On December 23rd, my fiancé brought a cast-iron pot to the counter because it had no tag and simply asked about the price. The employee working that day accused him of removing the tag himself, claimed he had done this before, and said he had been a problem in the past. This was completely false. When my fiancé calmly tried to explain that there must be some confusion, he was asked to leave. Being accused of dishonesty without evidence was upsetting and unacceptable, especially after being loyal customers who supported the store with both purchases and donations. Businesses should value their customers and treat them with basic respect and fairness. Because of this experience, we no longer feel comfortable shopping here, which is a huge bummer. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses how customers are treated. (I never leave reviews)

Deseret is great go to for basics. Need some new jeans, a blazer, mens shirt, etc? I always check here first because they have a large array of things & sizes. My guy is tall, so we have a harder time. I also always check for blankets & fabric, as well as office supplies. Yep, for my home office. The outside area is an adventure, you never know what you will find. A few weeks ago I came for shorts and found a painting! I used to find great clothes, but sadly Deseret is getting so much "plastic" donations. Shein is taking over. I sew, so I would always find some great pieces to alter to my size & liking. The mens section is still good, but the womens is thin. Parking is always easy. The store is very clean, and Managers are very approachable for questions & pricing (the ladies, the men always seem stressed out and not so approachable. Just my opinion). They've been cutting back over the years, so now there are no changing rooms, you have to ring items up yourself, no pleasant employee interactions, high prices, and less clothes. Boo! At these prices, you want to try on the clothes you're going to purchase, but you have to do it in the central aisle (where the mirrors are) with people squeezing by. Really unpleasant all around. I told him that I needed to go and check out their collection for myself! I am so happy we did - Magnolia Antiques and Home Interiors is massive! I actually couldn't remember where one of the items I wanted was located at one point. They had a huge collection of Uranium glass all over the building! I did multiple loops checking out everything before finally settling on a plate and a set of salt and pepper shakers! Pricing on most items were fair! I honestly wanted to buy everything I saw.
