More like 3.5 but will round up for pricing. A small store front, cute with maybe 15 small tables for seating. The service is good and helpful recommending plates on then menu. I wish they told us off the bat that they don't serve free water, just bottled. The menu is pretty expensive. The fish taco is very good, flavorful and nicely textured. The fish is well battered and crispy. The sauce and cabbage Is not overpowering and adds great texture. The carne asada tacos are ok, meat is well flavored but too dry and overcooked. The shrimp ceviche tostada is huge but I wish it had more cilantro and avocado. The shrimp chunks still has gray colored to them which suggest the shrimp hasn't been cooked long enough. The beers are hot! The devil shrimp was not very spicy at all. It was an interesting way of making it. I've never seen anything like it. The chip and salsa game is horrible. Sorry guys I don't think I'll be coming back. The round chips are no good. Also you need to make real salsa with tomato onion, cilantro, and other ingredients. What you serve there is chili sauce. Decided to look for a positive Mariscos spot in El monte here after my vehicle was done being serviced at Longo Toyota. Came in on a Friday evening while it wasn't packed and ordered two items (small Campechana & 1 Fish taco) which both were really good. The fish taco was freshly fried with great sauces added not needing more. Do wish the tortilla chips were house made to pair well with the spicy salsa roja. Will come back for sure. Make sure to bring cash as a tip since after swiping the card reader it doesn't allow to add more FYI. read more

Decided to give this place a try since Yelp said it was ok but was highly disappointed. The staff are really young and are clueless when it comes to customer service. When I walked in with my party (3 total) there wasn't a place to sit, not because it was busy but because they hadn't cleaned the tables after other people left. One of the employees kids was sleeping in the only clean booth. The place is kinda dingy but I usually don't mind as long as the food is good. It wasn't. I got a fish taco and a shrimp tostada and immediately wished I would have made it at home. The ceviche was still raw and purple, you could barely taste any lemon. Tasted like bottled lemon juice. Even with the shrimp not being cooked in the lemon I still don't mind (love sushi) however the shrimp was so mushy you could tell it wasn't fresh. Needless to say I was unimpressed. Hopefully the business sees this as constructive criticism and can work on their shortcomings. As it stands I will not be coming back. I asked the other two people in my party if they would come back and they both agreed this would be a one and done thing. Oh also, they don't give you free water you have to buy bottles. Went here on a Friday night for dinner. Very small restaurant but super busy when we went. They had karaoke that night that I thought was toooooooo loud. The service is slow but you could tell it was all family ran and they were super busy so it's understandable. We got the aguachiles and mojarra frita. All the servers are young teens which I don't mind but when it came to the food beware the fish And seafood is not fresh I had a stomach flu and had to go to the hospital. Yes eating raw foods does have its risks but if prepared fresh and clean they are consumable. Clearly not in this restaurant. I ordered a shrimp ceviche (came with three pieces of tostada) and the shrimp a la diabla plate (came with corn tortillas and fresh lime wedges). The shrimps are huge and they gave a very generous portion. It can easily feed two people. There was even more shrimp under the rice! The ceviche tasted really refreshing with the cucumbers. All of the flavors are really good and works well together. The store make the food after the order so the wait time can take a while. Today on Father's Day out all days, I came by myself to have a shrimp cocktail. The waitress asked if I wanted avocado, I said no, another waitress brought me my cocktail, she just left it on the table and walked away. I was enjoying my cocktail, it was very salty, I had to keep adding ketchup. I was there about 40 minutes to one hour or so. Not once did the waitress asked me if everything was fine or if I wanted miter water. The waitress keeper passing by my table we made eye contact a few time but they were like dirty looks.
