Cash only Or Zelle - that shouldn't stop you from coming to this Mariscos spot. Stopped in on a Tuesday and there were several bands waiting to Come in to perform. The food and service is great! Had the tostada and the whole fish. Everything is flavorful you won't be disappointed

Marvelous Mariscos Martin in La Puente. Loved the service, but brush up on your high school Spanish or research items on the menu before you go in, I had a wonderful server that was very patient in explaining the dishes, I loved every bit of my selection "Filete Sarandeando" absolutely a marvelous Mariscos Martin house specialty, i had an octopus appetizer listed under tostadas. It's located in a commercial district and every parking space was taken, we parked a couple of blocks down the street but it was beautiful day for a walk! There was a line out the door on Sunday at 3:00 pm!! There's a sign of good food! A waitlist is on the counter so sign your name as soon as you arrive, and it's a cash only restaurant, so come prepared because it's definitely worth the visit. It's a small brightly colored dining room with a hum of a successful business, from our seats we watched as servers prepped the lemons on the bar. I thought it was a wonderful value for the meal we enjoyed. My dish was perfectly seasoned, she did give me a small dish with some type of seasoning but it knocked my socks off:-) Our good friends told us about this restaurant, and they were absolutely right!

Hadnt been here in over 8 years but its still delicious. Had the camarones zarandeados and they were fire. The shrimp were huge and perfectly cooked. The chili oil they give you is spicy and compliments the shrimp really well. The beans were flavorful and the rice was great. Customer service was on point.

Our second time here, both times were FANTASTIC!!!!!! First off, the Micheladas con clamato are made with love. They are so delicious. We ordered a parrillada de mariscos and were warned it was huge lol and yes!!!! It was HUGE! It could feed 5 to 6 people easily, I feel like the picture on the menu didn't so it justice. There was 3 types of shrimp, 3 types of fish, octopus, and crab legs. It was ALL seafood, no filler underneath. It came with a side of rice with a pig face lol the shrimp stew was so tasty. Definitely my new favorite mariscos spot. The staff were also wonderful, sweet ladies work here.

My Mexican friend's mother brought us here for lunch to celebrate my birthday. We waited for maybe 15-20 minutes, since it was packed inside. But I feel like taking it to-go would be a bit more practical since it was a little too loud and lively for me. I tried the shrimp tostada and enjoyed it. It was probably one of the healthiest meals I've had eating out. I liked how they had multiple hot sauces on the table and complimentary tortilla chips with salsa. The tostada was also multi-grain, which was so yummy. My friend ordered one of the mixed seafood things, and I loved the octopus. They have one of those jukeboxes inside where you can pay to listen to a song, but the restaurant itself had music playing inside. It appears they also stopped having a band perform live music on the weekends. Also, payments are only accepted through cash or Zelle!

The fish and their spicy oil are the star here. Together they are what foodie dreams are made of. We originally came here out of a personal recommendation and I've been back many times, to this location and their other location (the other one has better beans). The thing to get is their fish and the chili oil, which is so spicy and addictive. I once ordered their shrimp and it was not worth it. The fish is always perfectly cooked, moist, never fishy, and well seasoned. The service always is friendly and welcoming despite the language barrier. Cash only, tight parking lot.

They serve the aguachiles here WARM.. NO AVOCADO and if you want a side of avocado its $10 TEN dollars!!! The ladies who work here don't give the best service and you will wait very long to order your food and long to receive your food/ get the waitress attention. The ambiance is only nice when the musicos are playing music. There are also so many flies inside of the restaurant!

La parrillada de mariscos! WOW For the price, you cannot go wrong. $100 will feed 8 people maybe more.

Hands down, the BEST fish plate I've ever had in my entire life! I don't even know how to describe the spices they use,it's like a flavor explosion that you just can't find anywhere else. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, just perfect all around. The vibe at Mariscos Martin makes the experience even better. They've got music playing, the environment is upbeat and fun, and every staff member I interacted with was super friendly and welcoming. You can really tell they care about both the food and the people. If you're even thinking about seafood, do yourself a favor and come here. I'm already planning my next visit!

CASH Only A huge plate of chips greets you upon seating. We both ordered the house speciality, pescado sarendero and shrimp sarendero 50/50 plate. Ask for this 50-50, as it's off menu. It difficult to find restaurants that serve this dish. The fish was so tender but the shrimp were overcooked, but had delicious flavor from the spices. This dish comes with a demon hot chili oil on the side. Their rice and beans are really good. Flavoring spices used are amazing. We went for an early Thursday dinner and it was mostly full. This place is very popular with strolling musicians who will take requests for donations. Parking is really tight.

When you walk in the door, the counter on the left is for paying and checking in. Write your name down and wait to be called. Or, you can walk to the back and sit at the bar and have a drink. After my name was called, my wife and I got seated and asked for our drink order right away. We were brought out chips and salsa as well as a house-made oily sauce. Their secret sauce is super delicious, on anything! It's like the fried chili crisp but blended smoother with some additional seasoning. Put it on the salsa and eat it with the chips, yum! We ordered shrimp tostada and it came right away, it was the perfect appetizer, and it's quite huge too! Roughly 8" round and about 4" tall. I ordered the fish plate, and my wife ordered the shrimp plate. Her shrimp plate had lots of shrimps. They tasted ok, but like it was missing seasoning or it was light on it. Lots of flavor on the shell side, but not on the flesh side. The shrimps were over-cooked too, all shells stuck on the flesh. The fish plate was the best I've ever had! Large fish filets, well-flavored and seasoned! Must-try! Make sure to order it if you're reading this! Get the fish! Filete Sarandeado. Definitely try! Must visit! Highly recommended!

No one came by to clear our table, bus dirty dishes, or help us place an additional order. The staff seemed more interested in talking to each other than attending to guests. It honestly felt like we were inconveniencing them just by being there. To make matters worse, the food did not match the menu description. We ordered the pescado zarandeado, which was supposed to come with vegetables and avocado. Instead, we were served a burnt, dry piece of fish, no veggies, no avocado, no salsa, nothing. When I asked about the missing items, the waitress said they came on the side, even though the menu photo clearly showed them plated with the dish. When the sides finally arrived, it was just some lettuce, a few orange slices, tomatoes, and half a scoop of avocado. Completely underwhelming. This place is not worth it. The food, service, and overall experience were a 0/10.

I had to really season it to get it down. The cocktail also needed lots of flavor. The shrimp were obviously not cleaned and it gave me the yuck. I really wanted to like this place. OMG! If you're craving some REALLY good lobster and want to get your money's worth, Boston Lobster…read moreis definitely worth trying! I came here with a friend, just the two of us, and the portions were HUGE. We ordered a lobster that was around 3-4 pounds, and the lobster is priced per pound. I believe we had the Boston Lobster House Special, and we added the noodles for about $10 extra. Let me tell you and it did NOT disappoint. The lobster was incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely mouthwatering. The noodles soaked up all that flavor from the lobster and seasoning, and everything together was just delicious. I kept wanting to eat even though I was already getting full! It is a little pricey, especially depending on the size of the lobster you choose, but they give you A LOT of food. There were only two of us, and we each had enough food left over to take home and have another full meal. Honestly, the amount we ordered could have easily fed four people. We also had the shrimp fried rice, which was delicious, and even the lemon iced tea was really good. I wanted to try more things, but there was absolutely no way, we already had so much food! This is definitely more of a family-style dining experience. In my opinion, this isn't your typical quick Chinese food spot or chain restaurant. The quality, freshness, portions, and overall experience put Boston Lobster on another level. I also loved the atmosphere. We sat near the live seafood tanks, so you can actually see the lobsters and other seafood in the tanks, which added to the experience. They also have their own private parking lot with two-hour parking, which is a huge plus. We didn't have reservations and were able to get seated, but I could definitely see this place getting crowded, so reservations may be helpful during busier times. For me, Boston Lobster is easily FIVE STARS. If you're in the Rosemead area looking for delicious Asian seafood and some seriously good lobster, I definitely recommend it. Just make sure you come HUNGRY!

It's a large portion of marinated beef cheeks (which I will be honest, I was very nervous about). The marinated beef cheeks was super flavorful (without any gaminess) and slightly shredded with " fall apart tenderness". It comes with one half of toasted bone marrow, some radish slices, cilantro, onions, habanero sauce, and 3 to 4 homemade corn tortillas. Yes, I could totally tell that the corn tortillas were homemade and soft. You use a small smear of bone marrow to give the taco an extra bonus umami flavor. Because I cannot tolerate habanero sauce, which Antonio said was very spicy, Antonio was kind enough to bring out two types of sauces that were minimally spicy for me. Honestly, the marination of the beef was so good that you actually don't even need any sauce. But I tried both sauces that Antonio brought me and they were both tasty with my taco also. You can also buy some extra homemade corn tortillas if you have any beef left over after finishing the tortillas that come with the entrée. Beni's seafood fried rice with solidly good with large chunks of seafood. Although the seafood fried rice was really good, the bone marrow beef tacos were absolutely incredible. My friend chose the spicy tuna roll (cut rolls). Normally, I would totally recommend against getting anything with spicy tuna at a restaurant. As most foodies know, a lot of restaurants hide old tuna with Sriracha sauce. So I was pleasantly surprised when her spicy tuna rolls were one of the best tuna California rolls that I've ever had!! It was like a California roll with pieces of tuna in the middle along with minced tuna sashimi spread over the top. The tuna was surprisingly fresh and creamy. Needless to say, I will need to come back with more family members. I cannot wait to try all of the other dishes on this menu. By the way, there are a ridiculous number of items to choose from on this menu. Don't forget to flip the menu over. There is something for everyone on this menu. And yes, they serve alcohol even though I don't really like alcohol myself. I'm pretty sure that I also read that there is a mimosa flight of 4 flavors if you love champagne. There is an inside air-conditioned portion of Krudo's sushi and modern kitchen. There's also an outdoor seating area. I was fortunate enough to have Antonio as my waiter. He was friendly and knowledgeable and guided my food choices well

Service was stellar - personal, but never intrusive. I liked that we were seated immediately and still given time for our late guests to arrive. Food arrived quickly once we ordered. They were gracious about splitting the tab afterwards, but could easily have asked whether we wanted separate checks since we were 3 unrelated sets of adults that arrived separately. So, what could have been better? The chafing spoons were too small and too few, leaving us to pull the chafing plate to the edge of the lazy Susan and scrape. My dinner plate was too small, so I made a bit of a mess while eating. The main room is noisy, even with some empty tables, Next time I'll ask for a table in the quiet section (to the right when coming in the main door.) I've driven past Newport Seafood many times and not gone in because the parking lot was already full, and it's not my style to park elsewhere and walk over. However, on Monday at 5 PM, we found ample parking. All that said, Newport Seafood seemed at its best when serving special meals to large families all around us. I will think of them next time we celebrate a special family occasion.
