I am beyond heartbroken and angry over the care my father received at Petaluma valley hospital…read more this was the worst hospital experience I have ever witnessed. my dad was completely neglected by both nurses and doctors, my father died because of their lack of care. the nurses never checked on him unless I constantly called and reminded them. the doctors were ever hardly around, and when they were, they made sarcastic remarks and spoke to my father in a way that was sarcastic and demeaning- as if he was not worthy of patience or compassion. one moment that will FOREVER stay with me was when a nurse was about to give my unconscious father a pill to swallow. I had to step in and suggest a cream instead because he was clearly unable to take anything by mouth. the fact that I had to advocate so strongly for basic, safe care is unacceptable. No family should have to beg for attention or dignity of their loved one. thus hospital's level of neglect is outrageous. patient's deserve compassion, respect, and proper medical care, and my father received NONE of that. I am devastated, enraged, and deeply disappointed that thus facility is still operating while treating people this way. no amounts of words will ever describe how awful this place is. terrible care.

We had a gap insurance for my daughter and came here for a check up. $220 for the visit, it took 45 minutes to be seen and the front desk is run by young folks who really seem like they could care less. We told them we were cash pay and we were offered (and declined) a $140 breathing treatment (not their fault we are cash pay) and they phoned in a prescription. When we went to pick up the two inhalers we were told it would be $1100 for the two. We called the Urgent care facility and gave them the feedback and had to borrow a friend's inhaler. One week later we received a phone call from the pharmacy asking if we wanted to pick up her new, $48 inhalers. This system is broken if the true cost is $48 but the insurance cost is $550. Why did the Urgent Care facility call in the cash pay Rx knowing we were cash pay and had just turned down their breathing treatment? Why did the Urgent Care return our call to tell us they had phoned in a new Rx? This place definitely has a turn and burn vibe which is disappointing (both doctor and staff) when a sick child is involved. They didn't even give me any kind of idea what could be happening.

Given that I looked like the significant other of my neighbor, the nurse asked if I wanted to go into the treatment area and sit with my neighbor. This kind of sucked because I was enjoying my audiobook, and I felt if I said, "naaa I don't give a sh*t, I barely know her!" I might not win any personality awards with the married nurse. So I went back there, made sure my neighbor wasn't dead, then went back to my audiobook in the lobby. Overall my neighbor said the doctor and staff were great so 5 stars! As a parent, I was thinking a couple of toys might have been cool, or some WiFi, but overall this place is for urgent issues and it did well.

The woman at the front desk was helpful and efficient. The intake nurse was friendly and easy to talk to and finally Colette the PA that we saw was reassuring, thorough and very kind. She immediately called in a prescription to the closest pharmacy and that was quickly filled. 10/10 would recommend this urgent care.

I'd used ice, benadryl cream, taken my prescribed anti inflammatory medications, and then used heat per the nurses advice at my PCP's office. THEY told me if the injection site continues to get bigger to go to Urgent Care. I marked my arm in the morning to keep an eye on it, the area grew from 3 inches to 4 in about an hour, the injection site is hard, hot, and itching. The person who "treated" me suggested ibuprofen (I'm already on a prescription anti inflammatory medication) and hydrocortisone cream (Benedryl) and marked my arm again. She said if it gets worse go to the ER!!! WHAT?? I went there for treatment as my PCP suggested due to my complex medical history. Let me be clear, this was not treatment, this could have been an advice line call. They shouldn't bill my insurance or me for this visit.
