Or so I thought They told me they'd have to see the inside of the car to see what they had to do I showed them the inside They said it would be $150 to do it Was expensive but I said ok do it Next day I go to drop my car off they tell me it's $200 Not only did they mark up the price out of thin air But they left pieces of old stripped wires all around my trunk where they installed the subwoofer and left my door panels all out of place even breaking clips. If I could rate 0 stars I would. $200 down the drain for a job that for someone with experience takes less than an hour He even left a plastic wrapped car battery static protector I had in my car INSIDE the ported subwoofer box. Unbelievable. Went in and i was greeted by mike who right away got me in and took the keys to my truck and told me they would get in touch once they looked over everything and confirmed the repair. Next day i was called by his father Don who told me that it would need a new tank and that he had located one for me, turns out the tank was no good and he had then again searched and located another tank for me. making a long story short the tank that he had found was damaged by the shipping company during transport. Mike then got on the phone with the company that i had ordered the replacement tank from and had them send out another to the shop. All this time my truck was kept safe and sound! finally after all these issues with the fuel tank we had a nice tank delivered. In no time at all these guys got my truck running again and back on the road. These mechanics have to be the most friendly and kind mechanics i have ever met, I have been looking for a local shop for the past couple month to do my repairs when needed. It is safe to say i have found that shop and i will not be taking my vehicles to anyone else but these guys! To my knowledge , Bill sold GT automotive at least 6 years ago. I've been there a few times after he stepped away. Bill either came back out of retirement or is fronting for the new owners, Julie and her husband. I did not go to GT to make friends; however, Julie is rough, arrogant and lacks any semblance of HUMILITY and appreciation of customers. This place gets BUSY. When I brought my car in their garages were full and lot was nearly full. Still, after hearing my situation, Joseph fit me in as early as 9:30AM and finished inspecting (FOR FREE) and repairing my car by 2PM the same day. He was consistent with communication and explained everything that was an issue with my car and what needed to be fixed; and not at a single point did I feel like I was being taken advantage of. The price was also much fairer, and substantially cheaper (over $150 cheaper) than Pep Boys for better parts (metallic tubing rather than rubber) and better service. This is the type of honesty and integrity auto repair businesses should strive for, because this is how you get regular clients and a growing business. Definitely trust this place for car maintenance!
