I thought they open at 6am? Starbucks opens at 430am....... Maybe this parking Tesla need its own validation! I charged money there $10.12 and now I paid for that and they want more money from me, parking validation wants $12! I wanted the croissant or that egg burritos! The verde salsa was great! Being senior now I can't eat anything hot sauce like I used to! Even I am Asian American! Oh well, I will have to wait till it's open at 7am! I went to pull money at bank and i didn't have any money to pay. Now I am stuck! I shouldn't have got up at 3am when i got up. I need to stop sleeping early to wake up so early! The validation should be outside the door! Or don't have the parking gate down! Leave it open! I can't get out when I want to go out! Why isn't Tesla have a validation???? Why is Boardwalk doing this harassing customers? This is so stressful! I can't reach the push button to get a ticket! I have to get out of the car to push it. Cuz even I reach by unbuckling to push, I can't reach to get ticket when entering this parking lot! Customer service is not satisfactory ! As I am getting out of the car before I park the car. Remove this parking lot validation and fees! Let us shop around and charge cars when and what time we want to come! Then have everyone open 24/7! That makes sense!

Wow this place has really become a ghost town. I remember when it was bustling with stores and…read morepeople and music and now there is still music... a dj was there trying to keep people upbeat on a Friday but half the stores are empty. Since Nordstrom moved out it's just so eerie. Not a lot going on. I happened to come in as I was checking out a potential new gym which is coming in - Club Studio - and they're going to be pretty huge and take the old Bloomingdales space, people were super friendly and helpful so hopefully that will help but Santa Monica is gonna need a lot more investment in order to drive the people back to shop in person because there is really no good selection of stores of value - just a few boutiques and some brands like Nike or Johnny Was or Paige. Din Tai Fung and Cheesecake on the top floor which is great but other than that... let's hope for more stores in the future.

Anchor stores Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom closed recently. They do have upscale tenants like Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton, Tory Burch, COACH and AllSaints. There are also places to eat like Din Tai Fung and Cheesecake Factory. The Cayton Children's Museum is a fun entertainment option for kids. Santa Monica Place is three levels and has a L.A. Metro Rail stop nearby.

There's a Wells Fargo Bank, a bagel shop, liquor store, UPS Store, and more. It's recent exterior "remodel" looks great, but a large amount of the center space is currently vacant.

We traveled to Los Angeles, CA from Phoenix, Arizona and due to the rain we pulled off the freeway…read moreto Marina del Rey, CA. We parked our 40ft diesel pusher Motorhome behind the AMC Cinema next to Pavillions to do some shopping, get something to eat and see a movie. However as we parked Allied Universal Security, the security for Marina Marketplace, told us very rudely that we couldn't park there regardless if we were customers or not and told us to leave. So I suppose they don't want business from visitors visiting their city and plaza. So we left and went somewhere else. My advice to all visitors traveling to Marina del Rey to visit in an RV, avoid going to the Marina del Rey Marketplace, because you will not be welcomed there and security will tell you to leave regardless if you're driving a $500,000.00 diesel pusher motorhome.
