I drive past this place several times a week and have always wanted to give it a try. My fiancé and I recently visited for the first time and were greeted by friendly staff. There wasn't as much to choose from as I expected, but we both found something that we liked. The ambiance is not very warm. It's similar to a typical Chinese fast-food restaurant, with cheap tables and chairs that are pretty close. There are a lot of missed opportunities here to improve the ambiance and feel. What gave me a bad impression immediately was the sticky floor in front of the counters. It gives an unclean impression. To the right of the counter, against the wall, was a machine that looked like it had a large piece of meat hanging in it. Maybe they strip pieces off as needed - I am not sure, but from a customer-facing position, it looks rather odd and unappealing. Our table was extremely wobbly. The food was just OK. We laughed at the "meat locker" and discussed the establishment overall. We agreed that we were glad to have tried it, but will not be back. read more

A little disappointed in the presentation of the food, but the flavor in the sandwich was good! It was a little messy, in fact a little soupy. It consists of mostly beef flavor, but there is a good seasoning on the meat, and a decent portion on the sandwich. Fries aren't worth it but I did appreciate the sauce being on the side. I've heard about this place for a while and I finally got to try it out. We ordered pickup so we could evenly it at home. Now I love a good falafel, but with living in Turkey for a couple years, I've become a snob for them. These were so fresh and had such a perfect crunch! The is my family's go to location for this chain. They are always fresh and hot and just perfection. I always get the same thing, the Gyro Classic. It's everything I want it to be and it's the same every... single... time. The service here is simple and quick, you walk in, order at the counter, they bring it to you in under 10 mins, and that's with 8 of us ordering food! Inside is nice and clean and bright. May need sunglasses in here if light sensitive, but perfect area for kiki and lunch. read more

I eat at the O'Fallon Soulard Gyro somewhat regularly and really like it. I decided to try this newer Wentzville location recently when I was out that way. I ordered the Gyro Bowl (Lamb and Beef Gyro Slices, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, red cabbage, spicy tzatziki sauce and pita served over basmati rice.) I asked for no tomato and added feta. Their food is great but I feel like even when you pay to add the feta the portion added is not generous and their protein portion was also small. Otherwise it's always delicious. I just got the regular degular but with extra tzatziki and tomato and it was delicious.. to the point where I live about 13 hours away and I would drive just for it. I love the original Soulard Gyro in the city. We were out in this area to pick up something and I had to have it! For the area, they were pretty careful for covid. All their cooks had on masks and it was easy to social distance. Their cashier wore one when checking us out, but took it off after which was disappointing. Food was good, servings felt smaller than the original location and it didn't feel as flavorful, but it was quick and easy. We'll definitely continue to go to the main one in the future. read more

Tried it out today. Not going back. Orders the gyro bowl and the hummus dip. The bowl was ok except the rice. The rice had a weird texture to it. It was kinda dry. The hummus dip was good. The tzatziki is what really threw me though. Both sauce cups were pressured. The packaging was expanded. I opened one and it exploded on my floor. Tried to place an order to go online using two different cards but the website would not take them. Called on the phone. I asked for a Classic gyro bowl with rice, extra tzatziki sauce (1/2 original/1/2 garlic), extra feta cheese. I received an entree with browning, shredded iceberg lettuce, raw purple cabbage, a tasty pita, and gyro meat that lacked any taste of lamb or garlic...just beef. There was no rice. The tzatziki sauce was watery and lacked garlic taste. The staff was very friendly. I ate 1/4 of the plate and gave my dog the meat. So yes, the meat was suitable for a dog but not a human. I will never order from Soulard Gyro again. read more

We ordered online for pick up at 5:45pm. Arrived at 5:45 and I was the only person there. They said it would be a while and to have a seat. About 12-15 minutes later they brought me to to go order. We got 1 regular fry, 1 chicken gyro with olives ($1 extra) and 1 chicken gyro without onion. Got home and 1 had olives and 1 had onions. Fixable, yes, but kind of annoying. Also the menu says the chicken gyro comes with tomatoes but we didn't get any. Took off 2 stars for being late on the order when they weren't even busy, and messing up the order. It did taste good and we will probably give them another chance. I did give them a good tip when I paid online - so we paid about $26 for dinner for 2 (didn't order drinks since we ate at home). read more

Stopped there for lunch during a road trip. I think the classic gyro is a good indicator of how good a gyro restaurant is. The classic gyro was delicious with the right amount of tzatziki sauce. They were slightly busy during lunch time but the food was ready after about a 5 minutes wait. The service was excellent. I will be back for sure. read more
