The only "negative" I have was that I requested the pizza with 1/2 jalapeno and full pepperoni... This was a great small Pizza spot hidden in Plano, Texas. The owner is from Brooklyn, and so am I originally. So I gave this place a shot. It wasn't jam-packed, and the staff was quiet and shy. The pizza was good, but not the best I have had. But for Texas, this is a more authentic style pie then these American pizza chains. I would go back if in the area again. The best pizza in North Dallas! I always stop by for lunch. The slices are huge and reasonably priced. The flavors are rich and filling. If I lived closer ( I only work close) I would order pizza from here regularly on the weekends. Rotating flavors during the week, always including cheese and pepperoni. My favorite is the meat combo and supreme, but all of them are really good. To top it off Sal the owner is a really nice guy, I'll be coming back for as long as I work near here. Tried them for lunch this week. The place was very casual and felt like customers were allowed to make them selves at home. I tried two different slices of pizza one with just Pepperoni and another with Pepperoni and Sausage. Both were good, particularly the one with Sausage was fantastic. BUYER BEWARE! Ordered from this place for a second time and shouldn't have. The first time when I dined in with my son, there was a long nasty hair in my pizza. No refund. The guy said he would only make me another pizza. If it wasn't for my son begging me to take the new pizza, I wouldn't have. I declined to eat their pizza that day because I was totally turned off. I figured everyone has a bad day, and since they have such great reviews on Yelp I gave them another try today. This time I placed a pick up order. I waited a few minutes, drove to their store, then proceeded to wait another 40 minutes while I watched other people order, eat, and leave. I also saw the delivery people come in and out twice, but I still had no pizza. When we finally got our food and drove home, my pizza was a disgusting, sloppy mess. So messy in fact, that the grease soaked all the way through the thick box it came in and ruined my pants because it was on my lap while my husband was driving home. The pizza looked like someone dismantled it. It looked so unappetizing that my husband refused to try it. I ate one piece and regretted it instantly. If I can figure out how to post pics through this app, I will. And you will clearly be able to see how gross it is. I can't understand how in the world this place has such high ratings. The food is at times hairy and always sub par, and the customer service is worse. I would definitely recommend staying clear of this hell hole. There are far better pizza places all around. Gosh, this unassuming place is so good for a pizzeria. I regularly fly in from New York on business and this is my go-to place for pizza now. I've also had their eggplant and chicken parm entrees with either spaghetti or rigatoni and it's the sauce that does it for me. Not the usual pizzeria style tomato sauce, but restaurant quality marinara - perhaps even evokes a flavor of my Aunt Frances' recipe. Servers are attentive. Prices are very reasonable. read more

I just ordered Marinara Pizza for the first time. I had placed for delivery and was notified that it would be at first 30-45 mins, then changed to 45-55 mins. It actually took about 25-30mins. They definitely get a star for quick delivery. They also get another star for the amount of food. I ordered the 18" white pizza for $15.95, same price as the 14". Large slices and very cheesy. I also ordered the garlic knots with marinara, which the container for the marinara wasn't secured properly and spilt all over the aluminum container it came in. I'm not mad nor will I deduct a star for the spill, just wishing I would have considered ordering an additional sauce, because it was very tasty! The garlic knots are $2.50 for an order, which is a much better deal then ordering bread sticks/twist/knots from any wide chain, like dominoes, Pizza Hut or papa johns to name a few. They're not heavily seasoned, which makes them much easier to devour. I also decided to give the Italian Cream cake a try as it's one of my favorite cakes and when made right and chilled, which was done here, makes it all worth while. I really want to try the calzone another time and maybe even the pasta. I really enjoyed the sauce so much that I feel like a pasta with marinara would be awesome! We wanted to have a great pizza delivered to our hotel room, which was located about 4 miles from this Pizzeria, but unfortunately they didn't offer delivery to the Renaissance Hotel in Richardson. We ventured off to find and try this highly recommended establishment. Being in from out of town, it wasn't very easy to find (using google maps), but now it's bookmarked for future stays! An established Italian family restaurant is the first impression upon walking through the doors. The pies are HUGE... New York slices and the ingredients are most likely generational secrets as they should be. This isn't a franchise type of pizza parlor. One pizza size available and it was enough to feed 4 adults and 2 kids. We also wanted to try the chicken fettuccine alfredo, which was AMAZING. We had to take the alfredo home, as there was too much food. The prices were more than fair for the quality and quantity of pizza we devoured. We were the only patrons in the restaurant around 2:30 pm on a Sunday, aside from an owner/manager (I assumed) who was sitting at a dining table working on his laptop. I only assumed he was an owner/manager because he summoned the chef after we walked in and stood reviewing the menu. I think it would have been a good gesture for him to engage us a little, maybe ask how we happened upon his establishment. I'll definitely be making this my go to Pizzeria while in Dallas for business. There's a white pizza with ricotta cheese, olive oil, and garlic that has my name all over it the next visit. From traditional to specialty pizzas, Marinara is delicious. I've tried their traditional cheese pizza, which was delicious. I was able to enjoy each basic component of the pizza. Their specialty pizzas are a bit much. The mediterannean pizza had too many flavors going on with the cheese and sun dried tomatoes on a crust. By all means it was still good but just had a lot of everything going on. Only downside is the wait time for food prep. I would suggest delivery or takeout over dining in. read more

Wow best pizza in Plano hands down. I love pizza and have been to most mom and pop pizza places in Plano, none compare to this place.
