The food variety is one of the best I've seen at this price; they offer everything from snow crab legs and sashimi to teppanyaki and hand-ladled soup bowls. I think me and my bestie got here pretty close to closing time but we just came here randomly and the food selection honestly wasn't that bad.. however, there was a lot of good looking shrimp dishes that I couldn't eat Cus im allergic and it sucks cus all the good dishes were shrimp -_- I was literally half asleep when I came here but I remember we got seated pretty fast. One of my friends is a huge buffet lover, and she recommended Ichiban Buffet Gardena for my birthday dinner -- so we decided to try it, and it was so good! They had so many different food selections, and the Teppanyaki section was so good. My two friends also treated me to dinner for my birthday, and I'm so thankful to them. The crab legs were good, and all the food was delicious. While we were eating, I think we heard the birthday song about seven times! Taste-wise, the food was average but honestly, for $17 (which certainly feels like the going rate for lunch nowadays), there isn't much to complain about. I saw it on social media and decided to try it with my family. We really enjoyed the food for it's affordable price and the quality of food. My favorite is the cheesy mussels! After our first visit, we went for the second time again, and the operation is still the same. The workers are very attentive. The sushi area though, they don't fill it up right away and can sometimes look not appetizing anymore. We went for brunch on a Saturday recently and we were happy overall. The crab legs were tasty and fresh. Being that is the most popular item, it runs out and you have to keep an eye on the refill. Everything was great, from the fried items (calamari, egg rolls, etc), to the baked mussels, seafood boil shrimp, regular shrimp, to the MANY sushi choices. Salad and fruit was very fresh. Everything we tried was good. The only complaint would be too much rice in sushi rolls, but that is to be expected in a big buffet. I saw this on a TikTok and realized there was really close to where I live. Being new to Torrance I'm always interested in experiencing new restaurants. Who doesn't love a good buffet? I rarely go to a buffet for lunch, but the fact that this is only 12 minutes from my home, I knew I needed to try it. The price is 1599+ tax, $20 even after tax and tip. I discovered it about six weeks ago, and now I go once to twice a week. I know there's a stigma for people that go to buffets often, but for me, it is more about the variety than the amount of food that I can consume. It makes sense pricewise, but the fact that the food here is really good makes even more sense. Strange enough, my favorite things to eat here are the vegetables. The broccoli is crunchy and crisp and the mushrooms and tofu along with it is great as well. I like the vermicelli and the soups that they offer. Every time I go, I keep different things, sometimes I'm in the mood for sushi. Sometimes I'm in the mood for chicken wings and sometimes I'm in the mood for sticky rice in banana leaf. Whatever I'm in the mood for, this place has it. Last week I decided to get takeout instead to see if it made more sense to eat in or eat out. After filling up two boxes, the total was about $35. It made me realize that eating and was the better value, but I also realized that after eating one of the two boxes that was pretty full. I had enough for another meal later on in the day, and it was still good. In terms of the dining experience, the servers were very attentive and very friendly. The turnover is pretty quick and they do their best to keep everything as clean as possible. After to come here for a few weeks, you start to recognize the regulars, and a few more visits, you realize you are one of them. I've been here for dinner and while I'm not too crazy about the crab, I still enjoy the ambience. This is probably the most affordable buffet I've seen in Los Angeles, and based on my attendance, it's one of the better ones as well. Was so excited to try out this new AYCE Seafood Buffet! Had typical buffet foods but focused more on seafood. You definitely get a bang for your buck here, only $22 per person. Especially because of all the crab and crab legs here! Service was okay and could of been better but it was during a Sunday lunch rush when we came. There is easy parking in the large parking lot in the front. Service was very good. Even though the line was long to get in when we first arrived, the restaurant is very spacious inside so everybody was quickly seated. The servers were also very fast taking away our dirty plates and refilling drinks. So five stars for them. However the food is just mediocre at best. I thought the best dishes were the steak at the Teppenyaki station and the ramekins of spare rib soup. If you see the soup, don't hesitate to take one or more. They don't come out very often. The steak was very tender and flavorful, especially with the (heavy) garlic sauce. Next time I'll ask the cook to grill some shrimp with it too. The endless sashimi, well, left a lot to be desired. They definitely tasted like they had been defrosted from frozen. Worse, they're cut into such thick chunks that they didn't really taste that good. See picture. This is definitely not Nobu. The sushi rolls were all variations of California rolls ie/no real fish inside. The only real fish were on the nigiri sushis. There were long lines for the crabs. What made it worse were people who used two plates and piled on 6-7 crabs to take back knowing there's a long line of people waiting their turn. Such greedy eaters. Same with crab legs. People took their time to pick through the entire pile and took everything they could while people waited their turns. The rest of the foods were pretty mediocre, American Chinese style dishes like stir fried broccoli, crab rangoon, French fries, fried chicken wings, mussels with cheese sauce. The salad bar is pretty comprehensive. I liked the desserts too, especially the individual cups of ice cream on this day they had vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and orange sherbet. For an affordable buffet, Ichiban Buffet is hard to beat. Only $23 on weekends and $2 senior discount for those over $65. Just don't expect a fancy meal. read more

After seeing videos, we decided to drop by to check Ichiban Buffet out on a Saturday morning. The best thing about the buffet is that they have snow crab legs and individual ice cream cups for dessert. Aside from that, I honestly wasn't impressed. The lobby was filled with people waiting for tables to open up when we arrived at about noon, and the restaurant was full. The turnaround wasn't too bad, as most people weren't waiting too long to be seated. They have a private room and the main large room for seating options. I felt that the restaurant itself was about as clean as most other buffets that I've been to, it wasn't overly dirty, but I definitely wouldn't trust any type of 5-10 second rule. While there was a decent selection of cold and hot foods, as well as a hibachi grill, the food's quality just wasn't all there. a majority of the food felt overcooked, and some felt slimy, as if the food had been left out a long time. I was struggling to fill a second plate, as nothing really looked appealing. I might consider coming back for the snow crabs, and perhaps try again though, as maybe it was a one-off situation. Our tables were frequently cleared and our drinks were refilled often, though they take your cup and add to it instead of dropping off a new cup and taking the old one away.
