    Mix Seafood Tray
    Tina V.

I always see this establishment popping up on my Yelp food search & I was curious to see how Cajun seafood would taste from a small neighborhood supermarket. On a whim I called for togo and got the mixed seafood tray and it was massive. It was more than enough for 3 people. You really get the bang for your bucks and it really does the job if you're craving seafood. It's a little salty in my opinion but my neighbor and fiancé enjoyed it.

Oh yes, you need to try this place. This hidden gem inside Tyler Market is worth the trip. I tried the shrimp fish n chips and it was definitely worth every penny! $16 and you get sooo much food that's shareable for two. Let me break down this fried deliciousness. Sauces- you might want to order extras because the tartar sauce is off the charts and the cocktail sauce is just as amazing. So which is better? I will let you decide because I absolutely love both. Fish- being fried it actually is not greasy at all and the fish is cooked to perfection. They are huge pieces and are sooo good. Flavor by itself is great, but the sauces take it to another level. Shrimps- big and juicy and cooked perfectly. Some places give you more breading than shrimp but not this place the breading to shrimp ratio is on point. The owner is such a sweetheart. He truly takes pride in cooking each item perfectly. He is detailed in his craft that he even cuts a hole out at the top of the container to release the steam so you don't end up with soggy shrimp or fish. This place is truly awesome and if you try it out I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. I look forward to trying the other menu items.

This place is located inside the small market. When you walk into the market, it's straight ahead and you'll see the big menus above. I ordered through UberEats and went there to pick up. I honestly wasn't expecting much because I've never heard of this place before or knew of its existence if it wasn't for UberEats. I ordered 2 lbs for shrimp and 2lbs of clams, with 2 corns. The older asian gentleman in the front was very polite and friendly. He even gave me more corn for free. All the seafood tasted fresh and the mild sauce was indeed mild. The sauce wasn't too salty and had a good amount of garlic. The shrimp was a bit smaller than I hoped, so that was the only thing I would complain about. I loved that they packed all the limes, salt/pepper containers, and hot sauce. They were generous with the limes. They even included plates and utensils-- had everything we needed. I really appreciate that! I definitely will be coming back here to support this small business as oppose to going to Boiling Crab. Shoutout to the gentleman for his wonderful customer service!

Fish (4) Shrimp (8) & chips. Very tasty. Crunch held up to the ride from the store to our dinner destination. Also had a side of corn on the cob. Possibly previously frozen, but was also quite good. We will come again. Oh this is located inside a small market. Very nice and friendly gentlemen that attended to us.

I was craving Cajun Seafood the other day, so my wonderful bf bought us a whole tray. Can't believe this whole thing only costs like almost $60. I thought that was such a great deal for this whole variety. It made such a satisfying dinner and lunch for the next day. This hidden gem is called Cajun Shrimps Inn and it's located at Tyler Market in El Monte, CA, go check it out!

All of the reviews are from one year ago. We went yesterday and ordered take out, ordered a party tray of Cajun shrimps, it did not taste like Cajun shrimps at all. It's lack of butter, and garlic ( just a bit of garlic and it's minced not fresh ) instead they put some kind of herb or too much thyme we don't know what it is just doesn't take like Cajun shrimps. The service was excellent, serviced by two brothers, but I think the owners changed, it wasn't the same owners as it used to be. I'd pay more or drive to Stinkin crawfish or other Cajun shrimps places.

Was feeling ragin for cajun and this place is pretty local. Don't expect to eat there because this is located in Tyler grocery store and there isn't any tables. It took about 30 minutes to make once I ordered and it was total worth it. I got the seafood mix tray for $54 dollars and it literally comes with everything you'd want (shrimp, mussels, clams, sausages, corn, potatoes, fish cakes, and imitation crab), enough for 4-6. They don't skimp out on portions here but the best part is that the food tastes delicious. The sauce isn't overpowering but strong enough cajun flavor. We got spicy and it was just the right amount, not bad at all. Overall I'm totally going to come back here for cajun food. I would call ahead if you don't wanna wait though.

After trying Cajun Shrimps Inn, twice, through UberEats, I finally decided to stop being lazy and share my two cents. Both experiences were great. I've ordered the shrimp, clams, seafood tray, and fish and chips. I really enjoyed the flavor of their sauce, as it's flavorful, has a lot of garlic for some crunchy goodness, and isn't super greasy. I had the sauce in mild, which is not actually spicy, but happens to be perfect for my preference. (Ability to tolerate spice went downhill after entering my 30s. ) I love topping a bowl of jasmine rice with spoonfuls of their sauce. In addition to the delicious food, I appreciate how careful and thoughtful they are with the preparation and packaging of the food. My orders arrived piping hot each time, and I loved that they included plenty of all the essentials to accompany the meal ( i.e., lime, salt & pepper, cocktail sauce, plates, napkins, and gloves.) They also left me a handwritten "Thank you!" on both of my orders. I'm so glad I gave Cajun Shrimps Inn a chance after scrolling past them on UberEats since last year, and I look forward to supporting them and making my tummy happy again.

It's a small little spot located in a mini grocery mart. It is next to a laundry mat. Looks can be deceiving with the area don't write this place off because the meal was pretty tasty. I had ordered my food through gun hub to pick up and was ready a few minutes before. I ordered Spicy shrimp and Cajun fries with a side of corn. My kid loved the corn. Everything was hot and tasty. And the service was fine there no long line they ask the name and hand you the bag. Staff was wearing gloves and masks and there was hand sanitizer if needed.

Gave this place a try because of the reviews on Yelp and Facebook. All them reviews must have been from friends n family because the food was not good. Since this was my first time, I went and ordered at the counter so I know it was fresh. And I only live 10 minutes away. I ordered 1 lb of shrimp spicy and 1 lb of mussel very spicy and both tasted mild with barely an sauce to dip the seafood in. Also the seafood was way over cooked which made it taste rubbery. Like chewy on a condom. Fries were okay. I guess it was $50 donation to small business since we didn't finish the food. Extra star for owner reaching out!

Sooo Fresh!! Sooo tasty!! I will definitely go back!!

Soooo tasty!!!! The seafood here definitely tasted much fresher than Boiling Crab, maybe because they just opened but I really enjoyed it. I will definitely go back some more!

They are located in the same plaza as CVS, Tam's Noodle House and Dim Sum Box. There was sufficient amount of private parking for the plaza. When we first arrived, there was a lot of seats open. The staff was friendly and welcoming and said we can sit anywhere we would like. Phuong and Dat helped us the entire night and the service was fantastic. I recommend coming early because they did get busy and by the time we left every table was filled. The energy here is definitely upbeat and a great place to hang and catch up with friends. We had an incredible feast and would come back to reorder all of the dishes we tried this visit and more: Goi Xoai Muc ($15.99) - Mango salad with squid. Very light and refreshing. This is an unripe mango thinly cut and mixed in with traditional Vietnamese herbs. It also comes with some shrimp chips to funnel up this delicious salad. Oc Mong Tay Mo Hanh ($18.99) - Razor clams grilled with scallion oil. One of the least flavorful items by compare. Both my friend and I felt like the scallion oil was very light on these razor clams but enjoyed it with the sauces from other dishes. Oc Mo Bo Toi ($24.99) - Fat snails prepared garlic butter style. Delicious. These bigger snails makes them easier to pick them out with the skewers they serve this with. Ngheu Xao Bo Toi ($16.99) - Clams prepared garlic butter style. Yum. Juicier compared to the snails and absorbs the sauce well. The clam shell makes it easy to scoop up the sauce and drink it. Oc Len Xao Dua ($16.99) - Sea snails in a coconut milk sauce. One of my favorites but I know it's one of the more difficult ones to eat, cause you'll have to suck on it really hard to get the snail out. But the sauce is delicious and unique. So Diep Trung Cut ($15.99) - Scallops with quail eggs. Highly recommended by staff, They mentioned this was a popular dish. Very decadent. It was a smidge too much food for 2 people but when I asked my friend if she would remove anything, she mentioned it was all a good variety for the meal. Next time we'll need to come back with more friends to try more of their dishes.

We ordered the oc mong tay nuong mo hanh (razor clams), oc huong (babylon snails), so diep (grilled scallops), oc lau hap sa, hau (oysters), lau thai (hot pot), bo nuong than (grilled beef), nghieu hap (steamed clams), and two pitchers of the passion fruit soda (chanh day). I thought it would be enough for our party for 7 but portions were so small so I doubled each order. The razor clams were probably the most flavorful while the other seafood items fell flat and bland. I'm not sure if the chef didn't let it seep thoroughly in the sauce but it wasn't busy at 5 pm when we came in so there was not rush hour. My biggest gripe was that the hot pot came with the tiniest portions of vegetables. Prices are quite high and I've been to other places recently with a larger party so I was quite disappointed. The passion fruit soda did not taste freshly squeezed and seemed artificial which was also a major letdown.

The portions are actually quite massive for each dish. All of it was very solid and tasty Chinese food. We were definitely very stuffed after this lunch was over! Service here is solid enough for a Chinese place. They were pretty quick with getting us extra plates to change out our dirty plates and more bowls as needed. And they were quick with the water. But yeah, you do have to flag them down to get their attention. They do have a parking lot here, and we got here early enough on a Sunday where parking wasn't an issue. However, I can see it being a problem on busier days. Boston Lobster is definitely worth a visit if you want solid Chinese food at a fair affordable price. Really good!

It is considered…read moreto be one of the best destinations for fresh seafood, with the accent on Chinese cuisine. What has shunned me from this place, is the distance and the traffic, from the SFV. Finally, I made the journey. And arrived for lunch, on a weekday. To come here and not order their iconic Signature dish, the House Special Newport Style Lobster, would be a sin. Imagine a trip that was almost 40 miles and an hour of traffic (one way), with no reward. It was time to experience the real thing. The signature dish. Walking in solo, I was given a booth. I liked that. On seating, I ordered a beverage to quench my thirst, catch my bearings and breath. Almost immediately, the servers kept bugging me to order. The place was barely 1/4th occupied. Whats the hurry. After all this, I had to repeatedly tell them, that i had already spoken with a server, regarding my order. Just wanted to relax first, catch my breath, sip my beverage. Coming here, I was aware that their tank lobsters would be in the 4-6 pound range. Good for, and ordered by, at least 3-4 people. So when I, as a solo diner, ordered a 4-pound lobster (with no other choice), just for myself, they began to leave me alone and give me more respect. The cut up wok prepared, House Special Newport Style Lobster, arrives wonderfully presented, with heaps of leeks, scallions and jalapenos. My kind of recipe. Truly unique and exceptional. There is no sauce, and only a mild flavor, yet tasty. My biggest concern here was (after reading numerous internet reviews), that the lobster would be rubbery and dry. Not so for me. I lucked out. Problem here is, while there is lots of meat (a 4 pound lobster will yield at the most, about a pound of meat), they do not have, or provide, the essential lobster cutlery, to do justice to this beautiful crustacean. I did ask though. They did not seem to care and told me to use my fork. LOL. Steamed rice is complimentary. So is a soup, with sweet and sour, being the only choice (I did not like this). Either way, my plan was to take leftovers (there was a lot), home, where I possess high class lobster cracking tools. And thank heavens I did. They were most useful, to crack and dig into all the lobster meat, that would have been inaccessible at the restaurant. With additional TLC, the leftovers held up well, to provide several additional lobster meals. Need to go back to try their enticing and reasonably priced variety of lunch specials (more seafood, choices minus lobster). Another sought after box on my list, is now checked.
