The Bluetooth connection worked fine but the speakers were a little blown. Despite the condition of the duffy, we still had a blast. The crew was so friendly and attentive, especially to us newbies. They checked on everyone, made sure we felt safe, and never once made anyone feel inexperienced. That matters when it's your first open water dives. After dive two, they had HOT chicken soup waiting for us and it was actually good. Not just "boat food" good -- legit comforting after being in the water. There were also plenty of snacks between all three dives, which we definitely appreciated. Now that we're certified, we'll absolutely be back to dive Catalina with them again. Even the more experienced divers on board were welcoming and kind. I was hoping I'd see just one whale but in December, we saw 5 humpbacks ! Yesterday I wasn't too confident because one of the staff said the tour prior, they saw absolutely no life. Not even birds. But we went out and we saw a Minke whale and 3 humpback whales! One even waved for us. It was great. The staff is very knowledgeable about the whales and other animal life and even the surrounding area. Will definitely be back.
