BEASTED! Really good coffee. We got an americano and an iced vanilla latte and they were both perfect. Cool interior and great staff.

Whenever we stop into Dario's Place I always have a dessert, sandwich, or coffee. Sometimes both :-) thank you for the best hospitality and service in the Portland area. Everything I've tried on the menu has been really great. This Cafe has great hours too. Most nights they stay open late. Everyone that works behind the counter is friendly and does their best to serve great food and drinks. We love being here!. Check out their lineup for upcoming belly dance shows. Always entertaining with a variety of personalities and talents!.

Visiting PDX again, and had my first (and second) Turkish coffee here. Outstanding, friendly service. The barista I met was very kind and she explained a lot about the culture and coffee. I also met (I think) the owner on my second visit and he was awesome to chat with. The coffee was excellent. The atmosphere was very cozy and live music is there on occasion. .

Turkey panini was amazing! Staff are super friendly and accommodating. Prices are great 10/10

Great hole-in-the-wall neighborhood stop for coffee and sandwiches. A wide variety of coffee selections including Turkish coffee and espresso based drinks. The paninis are also a great option. I highly recommend stopping by to check this spot out.

Cozy place in SE to get a decent turkish coffee. Their regular coffee and espresso is also pretty good. Diverse, friendly and have live music once in a while. Also grab a beer or a glass of wine in the afternoon or evening!

This is a lovely mom and pop cafe. They do not sell any alcoholic beverages here but they have a large selection of drinks and snacks. I visited this location to see a friend play in her band. The stage is small and the crowd packs the place. It was an enjoyable experience and moving around was not a problem. I plan on coming back and trying more snacks.

Great service from friendly barista. I ordered the Chocolate Jesus and my kid had the Arabic People's Latte. Both drinks were unique and superbly delicious with cardamom accents. I've been here quite a few times and have really enjoyed the Aribic People's latte with its strong cardamon overtones, the Chocolate Jesus and today, the Mucho Calliente, which promises a chili infusion, and cinnamon infused espresso with dark chocolate! But wait..., oh no, I forgot to ask for oat... this is probably (certainly) dairy. Argh! Sorry, I have no Viking blood and can not digest cow milk. I would rather battle the aforementioned Viking before I'd endure the results of ... dairy! So, I brought my drink up fully prepared to pay for another and everyone there, EVERYONE, in almost unison, refused to take my payment. They kindly and quickly made another and... oh... spicy indeed, but chocolatey and balanced! One of the best spicy mochas I've had anywhere ... and I am an absolute Spella snob and proud of it! Inside secret: Don't miss out on the great selection of truly authentic Egyptian foods and pastries, as well as some really nice necklaces and earrings. If you need that piece to pull your whole Nefertiti look together before going out for a Saturday of dancing and fun... this is your hidden gem!

The Experience: I visited Golden Hour with a friend after taking a break from thrifting clothes around the Hawthorne neighborhood. What stood out: Food: I ordered the strawberry matcha latte with oatmilk. The presentation was gorgeous with layers of colors and textures. The drink was a bit sweeter than my usual taste but tasted high quality and refreshing. The crunchy strawberries on top were a yummy surprise. Ambiance: Golden Hour is quite small and sound carries. The workers talking to eachother were fairly loud. If I am in the area in the future, Golden Hour will be on my list to stop at!

I placed my order and the barista let me know about a vegan cold foam alternative. The drink was great and the matcha paired nicely with everything in the drink including pandan, coconut flakes, and vanilla. The interior was clean and there were plenty of places to sit. Lots of people hanging out in the shop, some working, some talking, but it seemed like a good spot to get some stuff done. There was music playing that set a welcoming mood. Overall, highly recommend if you enjoy flavored lattes.

Maaaaaaybe my new favorite coffee shop!…read more I had been to their other location but for some sad reason never made it here. Located on Hawthorne just past the curve at 50th, they've got plenty of free street parking in the nearby blocks. They don't have much external signage but they do have a lot of outdoor streetside seating, so it makes you wonder what everyone else knows. Inside, they've got Coava coffee, efficient staff, and an old-school cafe vibe. With multiple couches (one of my main criteria for a coffee shop) and free wifi, this is a place to work, meet people, and slow down. Great long hours - they're open 6am-6pm.

The intentions were genuine and things have progressed in a way where Albina Press is one of the most recognized coffee brands in the city. It's not too dissimilar from its OG sister location in North Portland (#3), where they still brew high quality caffeinated drinks with the vibes of a homey communal space with chairs, couches, and individual tables for a proper coffee date, WFH worthy WiFi, and plenty of anti-war propaganda in the self-serve water area in the back. The latte art was on point, the cold brew was most definitely strong, cafe au lait was milky and foamy in the best way, and the americano drinks were fabulous. While their hours (#4) aren't particularly suited for after-work hours, they do an excellent job of keeping their space clean and the vibes low key throughout the morning and afternoon. Prices are good for Portland standards. Most drinks are $5 and under, even for the largest sizes. The limited but high quality pastry selection is also appreciated. The service was good overall, just be certain with the order and don't be afraid to ask for recommendations. Lines can happen, albeit rarely, and I would encourage most folks to drink the coffee on the spot. The space is part of the experience (be weary of the restrooms tho), so enjoy the low key ambiance with a drinkable jumpstart to the day. The two-tops are fairly snug together so it can feel like you're eavesdropping or being listened to. There's counter seating along one side which had some refreshing morning sun- when a couple seats opened up there, we moved and were very comfy. There are a couple of cozy chairs in the front window and some additional counter and lounge seating in an adjoining room. The drink quality and presentation were high quality and delicious. The cost of a 12oz latte ($7) with no special milk was higher than other cafes I've been to recently around Portland including places that create their own syrups for specialty drinks of the month. That said, I don't begrudge the cost of a masterfully hand-crafted, drinkable cup of art and that is exactly what I received. I think the cost stuck in my head because the welcome did not feel particularly warm at the register. They were having an animated conversation with the barista and I couldn't help but feel like we were inconveniencing them by saying good morning and trying to order. When we picked up our orders, the barista was warm and friendly. Overall, it's a delightful spot in an equally lovely neighborhood.
