    Mmm. Sausage breakfast sandwich
    Lisa D.

I had their sausage breakfast sandwich and it was so dang good I went back two days later for a repeat. Yep. Still so dang good! The custard eggs are so fluffy, the sausage patty is thick and flavorful, the avocado emulsion is a nice addition, and the housemade cheddar roll is incredible with the crispy bits of cheese on the crust! It's also large enough to split with someone, in my opinion. Coffee is great, too! The service is friendly and the space is comfortable. I love that they share a space with (Ranch Pizza) a business that operates in the evenings. More places should do this!

Loro coffee has three locations, this one in Montavilla, and one Beaverton, and one in Vancouver -- which is a really great distribution. They aim to be a friendly neighborhood coffee shop with a small menu of pastries and snacks. They share this location and the Beaverton location with Ranch Pizza, which is a model I absolutely love! It makes the most use of the space so that there's something in the morning and then in the evening also. They do daily deals which are: 50% off flights on Mondays, two dollars off lattes on Tuesdays, a $1 8 ounce drip on Wednesdays, one dollar off cold brew on Thursdays, and one dollar off special drinks on Fridays. Their large drip is only four dollars. Their house drinks range from $6-7. So, overall, very reasonable prices in my opinion and how fun to offer daily deals. The space is great too. It's playful, modern, and thoughtfully quirky, with a warm color palette and awesome comfortable upholstered benches. I definitely plan to come back, and if I lived in this neighborhood, you would find me here very frequently.

Cardamom vanilla latte iced matcha and Bacon Breakfast Sandwich

I have to update my review :( I came in recently with a friend. She ordered an iced matcha and it was faintly green milk. She asked for more matcha and more was given but still not enough for a true matcha latte. I know matcha is expensive but for $7.00 I would expect a greener drink. I got a pumpkin pie latte and it was so good. Loved the music choice in the shop today.

Friendly vibes at Loro's Montavilla location. It's connected to/part of Ranch pizza. Excellent music and cozy seating. I really enjoyed the miso butterscotch latte, which was delightfully complex if a bit of a sugar bomb to me - I usually only drink black coffee or straight espresso but it sounded so good I had to try it. The people working at Loro this afternoon were so nice. I definitely want to come back sometime for their breakfasty brunchy offerings as they look great.

Perfect little nook connected to Ranch Pizza in the Montavilla neighborhood. I was happy to hear Daft Punk playing this day and complimented the music choice. Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger to start my morning off. Ordered the breakfast sandwich and a macha. Service was quick and the portyions of egg were nice ans large. Very happy to live around the corner from this cute spot.

Push Pull, tried it & liked it. Other option is a Loro blend for next time.

Stopped in at the recommendation from a yard sale down the street. The homeowner said go to Ranch Pizza. Loro Coffee is inside and it's great. So I did. And it was! I tried the single source Push Pull and enjoyed it. LoRo serves coffee till 1pm at a station inside of Ranch Pizza. Staff was friendly and the seating area was groovy. Stark St is full of good spots. I'll need to come back soon to wander.

The seasonal miso latte was so good with a sprinkle of salt on top! Drink came out fast and hot! Super cute layout with the pizza shop and booths. There's also WiFi if you need to get some work done.

Overall: 5/5 Drink: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambience: 4/5 What a lucky find! Loro Coffee sells both coffee and pizza, and since I was in the area I decided to get my coffee fix from Loro's. Upon walking in, I immediately noticed the lovely and cozy interior. Only qualm about the ambience was that some of the tables I sat at had left over pizza crumbs but that was about it. Music was great and seating was ample- perfect for getting some work done (they offer WiFi!) and or enjoying some pizza / coffee. I ordered a medium hot miso butterscotch latte- the barista was lovely and recommended me to get it hot! The best way to describe it is like a warm hug- you can definitely taste the miso and the butter- the flavors pair together nicely, and the flavors were reminiscent of a croissant. So yummy! I will definitely be stopping by here more often if I'm in the area :). Highly recommend!

Honestly I had high hopes since the reviews were so solid, but we left disappointed not only by the extremely small size of the drinks, but also the price. We paid close to $17 for 3 drinks this size, that tasted mediocre at best. The wait was also extremely long, over 25 minutes just for drinks. Not to mention the service was pretty bad, and the cashier had an attitude. It was really busy so maybe she was stressed ‍. Definitely a cute photo-op but there are so many better places in Portland!

Cortado, iced latte. Dog friendly in the outside patio.

Great customer service. Very friendly and helpful staff. They have house made syrups. Unique flavors. Very cute patio outside. I'd definitely come back.

Loro Coffee opened their second location in Montavillq and it's stunning. From the booth layout to the retro vibes, it has plenty of space to come enjoy some pastries, a slice of pizza from Ranch Pizza and coffee from Loro. They have WiFi, which makes it convenient for those who'd like to come work remote. Service is also great, so highly recommend stopping by to check it out!

The space itself is smaller and intimate, so bringing a larger group than about 4-5 people might not be ideal. The ambiance definitely gave Italy vibes, for sure. The chicken liver mousse was a good consistency, paired with the figs gave a nice balance between sweet and savory. The steak frites was a classic, steak was a good portion and cooked medium rare, but I'm sure if you wanted it more cooked through, you could make that request. The fries were definitely a standout, great texture and the garlic flavor gave a good contrast to the steak. My favorite dish was the dessert, the flaky crust gave a nice texture to the cream insides. I'm a huge passionfruit fan, so once I saw it was on the menu, I knew I had to try it. It didn't disappoint and I would definitely come back just for this dish alone. Overall a solid experience and would recommend people to try Canard out at least once!

To start, there is very limited parking but that doesn't count towards my review. This is just an FYI for people trying to park here. My fiancée and I walk inside to take a look into the menu and where we were standing was apparently a horrible spot to stand because a gentleman that worked there decided to insert himself into my fiancées personal space to clean or check on an order? I'm not sure. He was quite literally inches away from her back turned and not saying a single word to her with all this available space around him. I had to nudge my fiancée to get out of the way because she would've stayed there to prove a point because saying excuse me is something you learn when you're 6 years old lol. Afterwards, we go up to the cash register to order with that same gentleman and no smile or simple greeting occurred. I'm not a stickler on employees having to fake a smile but he genuinely looked disappointed more customers came in. So after a painful interaction with that, he slid our silverware to us and said nothing else. We sat down and little gnats were flying everywhere above our heads so no escaping that. We get our food from the chef who showed us what good service actually was with a smile and enjoy your food which I appreciated after not seeing a single friendly face here. Anywho, my review mostly comes down to the food. The image attached is the chicken fried steak and gravy with scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, and an English muffin. The chicken fried steak was beyond disappointing so please order what they are known for or you might be playing with fire. Thankfully I got to try my fiancées hotcakes and they were actually very good. They've perfected the fluffy texture with a nice rich flavor every bite. To continue with the steak. Very disappointed because if you look at the photo attached, this is the first time I've ever seen chicken fried steak look like that. Try googling an image of chicken fried steak and switch back to my image. Yeah that's what I thought. It did not have a soft and slightly crispy texture, it had a rough exterior with an unpleasantly juicy Salisbury steak flavor on the inside. The rest of my food wasn't as horrible thankfully. The eggs, English muffin, and hashbrowns weren't anything special. I did enjoy the taste of the gravy. To end this review, if you enjoy signature item restaurant that has a classic little pancake house atmosphere, you might enjoy this restaurant. Won't be coming back unfortunately.
