I stumbled into this restaurant because my stomach was growling, and I'm so glad I did. I am completely and utterly satisfied! The atmosphere is so authentically Mexican that it feels like you're somewhere else entirely. The music was great, too. The prices are a bit high--$25 for free tacos and a large Jamaica drink--but it was worth every penny. I can hardly believe how delicious the three fish tacos were. I didn't make any special requests; I just let them prepare it how they do best. It was amazing! Before that, they served me a gigantic corn tortilla and some special green guacamole sauce that was incredibly hot. If you can't handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen! This place sucks bad. Very bad customer service. Employees are very rude as fuck. We walked in and stood there, no one acknowledge us for a good 15-20 minutes. Then we asked if we can just sit anywhere and we were told yes go ahead, so we did and then comes the same guy that didn't acknowledge us the time and tells us we can sit until seated by someone. I don't visit this place out of my free will. Honestly, there are always long lines here, but I don't get the appeal of this place, at least not food wise. The only reason I can see why people would visit is because of the live music. I've visited here a few times because people at my job love to eat here, but the food is disgusting and the service is worse. The only semi decent thing used to be the shrimp empanadas and even those have lost their appeal with the years. The ceviche is nasty. Food is poorly seasoned, really bland and isn't alway fresh. Drinks are mediocre. I know a few people that have gotten sick from eating here so why this place has good reviews is baffling. If you like to deal with not being able to find parking, a long wait to be seated, waiting for someone to take your order, an extended wait to be served, and eventually being served mediocre food. If you like to wait then this is your place...I don't like to wait. One other thing...I don't like karaoke bands music...if you don't know it don't sing it...you are out of tune and you massacre the song. You have earned a star for trying! Micheladas here are great but i cant say the same about the tilapia smh they over cooked it.

Came for lunch on a weekday so it was pretty empty, which may be why we got pretty good and fast service. Endless tostada and salsa (the salsa is fantastic, spicy!) This place takes forever!! The waiters are so rude, and take forever to have everything ready! I got here at 12:00pm and simply asked for a tostada de jaiva and tostada de ceviche they took almost 30 min for the order to come out, after I seen they took forever I went over and asked for my bill and cancelled my order that's when I notice my order wasn't even submitted since the mesera forgot! IM GIVING THIS PLACE 4 STARS .. this is one of my favorite places to eat due to the quality of the food . its so flavorful hot and delicious . just talking about it make me want to go right now lol .. you should try the shrimp nachos!!! yes "shrimp" nachos are AMAZING! and shrimp enchiladas are to die for! If the servers made conversation with you and put more comfortable seats and tables this would be the perfect place to come with you family and friends . The only thing I don't like is it can be very loud due to the Banda playing all the time . its hard to hear your server, and place your oder also the music can be so loud that it hard to make company with your friends and family and your forced to eat without socializing beside that everything it great . read more

Love this place more than the Florence location because it's mostly indoors. The Langostinos al mojo de ajo is to die for, Along with the Pescado Zarandeado! They serve Zarandeado 7 days a week too unlike the Florence location. It takes 45 minutes to cook the fish so I always suggest ordering it before you leave home so that it's ready or almost ready by the time you get there. The negative reviews are way too harsh, their food is too good to pass up. read more

empanadas de camaron as an appetizer with the ceviche de agua chile.(not to be confused with ceviche de camaron, both the ceviche de camaron and ceviche de pescado are pretty bad. You come here sat. and sun. for the "pescado sarandeado" some oysters and the empanadas, who could forget the beer and the live banda. you must also order a side of the garlic butter to add some kick to your rice and fish(promise you won't regret it). It's an awsome place to come to with adults due to the nature of some people not being able to handle their alcohol but again you have to be willing to try other things cause most people don't even know that the best thing on the menu is the "pescado sarandeado" and the quality of the fish is excellent (some sort of white sea bass). needless to say i have been a costumer since the late 90's, but due to my strong mexican backround i will take seafood from here anyday of the week over any other FANCY restaurant. yes i agree that the typical dishes are probably of average to below average taste but a few exceptions exist and they are exceptional dishes. last but not least the banda and tambora can get loud but after a few drinks if its your kind of music(it is mine) you just dont want to leave. hope this helps. read more
