I found this place on Yelp, and the food looked really good, so I decided to give it a try. When I checked the payment options online, it clearly stated they accept debit and credit cards. However, when I got there, the parking was terrible, and as I approached to order, I noticed a sign on the window that said "Cash only." I was like, what the hell? I double-checked online, and it still showed that they accept credit cards. This is totally misleading and frustrating. They need to fix that and update their Yelp information because it's not cool to mislead customers like that. Honestly, who carries cash these days? I know places like this only take cash for tax purposes--trust me, I'm a CPA.

Mom and pop shop. Cash only! Their menu is large and extensive, including cheeseburger combos and fries/nachos with your choice of meat. My current go to is their lengua burrito and champurrado. :) Their portions are huge and fits the price range.

This place is IT! My family and I constantly come back here for their wet burritos and their campechana! The service is excellent, I think it might be a family running it but each worker has been kind every single time we have visited. The food is great, friendly service, and prices are pretty reasonable considering it's more of a home cooked meal than it is fast food. Only fault is that it's cash only so make sure you bring money when you visit.

Honestly, I love this place! I have been coming to this tiny little spot for years because it is so authentic! They recently changed owners, but the food is still really good, if not, even better! This place isn't really well known because of the location. It is literally in a residential area on Cogswell & Exline in El Monte, CA. What I love about this place is their tacos! I love their tripas, chorizo, fish tacos. Fish tacos on Monday & Wednesday are buy 1 get 1 free! Besides the tacos, they also have really good menudo, so I definitely have to try that out! If you're not trying to spend much money and just want to get a good taco fix, I would highly recommend getting the tacos here! CASH ONLY BTW!! :)

I meant to post this the day we were there…read more First off, this place was packed--as expected for a Sunday around brunch time. It's obviously a popular spot. The wait was long, but it was expected, and we weren't in any rush. The service was great, and the food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the chorizo con papas, which came with beans and handmade tortillas. Everything was amazing, and I can't wait to go back. Another reason for this post is to apologize and recognize the incredible staff. We ended up staying about an hour after closing because my friend and I hadn't seen each other in nearly two years. We got so caught up talking and reminiscing that we didn't even realize we were the only ones left in the restaurant. Not once did anyone ask us to leave or make us feel like we had overstayed our welcome. We know staying that long after closing is inconsiderate, and it was never our intention. We sincerely apologize for that. Thank you to the entire staff for your patience, kindness, and hospitality. We truly appreciate you giving us the time to catch up, and we'll definitely be back--for the amazing food and the exceptional service.

When I got my order, I realized I forgot to order coffee but Cesar hooked me up. The chilaquiles and tres leches pancakes were seriously good, even as takeout, and would no doubt be even better eaten on site. Absolutely worth the visit.

Lunch on Taco Tuesday in Temple City, Los Angeles, California…read more.. My friend, Rosemarie, highly recommended El Ruizeñor Grill because she had been there in the past for a Yelp event. She described the food, the prizes, and the fun - wow! Let's go! Parking on the street was easy. We arrived before the lunch crowd, so several tables were available. Afterwards, the place was packed in the colorfully decorated and festive atmosphere! Service was attentive, friendly, and helpful! The Taco Tuesday deal was great! We got pollo, papa, al pastor, and carnitas tacos for $1.56 each, and a carne asada taco for $2.56! Everything was tasty and beautiful! I also enjoyed a generous, refreshing horchata! Thanks, Rose for the fun foodie adventure! I appreciated the complementary crunchy chips and non-spicy salsa! Yum!

They have BOGO tacos for Taco Tuesday so I got the Asada Tacos ($2.88). The tacos had very generous portions of asada and topped with cilantro and onion bits. The asada was very tender and delicious! Really enjoyed the salsa provided on the side wasn't too spicy either! Got the "El Trio" ($21.84) and it consisted of a sampler of mole, red and green chilaquiles, with eggs, queso fresco, crema, onion, and cilantro. It came with two sides so I got beans and breakfast potatoes. The mole was so good! It was not too sweet, spicy, or salty but had a combo of all 3 flavors! Loved how it was rich and packed with flavor! Definitely one of the best mole I've had! The red and green chilaquiles were slightly spicy but still very yummy! Wished the chips weren't soggy and more crispy but not a big deal! The beans were good and the potatoes tasted a bit bland but that's ok! The Horchata Oaxaquena ($8.04) was so amazing! The Horchata tasted so fresh and delicious! There was bits of cantaloupe and walnuts, which made it very unique and made it even more tasty! Loved how refreshing and it wasn't too sweet. Definite must! Overall, I really enjoyed my food and would definitely recommend and return for a dine-in experience next time!
