Like many other things in Brooklyn, such as the beaches, I look at places which supposed to break to urban structure in a prospective of someone who live in Brooklyn, and appreciate every green or blue view :) Huge green grass area, where good for many activities. Great for kids, for people who like running, or just walk and enjoy nature. Need some works on the pavements and the general look, but it is a lovely park. I recommend. read more

Really like tennis courts over there. They have 16 hard courts and you only pay $100 per season, which is may through November. Really nice park in general! read more

Great day visiting Marine Park. After renting a few kayaks we decided to visit the Marine Salt Marsh Center. What an interesting journey. Very nice area to take a walk in or even stop and have lunch since there are benches scattered within. The center was very clean and informative. read more

I grew up hanging out in Marine Park. I think it's one of Brooklyn's nicest parks. There's a great nature center, and you can play just about any sport here. I used to love watching the cricket players when I was younger. Though my favorite part is the walking/bike trail that cuts through pretty much the whole park. I think almost every kid that grew up in Brooklyn has at least one or two fond memories of Saturday summer nights in this park. read more

One of the only places i go to hang out it has lots of space u can play almost any sport u want, plenty of basketball courts and handball walls. its really safe too, me and my friends were there at 11 and the most dangerous thing we saw was a old lady with a dog. really great place and the best hangout place in brooklyn read more

Great place for picnics or just sports in general. Used to come here for handball. They also have a recreation center I believe. Although I hate how this place is in the middle of nowhere and it's real easy to get lost. Also, if you come here, come here on a full stomach or buy something before hand at subway's. It's impossible to find food vendors or just food in general here. read more

I have enjoyed this park for more then 25 years but the last few year I notice a disruption on the jogging path more park Dept.vehicle driving directly on the path pretending to be working . I could see if they were clearing branches or leave but this is not the case. most of the worker are sitting around on the cell phones killing time.the trucks are very disturbing to the cyclist and joggers. I have experienced this many time personally. It was sent always this way a real waste of tax payers dollars. KJW read more

Huge park with lots of activities for everyone. Includes a water area for the hot summer and they just opened up a center where you can relax inside with ok bathrooms (as far as public park bathrooms goes). read more

It's my neighborhood park. I love that it's big, clean and close by. I hate that people can't stay in the appropriate lanes. Runners and walkers on the outside ring and bikers and rollerblader's on the inside. They are even signs that tell you that also. Get with the program people! read more

A nice park, lots of sport on a Sunday. Pretty views of water. Some parts smelled of urine. Overall really nice.

Huge space park. Great for dog walks or lay out on the grass. Its also great for bicycles and skates.

This is a great neighborhood park that can get a little crowded in the warm weather months. I spent many summers biking around the oval. Now I enjoy the nature trails on the south side of Ave U. Even on a summer day you can go for long strolls on the trails without seeing more than a handful of people. read more

Beautiful park, love to take my bike and ride around, lots of families and activities, love it.

I would give the park 5 stars except that there are so many people who do not follow the rules or have common courtesy. And the park attendants do not enforce the regulations. There are bicyclists riding on the pedestrian paths. People place their chairs on the half courts and "claim" them even though no-one is playing on them. Chairs which are set up willy nilly on these courts are dangerous to other players. There definitely needs to be some rules regarding these facilities. And the rules should be posted for all to see. If there is an empty court or half court and you have a permit you should be able to use it. read more

i live by brennan and carrs and it's a great place to do my daily 3 miles of running. this place really is one of the safest parks i've ever been to. i've gone running around 11pm and see people walking their dogs and even seasoned couples walking around. it's no central park but it does the job for south brooklynites. i definitely recommend a visit if you're around the area read more

BEWARE!!!! Even with a flea and tick preventative medication, my dog was covered in TICKS. I spent at least 4 hours picking them off of her. Found around 20. She's going to the groomer tomorrow to see if we missed any. It's fine for people, no one was bitten, just the poor pups. With that number of ticks, the place must be crawling with them. read more

Love spending the warm weather here, great for walking, running, just enjoying the local park. Always lots to do here - bicycle rentals, canoe rentals, free concerts, basketball, baseball and sprinklers for the children and child at heart. read more

I have lived in Marine Park for the past 33 years. It is the most open land mass in Brooklyn , and you can enjoy country living in the city. I have a short walk to the park itself , and can bring my kayak or canoe to the salt marsh and be in another world in 5 minutes. I owned a boat for over twenty years and that was a 5 min ride to the dock . There are free concerts and events in the park , and the aviator is a hop away where they have many different things to do as well . I love Marine Park Brooklyn and have a tattoo to prove it. lol FORGETABOUTIT it's the best. read more

Marine Park is another , what I call, "daytime" only park. For safety's sake, this park is best visited in daylight hours. If you must visit at night, visit early and bring a group of friends with you rather than take a solo visit. The park has nice group events that are run by Park Rangers. Pre-register for those events, most events are free. The park is huge, and in some of the park some groups play organized sports. There is a nice parking lot. Lots of people use their bikes in the parking lot and on the paths. Some were even using skateboards there even though it is not a skateboard park. read more
