We've gotten this for delivery once before and had the pizza and it was great. This time we decided to try the pasta and a sub. It was not good. The chicken Alfredo was bland and they don't even give you a full chicken breast. They took one breast, sliced it in half then that's what you get. It was super thin and over cooked/hammered. I'm not sure what Timothy M's, from Lewisville TX which on its own is a real dump of a town, reason for 2 stars really is but I can tell you that I just spent $100 dollars at this sparsely decorated simple immigrant owned pizza place and was utterly amazed at the quality portion size and freshness of every single dish my party ordered. My wife is as critical about food as Gordon Ramsey and she loved every bite. Yes the owner is brash dry witted and gruff... but he is honest and true. He did NOT try to get us to sign up for any kind of loyalty program... and he certainly will never have to after dinner tonight. When you walk in here and order a pizza, the owner will take fresh dough, spread it into a pie, and make the pizza from scratch right in front of you. He also has homemade sausage. I love the food I get here. You can taste the freshness and love that goes into it. We love this place. I usually get the supreme pizza with anchovies. Yes, anchovies! I recently tried a pasta dish and it was fantastic. I ordered the chicken parmigiana. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the breading was just right (nice and thin), the sauce was zesty, and the cheese...oh man the cheese. The pasta on the side was not only perfectly al dente, it was also sauteed in olive oil. What an amazing surprise for a place with "Pizza" in its name. Definitely try their pasta dishes when you are in the mood for pasta. I think they are BYOB, but I have not B my O B yet, so I am not 100% sure. I almost gave up on Texas's take on pizza. As I mentioned in previous reviews, I'm a real foodie from NYC, so I KNOW pizza. I also ate pizza in the birthplace of pizza, Naples, Italy. (Just an excerpt from my Foodie Resume). I walked in a skeptic and walked out a fan of this restaurant. The pizza is so delicious! The canoli and garlic knots are worth every penny. I ate a regular cheese slice. I didn't post a picture because I was so focused on the pizza, I forgot to take one. The pizza is not exactly like the pizza I grew up eating most of my life in the Bronx, but it's so close. The only major difference is that NY pizza shops make the crust a little thinner. We found this place using Yelp and I'm really glad that we decided to try it. The service was good, the pizza and side salad was good, and the canollis were good. Basically eveything was good. They have New York style, Sicilian style, and deep dish style pizza. The five of us shared 2 New York style pizzas and we had side salads. they brought us little garlic rolls that were hot, gresh, and so garlic-y good. The New York style pizza was thin and was not short on toppings. Our waiter brought us some free cannoli's for our first visit (according to him). They were good, a nice finish to dinner. I was craving original NY style non franchised pizza, I've driven by this place hundreds of times but never stopped in. Until now, I checked out the reviews which were all raving reviews. So I went ahead and ordered online a large Margherita pizza and the lobster ravioli. The online ordering was super easy and when I arrived in 15 -20 mins it was ready. When I got home I couldn't wait to dig in... omg so yummy the lobster ravioli was loaded in sauce and thick homemade ravioli. I tried Marinara Pizza for lunch yesterday. The place is not decorated fancy and after sitting at the shabby table, reviewing the sparse menu, we almost left. I'm sure glad we didn't! The owner is on sight and behind the counter making his pizzas by hand, and while he comes off a bit rough around the edges, by the end of our lunch he had made us feel welcomed and wanting to return. We ordered subs, pizza slices, and garlic knots. All we very, very good! The prices, while they initially looked high, were more than adequate when you saw the serving sizes. Even my husband and brother-in-law were amazed at the portions. The pizza was some of the best I have had in a while and the garlic knots, if you like real crushed garlic, were heaven! The subs were very good but I was lost in the yumminess of my HUGE slice of New York style cheese pizza to concentrate on anything else. If you like your pizza with a delicious tasting crust, crisp but tender to the bite, fresh ingredients, the size of your face, give Marinara Pizza a try. A real hidden gem in the pizza world! A family owned business that cares about there customers and have a real passion for food. The place was quant and clean. We really enjoyed the food. This was not just a great pizza but we also ordered the ziti. After watching a marathon of Food Network I found myself CRAVING Italian food. Texas doesn't have the best reputation for Italian so after extensive Yelping I was brought here. A lot of people seem to know the woman who works there. Had NO idea it's Brazilian..they have Brazilian pizza & quite a few ppl came in speaking Portuguese which was super cool. The place itself is clean as well. So we got a 14 inch white pizza white sausage, ground beef, onions, mushrooms, garlic chicken florentine with added sun dried tomatoes and a side order of garlic knots with an extra side or marinara. The pasta comes with 2 garlic knots. Total price was like 32 dollars or so. Everything was AMAZING. the pizza was so good! The pasta was super good...I thought it needed more seasoning so I when I got home I doctored it up on the side with some seasoning. BUT I will say this I'm just a flavor slash spice junkie so what's fine for others registers as slightly bland to me so don't let that deter you from trying it. It really is very good and super creamy and filling. I do recommend adding the sun dried tomatoes to the pasta it added such an explosion of flavor. The garlic knots are the freaking BOMB. So soft and full of so much flavor. Portions are pretty big on everything. Will definitely be back! read more
