I recently dined at El Puerto 2 and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing due to both the poor service and mediocre food. My party and I arrived around 6:30pm on a Friday when the restaurant was not busy. However, our waitress took an unusually long time to take our order, bring our drinks, serve our food, and eventually provide the check. Despite understanding that the restaurant got busier later in the evening, this did not justify the initial delays we faced. It was particularly frustrating as we noticed another table that arrived after us received their drinks and were then ignored by the waitress. They were so dissatisfied with the lack of service that they paid for their unfinished drinks and left. As for the food, I ordered a shrimp cocktail, which was the sweetest shrimp cocktail I have ever had at any restaurant. I had to put tons of hot sauce on it to counteract the sweetness.
