Located in a strip center off Mexico/ Muegge roads it's definitely worth the visit. Delicious aroma greets you upon entering as does2 large cases filled with donuts , cannolis and other varieties of desserts. They have breakfast and lunch menu and offer table service in a nice clean well lit and nicely decorated dining area as well as carry out The donuts are light and so delicious and making a choice was difficult, next time I'll try a lunch choice and update on that.

My visit to Mario's was a refreshing one. I was feeling some quick breakfast, but didn't want to go to a fast food chain and decided to try a small family owned business Mario's. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff, and surprised how fast the service was with how busy the restaurant was. The dining room is large and open, and they even have a relaxing area for families with games and entertainment items. Mario's has quite a large menu for breakfast and lunch, which made it easy to find something I'd like. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese texas toast, a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant, a ham, egg, and cheese bagel, an order of fries, and a glazed donut to go. The texas toast, croissant, and bagel were hot, delicious, and satisfied my itch for a good breakfast. The fries were perfect, they added a nice crispy and batter fried deliciousness to the meal, and the glazed donut made for a wonderful fluffy dessert to go with my breakfast. I highly recommend visiting Mario's if you're looking for some breakfast and want to support a small family owned business.

I got to meet the owner and they were extremely friendly and the biscuits and gravy were delicious. They have new decorations. It really looks cool. Again, I can highly recommend Mario's donuts. In fact, I bumped my stars to five.

My favorite sandwich is a gyro. I heard that Mario's serves a good one so I stopped by for a late lunch on a random Tuesday. I ordered the gyro and fries. The gyro was made of a presliced gyro meat that was the thickest I have ever seen. It was almost sausage like. I've eaten the thin strips from Restaurant Depot more times than I'd like to admit and this was not that. It also wasn't freshly sliced off a gyro cone. If I had known this I would not have gone. It was greasy enough that the pita did not hold up. The French Fries were your basic bagged food service fry with no extra seasoning. It was a sad meal. I abandoned ship after about 5 bites here. I can't speak for any of their other food since I have not had it.

Great menu selection with excellent pricing. We arrived shortly before closing on a Sunday and placed a large order to go. Understandably a bit of a wait, but well worth the time. Everything is prepared fresh and delicious. We added an assortment of donuts and baklava to our meal choices, which everyone loved. My daughter especially enjoyed the coffee flavored donut, and the Baklava...oh my goodness, incredible! Attractive decor & super clean establishment. Will definitely return.

My husband and i went today and the donuts that we love so much has really changed they must have a different baker because they were awful. I have never tasted donuts this bad ever they were dry and the frosting was flaking off. I will put a picture of what the old fashion's use to looked like . And what they look like now. My husband went in yesterday they must have the people that worked there from before ,it was late in the day so they didn't have many donuts. The donuts were so good glad they got the old cook back , I am so happy because the people that work there are very nice and the donuts were spectacular. I will be back thanks

I have become a regular at Mario's because I take donuts to my work team on a weekly basis. Each week when I enter, the staff is very friendly and quick to help me with my order. I always get an assortment of donuts and the staff and I think that they are excellent! They are very fresh and always taste great. I suggest that you give them a try. Mario's, which I have passed this place several times because i was wary of this place I do not like a bad doughnut nor do I need one. However, my son was like mom can I have a doughnut for the weekend? So I finally landed here. I was quickly greeted and asked, " How may I help you"? I informed him it was my first time so I needed a minute and then I was given a sample, which sold me. I ordered Coffee and a few doughnuts for us. Let me start off by saying Mario coffee is Good and smooth....If you know, you know.. As I got my coffee I noticed how clean the place was which is. great thing. So I tasted a cake doughnut and glaze these doughnuts were just right for me. The kind of doughnut that is fresh and not too sweet, which sometimes can take away from the experience. but it was not greasy nor too sweet. i was like if i can enjoy my coffee and doughnut together without feeling guilty then this is a winner in my book. Just recently had their donuts. We brought them in for a work meeting, and they were great. The apple fritter was awesome. Not over cooked like so many other shops tend to do. The cinnamon rolls were a hit, along with the long John's. There was a little line when we got there to pick up our order, but it went fast. Our donuts were hot and fresh as could be. read more

I love this place, it really is a hidden gem for lunch or dinner, I think people think of it as a breakfast place due to the name. My only complaint is I wish they carried at least one type of vegan donut. But I love the felafel gyro. I have been here multiple times, I don't mind that there is only one thing I can eat, as it is very tasty! The dining hall is nothing special but it is clean. Friendly staff. read more

Diverse variety of donuts and food. Fun and relax atmosphere with plenty of seatings. There's also free wifi with usb plugs and some fun antiques/collectibles. Order at the front and food will be called out by order numbers. But if you order donuts, you get them right away! They do take out and dine in. This is a hidden little gem off of Mexico Rd and Cave Springs. Hidden in a small strip center directly in front of Home Depot this is a great place. Serving breakfast and lunch and some of the best donuts around their signature donut is the glazed croissant. Currently open for take out only I had the Gyro and it reminded me of street vendors in NYC and that's a good thing. My gyro was loaded with meat, it's a meal. The Mrs had the Philly and was equally pleased. On top of that the owner Holly is an absolute sweetheart, I'll be back again and again. read more

Really tasty options here - and in a great location that is easy to get to/close to shops. The staff is friendly and patient! I've always gotten the omelets and they're always cooked fresh and HUUUUGE! My husband got the gyro this last time and he really enjoyed it. Four stars because they run out of baked goods (donuts and bagels) super fast, so you have to get there in the morning. read more

You would never guess this donut shop has the variety of foods that they do. We have been a few times and have never been disappointed. Stop in for donuts or grab a sandwich or salad. Their breakfast sandwiches are great. Last time I got a bacon, eggs, and cheese in a croissant- they cook it fresh to order and it comes out hot and fresh. The donuts are your standard donut variety. They are good, not my favorite though. The Apple fritter was the same good, but nothing I'd rush back for. read more

Food is good but not as good as old owners and prices went up since the new owners. You used to get a gyro salad for 9.99 now it is 13.99. No banana peppers and only a few olives. Past owners had more feta cheese staff is friendly though still read more

Linda who answers the phone is very rude and rushed you to still get there and your order is wrong. When I got there the 2women n the back was making food and fixing sandwiches without any gloves, when I ask was they going to put on gloves Linda up front stayed no. The women n the back came out and passed bahs to customers and went back to the back and started back preparing food without washing their hands smh so nasty. Would not be eating here again. read more

***BEST DONUTS*** came here for breakfast last week. Long line due to it being a Sunday. Had to wait in line a while for our breakfast sandwiches. They were no big deal, but those donuts we bought to tide us over til our food arrived....light, airy, delicious and no upset stomach. Donuts always give me a stomachache. It's not possible that every single one of these dishes is good; it would be a smart move to decrease the scale a little bit in order to increase the quality. no way line cooks can execute everything on the menu perfectly that said, i was pretty happy with my experience here. i got the salmon, which came with a biscuit, and the sides i got were corn, carrots, fried okra. my main issue with my food was that the carrots were sweet, which i wasn't a fan of, but everything else was great, including the salmon the price is okay. to be honest it's a good deal for a 24 hour restaurant. you have to pay higher prices at a 24 hour restaurant because they have more overhead from running electricity, insurance, labor, compared to other restaurants, by basically double. with that in mind i thought it was reasonable would come back

I had this place in the bookmarks and figured now was the best time to visit. Parking can be an issues in Downtown St. Charles since it is limited to street parking or public parking a few blocks away. We found parking right in front of FPC, mainly because it was a cold, Monday morning. We were greeted immediately, and inside was much smaller than I expected. We got seated right away though, and a good chance to really review the menu. I got a house coffee (delicious), and my husband got a Purple Haze Lemonade. We ended up getting a kid's pancake with bacon and scrambled eggs, Short Rib Breakfast Stack, and a Bomb Burrito. The pancake for my 2 year old was MASSIVE so it was a good day for him lol. The short rib stack was yummy - hash browns with runny eggs and meat on top. The burrito was also pretty good. Our breakfast entrees came with a side order of potatoes and while it was good, it got saltier over time so I might not get that next time. They advertise beignets, so we might go for that next time and try out their lunch menu!

The chicken salad was well seasoned and paired perfectly with a juicy tomato slice and iceberg lettuce. MeMe's does offer a variety of hot and iced coffee. The milk selections are limited. I also found the coffee to be too sweet for my tastes. I'll have them add a lot less sweetener next time. Prefer hot coffee? They offer a small bar of sweeteners and flavored creamer to customize your coffee. All in all a delightful experience. The food and service are great.

Instead, I headed over to the pastry case and immediately spotted a chocolate croissant. Chocolate croissants are a favorite in my family, so I knew I had to try one. I had the pleasure of talking with the woman working behind the counter, who turned out to be the owner. She told me she makes the croissants by hand every single day, and you can truly taste the care and effort she puts into them. What makes these croissants stand out is the chocolate distribution. Instead of getting one small section of chocolate that disappears after a couple of bites, the chocolate is spread throughout the entire croissant, making every bite just as good as the last. I bought one that day and immediately knew I needed to go back. That weekend, I returned and bought enough to share with my entire family--and everyone loved them! They have quickly become a family favorite. My daughter and I recently took a trip, and on our way to the airport, I made sure to stop by Meme's Cafe to pick up chocolate croissants for us to enjoy on the flight. Sharing those croissants in the air made the trip even sweeter! I highly recommend stopping by Meme's Cafe. The food is delicious, the owners are incredibly friendly, and there is always something new and tempting to try.
