Super sad because I love this store, been coming here for a long time. All the young men have always been super sweet and honest. Except for today and it hurts my heart that greed somehow gets the better of most people. I was over charged for 2 of my items and when I asked about it ( he knowingly thought he would pull one over on me ) he tried to tell me I was wrong, in the end I was charged the correct price. Pro: nice staff, somewhat organized. Con: selection sort of small, most items somewhat expensive for thrift. Did find some items i liked though: - homedics shiatsu massager, originally priced $38, yellow tag 75% off = $8.75. - guillotine paper cutter- $15. Not super cheap, but seemed sharp, good condition, and I needed one - art/ paintings- they were all 50% so I got 3- $10, $10, $3. - scrubs- seemed brand new. $3 for a top & $3 for matching bottoms. Most were priced $3-4 which is usually less than Goodwill ($5-6) Would possibly check it out again in the future. Proceeds benefit Christian missionaries. This might be a pro for some of you. read more

There's a lot of oldies to sift through, so patience is required. But every time my aunt asks "want to go to the Russian thrift store?," I get excited!! Today, I found a silky soft oversized white button down for a French chic work look, and a GINORMOUS vanilla pillar candle for my excessive baths. Score! read more

There's nothing like perusing a great little thrift shop to lift my spirits...... Feeling a tad overwhelmed and beaten up by the poop filled pot holes life throws ones way, today I was making my way back home after dropping a package off at a new found close to home post office in North Highlands when I caught this little shop out of the corner of my eye and just had to swing by and check it out. Divine intervention as I had a mental picture of a book that I hoped may be in a shop like this but what I scored was $21 bucks worth of awesomely like new pieces of clothing from 6 foot long uber soft, warm and plush knitted super soft furry scarves x2, shirts, two pairs of pants & one an adorable pair of camo hip huggin low riding just below the knee capris, a fantastic pair of black corduroy perfectly aged, fit like a glove boot cut plenty long for my long legs corduroy stretch jeans and a button up sweater amongst other treasures including an amazingly sexy long sleeved dress shirt for my man and a lambs wool cashmere blend man scarf for him for .99 cents and like new.... Oh! And that book too at .49 cents.... Icing on the cake..... All of a sudden all the worries and preoccupied thoughts of life melted away as I silently and peacefully shopped...... Changing rooms; they have 3 or 4 immaculately clean, roomy and with doors even and realistic floor length mirrors. Mirrors you say? Why yes actually as any woman of any size will tell you that when deciding whether or not to enter a changing room one thinks long and hard on it as if the mirrors are warped or crappy they make you look anywhere from 5-20 pounds larger than you really are. Circus mirrors I call them but not at this shop the mirrors are normal. Score! The ol bod looked the same in it as it always does good form...... And! The entire store is not smelly! Unlike unfortunately what often times comes along with Thrift Store shopping escapades this one; well it's normal and just smells like normal un~smelly air..... The family owned business it turns out is a quite friendly Russian family as I heard them speaking in their native tongue as well as English and just had to ask! So friendly and so helpful.. For the holidays between December 23th thru the 26th I believe it is they are offering 20% off their items..... They don't have an overly large selection of everything you'd expect to find in a thrift shop but what they did have was quality items, clean and very affordably priced....... I'm happy............Clean place, clean shop owners, a few down trodden shoppers and one bruised but not busted shopping chic now made blissfully happy made for an amazing visit to this little shop....... read more

One CL seller - affiliated with Pacific Thrift Store? - had me drive to a location, then DURING THAT DRIVE redirect me to another location, then when I finally got to a Pacific Thrift Store in north Highlands, they didn't know what I was talking about. Love this place! Always end up leaving with bags full of clothes and trinkets. Employees are very nice and the prices are awesome.

We live within walking distance, so my 11 yr old LOVES taking a few dollars to see what he can find. Sometimes he comes home with odd things, like a computer screen which I told him to take back (I was pleasantly surprised that they allowed him too). He is just starting to practice going out on his own, so I really appreciate having a friendly place that is trust worthy! read more

I just moved here and I thought I would check this place out, to start the staff is unbelievably rude and mean, I was sexually harassed in this store and when i told the staff the just kinda laughed and brushed it off and did absolutely nothing. Bed bugs! I do NOT recommend spending money here. I got a blanket I purchased out to my car and went to put it in the trunk, and it was then that I noticed the bed bugs. I walked straight back in and told them I wanted my money back and why, and they said they don't offer returns. I ended up leaving the blanket on the counter and leaving in hopes that none of them came off in my car or on my shirt when I was taking my items outside. I'll NEVER come back to this store. read more

Pacific Thrift Store has a wonderful mission and proceeds go towards great causes! I love the selection of everything they have from clothing to furniture. Its always neat and tidy. Scheduled a donation pick up with Pacific Thrift Store yesterday 12/18 and spoke with Natalie. She confirmed they could pick up between 10:30 and noon today 12/19. At 3 pm when they hadn't shown, I called and Natalie told me "your paperwork was lost". I asked if there was anything they could do since I had all these nice things sitting out of my front porch and it looks like it is getting ready to rain here in Sacramento. I am maybe a 10 minute drive from this business to my house. She told me no, nothing they could do, they are just too busy. If I could I would give this Review Zero Stars but of course that is not an option. So BEWARE if you schedule a pick up with Pacific Thrift Store!! read more

I just went here for the first time and all the clothes were half off and they had a big selection. The prices already seem pretty reasonable in general for stuff and the clerk was very nice to me and respectful. When I walked it an older gentleman was playing the organ and singing in Russian I think and it was very cute!!! I really like this place- check it out! read more

I don't shop at thrift stores often, but this one is the best one I've been in by far. Everything is organized and the store doesn't have a old, dusty smell like most thrift stores do. The prices are great and they have 20%,30%, and 50% off deals during the holidays. The quality of the items is great. The best part is that all of the profits are used to support missionaries overseas. If you'd like to contribute your money towards a good cause while getting some great deals...I'd recommend you to check this place out. read more

How many thrift stores do you know whose profit goes towards supporting missionaries abroad? Also, the fact that many of the staff are actually volunteers creates a very welcoming vibe. It was okay, before going I went for a field study day for my school, and I had called about 3 days before going to ask if I could volunteer, and they said yes. So the day I went to volunteer I went to the front desk and a lady noticed e and told another lady to assist me. I told her I came to volunteer, And she looked annoyed and said they never got a call or that they were even told about it. I told her I did call and they got even more annoyed and told me where were my things. during the whole convo she had a loud annoyed/mad tone. so I went back home for my papers. When I got back she told me I could only do it for 4 hours and I was okay with it since that's the amount I needed. After a hour in they told me I could only work for about 1 more hour. I was disappointed on how they didn't tell me sooner before I started to work and how she talked to me earlier. Beside the staff, the place was pretty much in order although they could have also cleaned up the floor. read more

Before I tell you about my really awful and rude experience let me say they do have good clothes and furniture for very reasonable prices--but because of my experience with staff I will never go there again. Here is what happened. I am from Portland OR and visiting family in the area. I went with my to this store. Fitting rooms were not apparent so we began to try on clothes waaaaaay in the back. There was only one other customer so we weren't keeping anyon efrom shopping--nor were we stripping down to our skivvies. We were simply trying on a skirt and dress bover our clothes. In order to see if a dress fit. I removed a jacket and sweater. A woman came back to supposedly to hang up clothes--but it was obvious she thought we were stealing. That's fine--I can understand merchants have things stolen that's not what bothered me. After I'd taken off the dress I went to put back on my sweater and jacket--they were gone. My mom said maybe the lady thought they were the stores and hung it up. I asked her about my belongings (keep in mind there are two people trying on clothes exactly where the clothes were--she was there WATCHING us--I had stepped away to look in a mirror and in that tiny moment my clothes disappeared. The lady said "oh were those your clothes? I threw them out" I said "WHAT? WHERE?" She said "up front by the door in the garbage can" I said "You KNEW those were my clothes why did you do that?" No response. She just went back to hanging clothes. I went up front and sure enough my clothes were in a stinky gross can. These were NOT the clothes of a bum. Sparkly bejeweled sweater and new black day jacket. When I related my experience to two other workers the only thing they said was "you should have used the fitting rooms" If this was the issue and the reason this horrible woman threw out my clothes they could have asked us to go to the fitting room. Had we seen a dressing room we would have used it. This was a very purposeful action. Had I "accidently"thrown out a "customers" clothes I would have been all apologies--I would have gone and retrived the clothes and apologized profusely. This woman just nonchalantly said "oh--I threw them out" and went back to hanging clothes!!!!!!! read more
