The Runway mall is an outdoor shopping and dining center, nested in the heart of West LA. The mall has a parking garage attached to it, and it's surrounded by luxury apartments in the Playa Vista area. This mall has four major buildings, and mainly serves the Silicon Beach neighborhood.

This is a very cool urban shopping area with a great farmers market on Saturday from 10 am-2 pm. They have a beautiful Whole Foods and Cedars Sinai and a Chinese restaurant that looks great!!

I would give one star but I put two because it is a very safe place to live. But it's NOT worth the cost of your freedom. If you value your liberty do not stay in this building. They find endless ways/ "excuses" disguised as "building policy" or "Safty drills" to ENTER your apartment without without you having to be home. All they do is knock and wait 30 or less second before using a master key to come right into your unit for things like " making sure you can hear your fire alarm" and " routine balcony inspections". They just send you an email telling you the day ( with maybe a week notice , or two weeks if your lucky) and if you were out of town you have absolutely no way of preventing them for entering. It's like nothing I've ever experienced before and I've lived in 18 luxuary apartment buildings in 6 major cities

This place is so beautiful! I really like the vibes here so I'll definitely return! I had attended the event taste of runway where we got a ticket and the restaurants provided sample bites!! It was so delicious especially the chicken burgers and the cheeseburgers and the french fries and many more and it was a lot of food that I actually got to take some home for leftovers and eat it the next day! Some vendors included ice cream, urban plates, neighbors, etc. I thought it ended at 830 and was so sad because i still had some tickets leftover!! Its my fault! Can i use these tic for nexx years event? Loo I seen they have a theatre here and lots of restaurants, whole foods market, and theres a structure w/ plenty of parking! There was also a band playing music and the scenery was just my kinda vibe!!!

Town Center is where the fun begins.

I enjoy coming to the Runway after a great walk in the walking path. You can shop, dine and catch a movie all the same place. This is great area to relax and enjoy your day or evening!

Great place around the area to hang out/chill. A lot of restaurants in the area and also Wholefoods. It is near a dog park which is about one block away.

I come here for the Saturday farmers market and it's always very cute! Tones of good food and crafts. I even picked up this awesome candle from one of the local vendors

Since Nordstrom moved out it's just so eerie. Not a lot going on. I happened to come in as I was checking out a potential new gym which is coming in - Club Studio - and they're going to be pretty huge and take the old Bloomingdales space, people were super friendly and helpful so hopefully that will help but Santa Monica is gonna need a lot more investment in order to drive the people back to shop in person because there is really no good selection of stores of value - just a few boutiques and some brands like Nike or Johnny Was or Paige. Din Tai Fung and Cheesecake on the top floor which is great but other than that... let's hope for more stores in the future.

While it was great to see only two empty storefronts, most businesses sell overpriced to super overpriced products to stay afloat. The mall is dated-looking, with a defunct water fountain, but the open second floor bathed in natural sunlight gives off soothing, chill vibes. The food court has about 9 places, mostly Korean but also a Vietnamese and Japanese katsu options. We ate fresh bi bim naeng myun (very chewy buckwheat noodles), ja jang myun (chewy noodles with black bean sauce and a nice amount of minced beef or pork), and fish cake on a skewer. Some places charge for a to go container and the cranky employee at the naeng myun place (the name's only in Korean, Kang San Myun Ok, refused to sell me to go in separate containers. Excuse me for wanting to separate the chewy noodles from the broth, as the noodles will lose elasticity from a long drive. The food court had many televisions broadcasting a World Cup match. There eating area is spacious with tables are cleared and wiped quickly. The outdoor dining are was closed the day we went. The supermarket is huge, organized and has the viral fruit-shaped ice cream that I adore, for $4.99 each. There's a Cake House bakery with mildly sweet Asian pastries and hot beverages. Their cakes are very expensive and beautiful. Cake slices are also sold. The mall has women's clothes, skin care, a bank, bookstore, children's toys, handbags and jewelry, and knick-knacks or collectibles. There's even a flower shop on a parking level right by the supermarket entrance. We were surprised to spend about 4 hours there. It's easy to spend a lot of time here as the parking is free! I will be back for the food and accessories in support of Korean-owned businesses.

I used to love shopping at Nordstrom Rack in the Fox Hills Mall (Westfield Culver City). I've been…read morea loyal customer for years and every visit I'd easily spend $400+ without any issues. Unfortunately, an experience about two years ago completely changed how I feel about this store. During my last visit, I was racially profiled and followed throughout the store by two asset protection employees (one male and one female). I have no idea why I was singled out. Despite being treated that way, I still purchased around $600 worth of items that day. What made it even more upsetting was seeing one of them waiting near the front door as I was leaving, as if they expected me to do something wrong. I even waved and laughed in disbelief because it was so obvious. He stood at the door after following me, once the second person started following me, then left that post after I walked out with my purchased items. What's even more frustrating is that I saw someone else (same ethnicity as the security that were following me) in the store actually stealing items, but because they were so focused on watching me, they completely ignored her. I saw her walk right out the door after stuffing her pockets and purse with stolen items. Unbelievable! That experience was disappointing. I left the store wishing I hadn't spent a dime there. Since then, I've never returned to that location. I even tried shopping at the Nordstrom Rack on Fig at 7th downtown recently, and unfortunately experienced the same thing, being followed around the store. Because of these experiences, I've decided I will no longer shop at Nordstrom Rack or Nordstrom. No customer who is spending their hard-earned money should feel targeted or profiled while simply trying to shop. Prior to the incident where I was followed around the store, I had another frustrating experience at this location. On a previous visit, I purchased clothes and other items. When I walked out, the alarm at the door went off, but another customer was exiting at the same time so I assumed it was related to her purchase. I had two bags of clothes and other items, and didn't notice anything unusual when I quickly checked my bags. About a month later, when I went to wear one of the dresses, I discovered the security sensor was still attached. It was black and blended in with the dress, which is probably why I didn't notice it earlier. I then checked the other clothes and two more dresses that I hadn't worn yet and found that they also still had sensors attached, hidden on the slip of the dress. I returned to the store to have them removed, but initially the staff refused because I didn't have the receipt. Fortunately, I had used my Nordstrom credit card and they were able to look up the purchase and finally remove the sensors. This situation could have been avoided if the employee had properly checked the dresses (since they hide their sensors) before bagging them. These are higher-priced items that typically have sensors attached, so you would think staff would be trained to know where the sensors are placed. But I don't totally blame the staff because they were hidden. Why not make them visible? Why place a black sensor on a black dress? Customers shouldn't have to inspect their purchases for security tags after leaving the store. Goodbye, Nordstroms! It was fun while it lasted.
