Such a cute, busy little store!! I literally spent about 20 minutes in the store, trying to look at all their little figurines and quaint little apparel!! There's a number of things here that you could almost find for anyone! Perfect little trinkets store with literally some thing for everyone with a favorite of different figurines. I found my mom's favorite local lotion that's made out of beeswax or something like that. Actually forgot to take a picture, but I bought some! Along with a cute little travel bag. There are also a number of little lucky pocket charms that I found for my friends daughter, and they have cute little cards that go along with it and they come in a little jewelry bag when you buy it. Both ladies that were behind the counter were very helpful And polite. Things were normally priced and there were a number of holiday/winter items that were 60% off since it's January! I didn't see anything I liked but there were a number of ornaments as well as holiday, napkins, paper, napkins, but very cute! I will definitely go back again if I need other little trinket Items or even jewelry. read more

Who says it can't be Christmas all year long? With Marisa's Fantasia, you get a two-for-one. It's two separate locations next door to each other. One is year round Christmas and the other rotates home decor seasonally. Both are fun to browse and even pick up an ornament or two. The staff is very helpful and will get items down from a higher shelf if you want a closer look. Lots to browse in both shops. If you're in a funk, looking at their year round Christmas shop will lift your spirits. This year is the first time I purchased an ornament since I have a full size tree up (have not had one in many years) and they carefully wrapped and bagged my purchase. I've been going to this Christmas store since I was a little girl. We moved to CA in 82 and this quickly became a family tradition. Part of Christmas is getting hot cocoa from Starbucks on the corner and leisurely shipping for new ornaments and sometimes grabbing pizza from old Chicago upstairs. I can't recommend this place enough. read more

A whole lot of Christmas in such a small space. A lot of high priced items. They usually decorate a few themed trees and have some ornaments around downstairs and then they have a lot of single ornaments upstairs and in genre's. Some that do not really seem very Christmas-y. The space gets to feel pretty crowded especially around the Christmas Season. Located downtown Petaluma so parking can sometimes be a little tricky to find. But be sure to hit a few stores to make the stop worth it. read more

Charming gift boutique. Reminded me of the types of shops that abound in Solvang, Carmel, or other major tourist towns. Downtown Petaluma did have a number of unique shops, and this one was one of the most visually appealing. So many different themed areas to wander through; all beautifully displayed. I enjoyed walking around this cute shop. There are so many random and cute things that you can't stop looking. They had everything from kitchen goods, decorations of random cuteness and great unique gift ideas. Some items are pricey, but it will not let you down. The customer service was excellent. Great place to visit for the holidays. As you walk in there's Christmas trees and stockings and natively scenes from floor to ceiling. There's a train and mini village. There is so much to see. Every ornament you can think of and some you never have thought of are all hanging on display trees or along the walls. It's a very magical place during the holiday season. The only down side was the prices they were very high and no sales. However everything In there seemed to be of great quality so I guess you get what you pay for. I haven't yet gone on Halloween but I hear they have a great Halloween display as well. read more

This place is very cute ad had amazing things! Today they were having a saw on their Easter items. They also have a Halloween and Christmas section year round, which is cool, especially for people like me who shop year round for holiday goods! The Christas store next door is also there's and is open only on the weekends during the off-season. What I really liked about the pace is the collection of items - country, classic, magical, oceanic. There's something here for everyone. I could stay here and look at all the little intrinsic objects for hours. I bought an elephant candle dish, which I plan to use for my rings. I was talking to the lady and some of the items come from European countries that they picked up, which is nice. I would definitely recommend checking out this place if you're nearby! read more

Normally I love this place and tell all my friends and family about it. However, I'm very disappointed because I raced here after work to pick up a birthday gift and arrived at 5:35p and the lady told me they were closed. Even though on Google it says they close at 6pm and Yelp says 7pm. Real nice.(NOT!) No wonder small spots go out of business and everyone goes to places like Target for their gifts. read more

I usually don't post reviews but saw a negative one below that was really harsh and out of context in comparison to my experiences at this magical store. It is a little chaotic during the holidays but the staff here are fantastic and are eager to be of service! A blonde lady noticed that I was looking a little overwhelmed by the selection and offered me help to pick out a special ornament for a work gift exchange. They have a beautiful selection of furry animal ornaments! I hope everyone from all walks of life will give this store a chance to get into the holiday spirit! read more

I had such a pleasant experience here that I felt the need to post a glowing yelp review! My sister and I came to Petaluma to go to the Christmas Fantasia store across the way from this store. Found out it was closed that day. We were very disappointed because this is a must see store any time of year! We were greeted by two of the nicest ladies! I mentioned that I was looking for a specific Old World Christmas ornament that came out this year. She went to the Christmas store across the way and tried to find it for me, thinking maybe it was on one of the decorated trees. She couldn't find it so she proceeded to stop what she was doing and spend the time it took to locate it in a box in the back room! After a bit, out she came with the precious box!! What excellent customer service she offered!!! This store also has some really beautiful and unusual items , it is worth a stop when you are in beautiful downtown Petaluma! read more

Yes the place is beautiful, but if you have children or are brown like we are don't go here. I went with my children after dinner to choose an ornament which is our tradition right away we were followed by a staff member she was nice and seem to just be following orders we went through the whole store and she just let us be. My daughter had chosen her ornament, but we went back down to look at everything again to make sure it was the right one. Then who I believe to be the owner started following me and my daughter I was sure to stay close to her so she would not break anything. The lady started making comments saying that she didn't want my daughter to break anything. I told her that I was watching her and that if she broke anything I would pay for it, my daughter was been careful I was not worried at all. The lady again said the same thing and I repeated that I was watching her and that if she broke anything I would be happy to pay for it, at this point I was irritated and told the lady that I had money to pay for it. She smirked and I told her unless you don't think I have any. She then said I just don't want her to hurt herself , I again said that's why I'm watching her closely. She turned around towards the register, I didn't want to buy anything here anymore I took my daughter's ornament and gave it to the lady and told her we were leaving as I didn't want to buy from her anymore. She said "yes that would be better". the way she looked at us was really demeaning we were customers, I didn't see her do that to anyone else in the store. I'm really disappointed as I prefer to buy from small businesses even though the prices are higher. She obviously didn't want our business. She should post a sign in the store saying no browns allowed. read more

Love this place....Jacquelyn is awesome...always find cool stuff and for the more pricey stuff they have layaway (20% down, monthly payments)....big negative is they have NO AIR CONDITIONING during the hot summer months...inside gets way to hot and is not pleasant. I avoid going there during warm spells. It's a store where one needs to browse...to touch...to feel..to buy spontaneously and when the owners don't provide the proper atmosphere for that I lose interest and will take my business elsewhere...It's too bad that the owners don't get it...bad business....anyway, I do go there in the cooler months and always find something for our house or for Xmas gifts..Recommend the place (just not in the summer). read more

I visited this store on Saturday, October 22nd. I purchased several Halloween items. The sales associate was having difficulty with the register and mistakenly charged me several incorrect totals, one of which was over $25,000! My purchase was under $100. I was concerned that these false charges would hit my bank account but she assured me they would not. She did not even know what it was that she was doing incorrectly that was making the register come up with these false totals. When I got home, there was a message from the fraud division of my bank asking me to call them about some potentially fraudulent charges. Because it was the weekend and the system was fully automated, I could not speak to anyone, I could only use the automated response keys. When I declined the incorrect charge of over $25,000, the system put an automatic block on my debit card as it assumed someone had stolen my identity and was attempting to make fraudulent charges. At that point, there was nothing I could do. I was unable to use my debit card for the remainder of the weekend, which was a big hassle. I had to take Monday morning off work (unpaid) so I could get to the bank to get a new debit card. I had to contact all the accounts that I had set to pull funds from that card electronically on a regular basis. This was very upsetting to me as it cost me a lot of time, effort and grief. I contacted the store because I felt the sales associate needed more training on the register because I did not want to have this happen to anyone else. I wasn't upset with the sales associate, I just wanted the manager to know what happened and that she perhaps needed additional training because she did not know how these errors happened. The first time I called, I was told the manager, Paul, was with a customer. I left my name and number and asked that he return my call. He did not return my call, so I called again later that day. I was then told he was "in a meeting". Again, I left my name and number, told the person I was talking to that I needed to speak to him regarding an issue I had in the store over the weekend and asked that he please return my call. She asked what the issue was, and I told her. That was two days ago and he has not called. Obviously, he is ignoring me and has no intention of calling me back. I feel this is very unprofessional. A store that cares about it's customers should be returning a call. Furthermore, a store that cares about it's employees should want to ensure that they have proper and adequate training on the equipment they must use to do their job. Therefore, I can not recommend this store. I will not be giving them my business going forward because I feel the manager is very unprofessional and the store does not care about it's customers or any problems customers have that were caused by the store. read more
