For someone who doesn't have too much knowledge on cars, their recommendations are useful. I have noticed the price creeping up - now $86 per oil change which is pretty steep. I have also had some repairs done here. My car was flooded once after a nasty storm and they replaced some electronics on the inside. Had to bring it back once after that repair because my dash was showing airbag disabled warning randomly and they took a second look. They didn't find anything wrong (they quoted maybe loose connection) and still charged me ~$80 to fix nothing even though it was something that was overlooked by their repair. Service reps are nice and will explain any details you don't understand. Overall, comprehensive but emphasis on costly - you pay for that extra service, I guess.

My wife and I have been coming to Freedom Automotive for a few years. The staff are consistently friendly, always greeting you with a smile. They are helpful, always wanting to ensure you walk away satisfied. And they are knowledgeable, able to answer any question posed to them. Recently I was purchasing a used vehicle on the other side of Houston. Naturally I wanted Freedom to inspect before the purchase. But the dealership wouldn't allow the car to be transported. So, I called Freedom and the owner, Sunny, answered and said he would perform the PPI. This was all last minute. Another time, I was stranded due to a vehicular issue. After talking to Sunny he went way out of his way to drive to where I was to inspect and resolve the situation. That is how dedicated and how much he cares about his customers. I can't recommend any other place above Freedom Automotive

I probably ended up paying a bit more than I could have somewhere else, but the service was good enough to be worth it.

I brought a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox to the shop on April 3, 2026 for diagnostic and repair of a…read morecheck engine light, catalytic converter-related codes, and a loud exhaust noise. shop diagnosed the issue/codes and performed repairs including installation of a universal catalytic converter, muffler repair, and one tire replacement, for which I paid approximately $822. They told me that something did cause the Cat to go bad & recommended a Tune Up. So I got that done. I returned on April 11, 2026 after experiencing what felt like my tire getting ready to fall off/wobbly- despite the shop performing suspension-related repairs including front lower control arms, two additional used tires, tire rotations & an alignment- less than a week later I continue to experience the same unsafe driving conditions, including sensations that the wheel is unstable or may detach. This indicates that the repairs were either improperly performed or failed to resolve the issue they were intended to fix. The shop performed additional repairs on April 12-13, 2026, including installation of a pre-catalytic converter, suspension components, ignition coils, and spark plugs (tube up), based on THE SHOPS recommendation that underlying issues were causing catalytic converter failure. I paid additional costs for these repairs im the amount if $1944. Within days of these repairs, the check engine light returned. Upon returning the vehicle, the shop then identified a cracked exhaust manifold and informed me that the BRAND NEE installed catalytic converters were already damaged or "burnt out," and would need to be replaced again. the shop failed to properly diagnose and identify the cracked manifold and underlying cause prior to performing extensive and costly repairs, resulting in unnecessary repairs and continued mechanical failure. I have since taken my car to two other mechanics who have given their expertise & have both agreed that the work done by this shop was not done completely as well as that I would have to get most of the work done AGAIN. Buyer beware.

Once again this shop saved my bacon!…read more The spouse had two encounters where she destroyed two wheel rims on the same wheel. That's bad luck and I finally got that fixed at the tire shop but there was still a shimmy at highway speed. Finally I remembered that I should get the front-end alighment checked out after something like that occurred (the tire shop won't fix it). One Stop Auto took a look and found that the bushings were worn out and needed replacement on the front-end cross-braces to the sub-frame (After all, he car is a 2009 model) . It cost several hundred, but they gave me a discount on the parts. Now it's fixed it up and drives great once again. Furthermore they warned me of a few items that would need service in the next year or so also and told me what symptoms to watch for. These guys are simply the best: they do deep diagnoses on your car, search for good prices on parts and then, once you OK it, do the work very quickly. They're a great example of how an excellent organization is more than the sum of its parts.

I've had work competed in the past and so I had a major service that needed several hours to complete.
