Ahhhh this place was so fun! Even just for a great day of playing dress up! They seriously have anything you can think of, new and old. The lady at checkout was absolutely rude to me! She told me to bring my clothes out from the fitting room so she could count them! I told her they were all hung up and ready to go back. I've never had anybody talk to me like that and I wish I had never stepped foot in there! Avoid this place! After reading the other reviews, it looks like this is a badly run operation. Many people have had bad experiences with them! To be fair, it was only the woman running the register that people seem to have a problem with! Perhaps another job position would suit her attitude better!! by the way, there are other great thrift stores in the area! read more

This is a pretty vast vintage/resale clothing shop in downtown Petaluma. They're not "thrift store" prices but instead a place to find unique items that are one of a kind, Part of the fun is the hunt and I enjoy seeing what's on offer. It can be a little overwhelming, as many racks are a bit crowded and the aisles narrow. It's cool, funky little local shop, though, that I always enjoy stopping at, when in Petaluma. read more

I have had two experiences with this store. In December I brought in large garbage bags of clothing to sell. I was advised to leave the clothing with my name and number and the owner would contact me. A month went by and I did not recover a call. I called and was advised that they would get back to me. I eventually went in to the store in June and was given a check for about $30 which is fine but I have no idea what happened to the other clothes that they did not want. I went back today with two grocery bags and was told they would look through them while I looked around. When I came back up to the register they had picked two items from my two bags. A DKNY purse and a pair of basically new Levi's. They offered me $10. I did not accept because they were worth more. I was handed back my items in one of the grocery bags. I asked about the other bag which was not in sight hiding behind the counter. Not sure what the intentions were. To keep my bag and hope I didn't remember bringing in two bags? It felt super shady. I will not go back here to shop or to sell as do not trust them. read more

Scam. Constantly charging retail price for things that will fall apart after one use. They keep the lights low so you can't see how bad their products are. Don't come here, so disappointing. Try alphabet soup or sacks hospice down the street instead. read more

This is the coolest store. I mean there are tons of "coolest stores" and Petaluma has a ton, but this is a must peruse store. Give yourself time and go slow, there are some real gems if you're a good thrifter. They are a consignment type store, but the prices are still very reasonable. This review is of their customer service and the attitude my daughter received. On Sunday the morning of April 23rd. They didn't open on time and my daughter and I waited till 11 am and it didn't seem like they were opening. Went to another store and about 11:12am there was a lady in there. Lights were partially on so my daughter politely asked if they were open and the grumpy woman behind the counter said "uhh ya that's what I'm doing" with that attitude we left. I'm new to Yelp but wanted to share an unpleasant experience I had here within the last year or two. I have been to this store several times before this happened and really liked it, even purchasing a few pairs of pants. I am no longer going to shop here due to this experience. I was followed around by a woman working there and accused of stealing, which I denied but she demanded to see inside of my bag or else she would call the police. I showed her the inside of my bag with nothing taken from the store, and immediately left, very shaken and upset. I am a visibly nonwhite person and I hope sharing this will help inform other people of color who are interested in checking out this store. Racial profiling is not a good look. read more

They've always got some pretty fantastic stuff. I bought some velvet pants that I love; I wear them all the time now. They also have gemstones (I don't really know anything about them and I'm not convinced they do anything, but I bought some anyway because they're pretty and I could use some good energy) and incense, as well as some pretty great stickers and a few other miscellaneous items. Sooooo many denim pants. I do wish they had more non-denim pants, but they get new clothes pretty regularly so there's always next time. All of the employees that I have encountered have been really friendly (three different employees). read more

Very cool new gallery downtown! The Opera House is unique, with an eclectic mix of items. It is unlike any of the other galleries in downtown and as their website states the have "handmade treasures, local art, and antiques." They have jewelry, antiques, art, and a cool mix of fun and interesting stuff like you might find at a Heebee Jeebee's type store for adults. The jewelry is handmade by local artists (including the owners.) Towards the back they have a very cool display of Steampunk looking apparatuses. Some of the more interesting things I saw were a wide selection of drinking glasses made from soda/beer bottles and journals created by using the covers of old books. read more

It saddens me to say that after being born and raised in Petaluma. Never having to experience this before. I was shopping with my 12 year old daughter at this store. Only to be racially profiled and followed throughout the store. The lady was a blonde older woman. I'm not sure if she was the owner but she seemed to care a lot about us as soon as we walked in. I asked to see a jacket and asked the size and she answered me by saying well it's vintage and sizes vary? She then continued to follow us around. Once my daughter was ready to try clothes on she counted her items took her purse which was a small bag pack. Then repeated the amount of items, over and over. After my daughter came out apparently she had put some items back. She came and confronted us asking where the items were. The whole experience was gross and I felt so bad for my daughter to of had to experience that type of person. I know I'll be telling everyone I know about my experience here. I am also a local business owner and I would never tolerate an employee or anyone working for me to act this way with customers. read more

So I have been wondering if my experiences here were isolated instances/off days for the business, but after reading some of the other reviews, I can see that that is definitely not the case. I don't even need to go into the gory details, I'll just echo what so many other reviewers have said, although this is a fantastic store with a ton of great stuff in it, the employees are sincerely lacking in any type of Basic human awareness/interaction skills at best and incredibly, distastefully, rude at worst. The older, blonde woman is one of the worst employees I've ever encountered, makes you feel like she is expecting you to steal any moment, blatantly rude when she speaks to you, and must have taken a seminar in how to drive potential customers away from a business, because she sure excels at that. There is no excuse to treat paying customers like they are thieves, hard stop. If the owner reads any of these, I would, sincerely Urge them to consider what I and so many other people have said and think about getting staff that will actually make people want to come and spend money in your store read more

Amazing energy. The sweet brunette, red head and black haired service clerks were so helpful today. When asking about the crystals they provided so much helpful information. They picked me the perfect outfit for my sound bath event and even got a rose quartz crystal to help with my love life and self love! 10 out of 10 would recommend! read more

This store is great and my friends and I constantly come to shop and support here. Today, my friends and I did NOT have a good shopping experience. The blonde woman working was not friendly at all, coming up to the dressing room curtain making me feel quite uncomfortable after she asked me to hurry up when I hadn't been in there for long, and waiting on the other side of the curtain for me. She asked me to hand the clothes my friends and I didn't want to buy, In an unfriendly manner. Later on, I had put my clothes down on a bench for a moment to look through what I would buy, waiting around for my friends...the woman approached me continually, about three times asking if she could take clothes I didn't want to buy, again in a very unfriendly manner. When I paid at the register the woman demanded to look in my bag I had on, saying that she'd found 5 empty hangers, which were from other people that had previously been in the dressing room (I understand the need to check customers bags b/c of that). There was nothing in bag, I would never steal. She didn't say anything after, and I honestly just felt super uncomfortable the whole time I was in the store. I'm really bummed out because this is one of my favorite stores but I'm not happy with the unfriendly manner this woman had towards me and my friends. read more

This is unlike any other store. The young owners have created a playful, theatrical, artistic environment filled with crafts and artworks made by their friends. Everything is beautiful and celebratory. It is great fun to wander through the store, and the owner I met was modest and charming. read more
