For the last two years, my wife and her sister visited numerous facilities, determined to find a place where their mom would truly be happy. But time after time, something was missing. Their mom was understandably reluctant to move. She had deep emotional ties to her apartment--it's where she had lived with her late husband, and leaving it felt like leaving part of him behind. Then they discovered Tuscan Gardens. From the moment they walked in, everything felt different. The staff was warm and welcoming. The community was immaculate, bright, and full of charm, with cozy nooks and inviting spaces around every corner. They spoke with residents who genuinely loved living there--and it showed. Still, the biggest test was introducing the idea to their mom. They brought her to visit... and she lit up. She loved it! The decision was made, and she moved in shortly after. Now? She's thriving. She has a big smile on her face every day. She's surrounded by friendly, caring staff in a beautiful, healthy environment. For our family, it's been a huge relief. We finally have peace of mind knowing she's not just "getting by" but actually enjoying her days. That confidence and comfort are priceless. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Tuscan Gardens! She was ignored repeatedly when she needed help going to the bathroom, the food was terrible, and they would never return the calls from family when trying to get hold of her directly failed. The staff just didn't seem to care as her mental state went from bad to worse. They wouldn't even let her leave when we were demanding them to, probably to get more insurance. It wasn't until we could get her into a nice assisted living facility that she started to perk up and become herself again. DO NOT GO HERE!

He was walking with no assistance, had no sores or wounds on his body when he moved in on March 19, 2019. After the first two weeks (they don't want you to visit the first 2 weeks) he collapsed, was sent to the hospital with pneumonia, mulitiple pressure sores on ankles, heels (stage 2), hip (stage 3), buttucks and back (stage 2), swollen legs and feet, rash, irregular heart beat and could not walk or stand on his own. With out my knowledge he had been given a drug to keep him quiet, a drug that has a black box warning from the FDA that says "do not give this drug to elderly demintia patients". Prior to his admittance I had toured twice, the staff was convincing, the place looked well planned... What my husband experienced was total neglect.

But as far as the main takeaways: *This place smells of urine, *There's not enough staff to give the care needed *They'll raise your rent without warning, *And the elevator (that's been an issue for 2-years) is still not fixed (which is why they're going up on the rent) *** The premises frequently smells of urine and other odors. The restroom by the dining area is terribly unkempt - regularly having feces in the toilet, urine on the floor, and what appears to be mold on the ceiling. And as mentioned earlier, the elevator frequently has issues. Hopefully you don't get stuck on a different floor and are forced to use the stairs. And that's not taking into account the care being provided. The staff is regularly unavailable, and it is very difficult to get in contact with the administrator. She appears to be really busy, because she always seems to be taking vacations. The nurses say they call, but there's never any answers or responses. There are 4-5 staff members overseeing over 100 residence. Do the math and tell me why you think families complain that it can take an hour for somebody's call lights to be answered. All this for what you're paying. Speaking of, they'll frequently raise your rent with little forewarning. And these increases don't seem to have credible reasons for their rise. Definitely not for the environment and care they promised. Again, for what they're asking for, this is not worth the rent (not even mentioning the rent increases). Just take it from me, you don't want your mother here.
