    Toasted Ravioli
    Anna G.

Came here with a friend on a Wednesday night. I was shocked at how busy it was. When we sat at our table, our waitress was super sweet and attentive. We got our bread and appetizer pretty quickly. We got the appetizer of the goat cheese and pita it was so delicious. I got the pasta con broccoli, and it was pretty good. The lasagna seemed like it took longer to cook and came out Piping hot where my pasta con broccoli wasn't necessarily hot. The lasagna came out a cute dish, which was cool. The tiramisu came out and it's not the best tiramisu I've ever had, but it was pretty good and came in a cute little glass. Solid experience on the hill.

One of our favorite restaurants on The Hill! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. They absolutely love dogs on their patio and even partner with Ciao Chow pet store to provide your pups with "Toasted Ravioli" treats! Their food is fantastic! Everything from their Caprese Salad with Burrata to their pasta and pizza and down to their desserts. Their dining rooms are lively and the restaurant is filled with the best smells. As mentioned, big fan of their patio as it's dog friendly and is right on the side of the building, where you can watch the crowds walk by. It is covered and even has fan

It was good. Not fantastic. Service was great. The restaurant is big so bring everyone. We had two apps. Calamari and the artichoke hearts. The hearts are huge! I used the marinara from the calamari because I liked it better. They were good and very filling. The calamari was good with a nice crunch and tender. We ordered the Italian Salad. The dressing was way too salty and it was dressed too heavily. The lettuce was not right for an Italian salad. I had scampi. Cooked very well but too much sauce and not enough acid. My son loved the lasagna. The pesto pasta was fine but not fantastic. The restaurant has I think two bars and has a lot of seating. It's cozy and a great place for celebrating. I think it was an off night. I'll definitely return

Grilled Salmon Pasta with Alfredo Sauce

WOULD definitely recommend. Came by for a quick dinner after a long day of errands and shopping. We didn't have a reservation prior, which I would recommend especially for a Saturday evening (reservations made via SpotOn). We were able to get bar seating that night anyways and still had good experience. They had an extensive drink menu with so many different pastas, pizzas, appetizers, and sides to choose from. We started off with drinks, got Moscow Mule (9.4/10) & glass of Lambrusco (9.0/10), both of which were made very well, the bartenders seemed to have sufficient experience. For appetizers, we order the Toasted Ravioli and Kale Caesar Salad. The toasted ravioli was not too crunchy, which I actually liked. Most of the time, toasted raviolis are so flaming hot and crispy that its hard to taste the filling because it falls out, but this one wasn't that which I enjoyed (8.6/10). The Kale Caesar Salad was also good, just wished it came with a little more salad dressing, a problem which can be fixed (7.8/10). For our entrees, we order the Chicken Parmesan w/ side of Bolognese pasta and the Grilled Salmon Pasta w/ Alfredo Sauce. The chicken parmesan was cooked well, fresh, with amazing marinara, cheese, and parsley garnish (8.9/10). The Grilled Salmon Pasta comes in garlic butter sauce but we asked to replace with Alfredo sauce and it was the best decision we could have ever make. Their alfredo sauce is very authentic with ample cheese amount, tastes nothing like store bought alfredo which was great (9.4/10). Overall, the food had pretty great quaity. All in all, this restaurant was very good to us, service was on point. The food was definitely the best part of the experience. Pricing was not bad at all for the dishes we received, with adequate portioning. This is a great family-friendly restaurant if you have people from out of town and want a nice cozy Italian dinner. This might be my go-to for Italian if I have to choose again in the near future.

My family and I went on a Friday night after the holidays and they were booked but we were able to walk in with a 30 minute wait. The service from the bartender was excellent to the our server making us laugh. The food came out quickly and fresh. My chicken Parmesan was wonderful. Something about homemade marinara sauce just hits. All of their pizzas are 5+ and you cannot go wrong with it. I love how they keep the restaurant cute and decorative throughout the seasons.

The wait was terrible on a Friday at 5:15. I thought we would beat the rush but we were waiting for an hour and fifteen minutes. The service and atmosphere was great and the chicken parmesean I got was delicious. The pasta on the side was a little underwhelming. I think they could do better with the freshness of their ingredients. It feels like they just make the sauce and pasta in a big batch and store it for a while. The chicken parmesean was a good size serving but I was disappointed in the amount of chicken served. It is pretty thin, would like it a little thicker or have another small one added to the plate. The ricotta cheese on top is a nice touch I will have to try for my own made ones. It would be hard for me to want to come back again as the wait for the meal was definitely not worth it.

Came here for the first time with coworkers after work and I had heard really good things so I was excited. The place is pretty spacious! Small hiccup to start, I ordered a lemonade and it tasted really off, almost like there was something weird mixed in or maybe their machine was having an off day. I politely let the waitress know and she was super sweet about it, no issues switching me to something else. We got the toasted ravioli for the table and it was delicious! I had a salad and a pasta dish and the portion sizes were generous, I'd say maybe half our group finished their plates and the other half had leftovers to take home. The handmade pasta is very popular here. The place also had like a private party room with an event going on, so it's definitely a great spot for bigger gatherings too. I want to come back to try their pizza because I kept eyeing everyone else's tables. Highly recommend.

First time at Anthonino's and it was great! Service was awesome and I highly recommend making a reservation. I went with a group of friends and we shared plates so we got to try everything. For an appetizer we ordered the toasted ravioli. It was crispy and delicious (might be the best I've had in St. Louis!) Loved the cheese in the maraina sauce. The gyro pizza was unique, really interesting with the feta and pizza cheese. I probably wouldn't order the pizza again though. Then we also tried all the deserts: gelato, cheesecake and cannoli. It was fabulous!! I think if I go again, I'd order the pasta as my main entree too.

WOW. Great atmosphere, great food, great service. Came in at about 8:30, 2 adults 5 kids. Total chaos. Our server Bailee, was so patient, helpful and pleasant our entire time. I ended up ordering the lasagna. WOW. PIPING hot (actually burned myself on the dish it came in, lol), so flavorful and tasty. Pasta cooked to perfection. I wish it had more meat, but delicious nonetheless. My friend ordered pasta con broccoli and said her dish was also delish. My daughters had meatball pasta, a cheese pita pizza and shrimp Alfredo. All dishes were devoured. I will DEFINITELY BE BACK, I can't wait to try a pizza!!!!

I have been meaning to go here for awhile but finally went for lunch. I highly recommend you get a reservation ahead of time if you can- especially if it's over the lunch rush. There was about a 45 min plus wait if you didn't want to sit at the bar. The restaurant was much longer than what I thought. What's cool about Anthonino's is they do greek, italian and pizza! Its hard to decide. We did a mixture! We started with the saganaki appetizer, which was fantastic. It wasn't the traditional style where its put on fire at your table and served as a block of cheese. It was sliced into strips and grilled. Really flavorful and salty. It comes with pita bread and tzatziki dipping sauce. I wanted more! I also got a house salad, which was really good but I should have asked for the dressing on the side. They put too much on. For my main- I had Beef Tortellini with pink sauce. It really fresh and homemade tasting. Others got a salad with gyros and the fish stew- everyone loved their meals! Service was fast and our waiter was helpful. I would absolutely come back and try other things. Overall experience 4/5

Nom! I love ravioli and Anthonino's was doing a special Lobster Rav for Lent this year! It was delicious! The ravioli is stuffed with north Atlantic Maine Lobster, prima dulce ricotta, pecorino Romano, and served with a brandy cream sauce. I also added cremini mushrooms which added to the flavor. My Manhattan wasn't the best, but I was honestly just there for the ravioli, and it did not disappoint.

One of the best lunches ever! The toasted raviolis were absolutely amazing. And the steak pasta special was perfectly cooked, seasoned, and portioned. The service is very friendly and the establishment adorable. This is one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to across the country. Definitely worth a visit.

First, our server was great. Sweet, knowledgeable and celebratory (as it was a birthday)! The space itself was busy, we had a 7 PM reservation and got sat about 7:20 so not too long of a wait. It's a pretty casual vibe, don't have to be too dressed up but you for sure can! Now the food: They can fry some good stuff. Ravioli and Mozzarella sticks were great. Cheese bread was okay, could've been a little crunchier for me. I ordered the garlic , chicken, spinach pizza. Delicious! I will say it was a tad soggy in spots but the reheat was on point! Good flavor. My love has the Carbonara, first time having it and it was great. They make their own pasta and you can tell it's made with consistency.

I called to place an order, the man that answered was very short, he said they were busy and wait would be an hour and and a half, I said that's fine. Got to the place to get the pizza, my husband went in to grab it and the man at the counter was rude and short with him. Also the place was empty so maybe we called in the order during a dinner rush hense the 95 min wait, again NBD. An employee pulled the pizza out tossed in in the counter and walked away. Then a younger employee walked up to the counter and collected money. I'm hoping the older man was just having a bad day, but being rude in 2 different manners is not a good look. When we get home and started to enjoy this pie half way into eating a slice was a nice piece of rubber, kind of looking like a hair tie or something. Now that's a huge turn off. We ordered a large pizza with bacon, green peppers, and onions. They were incredibly accommodating when my husband asked for only half the pizza to have the toppings he doesn't like, no problem at all. The owner's son was there and shared a bit about the family history, telling us about his father and grandfather who started the place. That personal touch made our visit even more special. It's layered with pistachios, pesto, and squash, creating such a unique balance of creamy, nutty, and savory flavors. It was rich without feeling too heavy, and every bite felt incredibly comforting yet elevated at the same time. Definitely one of my favorite lasagnas ever. We also shared the prosciutto di parma, which was sliced thin and had a wonderful, authentic flavor that set a high bar for the rest of the night. For the main course, we tried two very different but equally amazing dishes: Pepperoni Pizza: The addition of hot honey was a game-changer. It added a bold, spicy kick that balanced the salty pepperoni perfectly. Cacio e Pepe: This was truly spectacular. It's a simple dish that is hard to get right, but this was easily the best I've ever had outside of Rome. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the peppery flavor was throughout. To drink, we ordered the Old Dolce Vita, their unique take on an Old Fashioned.
