Came here mid week and tried a number of things. Overall I would rate this place a 8/10. Nachos (9/10 recommend): some of my fav nachos I've ever had. I liked that the put lettuce and cotija cheese. I ordered carne asada to put on top and it was decent. Shrimp ceviche (7/10): not enough of the tostada for the ratio of chip/ceviche. I appreciated the fresh avocado on top. Tacos: - carne asada 6/10 - adobada/pastor 4/10 - carnitas 10/10! The tortillas were fried perfectly and the taste of the carnitas was a great salty fatty flavor. Been supporting this place since I was at Arroyo. This used to have some cheap eats enough to feed hungry high schoolers, but inflation happened. I still came back though. Some standouts here are their fish and shrimp tacos! I've had their asada burrito in the past, and it was also pretty good. Everything was pretty flavorful and their salsas are great. I have been here a couple of times for take out since it's close to where I live. It's pretty decent. I've usually ordered through the phone or ordered online which makes it easy. It's been pretty convenient especially since I don't usually wait long to pick up. I've had their California burrito which was filled with carne asada, cheese and more. Burrito was pretty good here. I've also tried their carne asada tacos, fish tacos, and al pastor. Tacos aren't too bad also. Cost wise is a bit more on their non deal days being Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I love that this location offers active duty and veteran discounts. The staff here is very helpful and friendly greeting you with a smile. There is plenty of indoor seating and parking can be hit or miss because it is located in a shopping center with other businesses and chase bank. Best fish and shrimp tacos. I ordered the street tacos taco Tuesday special for $1.50 each (except the fish taco that one was regular price). 2.5 Asada taco: had very little meat and had very little seasoning, if it wasn't for the tortilla being really good I would have rated it lower. 3.8 Al Pastor taco: pretty flavorful and well seasoned. It's not off a trompo but still i recommend this one. Tortilla is amazing and definitely complimented the meat. 1.9 Chicken Taco: my least favorite, it was bland and not well seasoned. Tasted like chicken if you know what I mean. Tortilla again was amazing. 2.9 Fish taco: it was good not great, very crunchy batter and the tortilla was a bit on the harder side. If they used the tortilla style they use in the street tacos then it would be much more tastier. Will I come back? Sure for some pastor tacos and to taste the chile relleno burrito. Ps. I came on a tuesday afternoon for their taco tuesday special. Instead of their regular 3.79 cost, each taco becomes 2.50. I ordered a carnitas taco and pastor taco with no cheese. The food arrived within 5 minutes or ordering. I chose mild green salsa as my extra condiment but they do have red salsa for those who like it hotter. Both tacos were extremely delicious. The carnitas melted in my mouth and was full of juicy flavor. The pastor had a smokier taste with a nice tenderness to the meat. The addition of lemon and green salsa brought out stronger flavors from the meat and onions. Overall, another great taco place. I did like the small touch of pepper that they added too. Use to be a 5 star establishment. Been going here for years ..After the pandemic no more salsa station and serve serve condiments. ( the highlight was the salted roasted chilli ) now they charge you for extra salsa no cucumbers no limes out. . Reminds me of stingy king taco. Came back after a year or so and was surprised of their stingy new business model. I've sent more then a few people here before and now I regret it.. All tacos are pretty much the same prices now even cheap to make patotos tacos cost the same as a meat option ..super weird. . Taco flavor is 7/10. It with out my extra green sauce it's a 5/10....
