I gave it a 2nd shot. Unfortunately, disappointed again. I was more disappointed than the first time. Great customer service but prices are (apparently) subject to change and the results are not worth the price. When i went the first time, I got gel mani, $75. This time I got gel manicure and just a regular pedi(no gel) my total was almost $200. I got a cut the first time and I got cut the 2nd time as well. I won't be going back.

I had an amazing experience at Marivanna Nails today. Thanks to Ira, I walked out with the most beautiful nails I've ever had! The photos I included don't even do them justice, but look at the gorgeous nail shape and those perfectly clean lines. The staff is very welcoming and friendly, and all seem to be extremely talented. I overheard the girl at the station next to me saying her nails haven't looked this good in a long time. I also may have been peeking over and they did look amazing, so clearly I wasn't the only one receiving extremely high quality service. Don't be fooled by the fact that it is a fairly new business, because the nail techs clearly have years of experience. It is also a huge plus that they are open until 9pm every day, and I was able to make a last minute appointment at six. I am not always great at planning ahead, so that was very convenient. If you're looking for a new nail salon (which I assume is the reason you are reading this review), please don't hesitate.

The small cut on my thumb was so tender and a little painful to touch.

I did not have a pleasant experience at this nail salon. The technician who did my pedicure seemed annoyed that I chose not to get gel polish. I've never had gel on my toes before and have never had any issues with regular polish. I requested a milky white color, but she only applied two coats, and the result looked streaky and uneven. When I politely asked if she could add another coat, she refused, saying it wasn't going to dry and suggested switching to a regular white instead. I was also concerned when I noticed her using a tool to poke her own finger after it had been used on me. The technician who did my manicure was very kind and did her best, but the quality was not up to the standard of a Russian manicure. After I got home, I noticed a small cut on my thumb, and several cuticles were not properly trimmed. The cuticle area on one of my fingers has also been tender and sore. I paid $180 for these services, and unfortunately, I do not feel the quality matched the price. Overall, I am very disappointed with my experience.

my nails look great but my finger tips are cut up from the nail file, I tried to tell her a couple times that it was hurting. also one nail is already broken and I got them done 2 hours ago. I was writing this review yesterday & decided not to post it but I woke up with the cuts on my fingertips killing me.

Second time coming here to get a builder gel mani and pedicure and I will definitely keep coming back! The women who work here are always so kind and friendly, they are extremely detail oriented and always do a great job!! I pay $185 for a hard gel mani and pedicure which is a tiny bit on the higher side but worth it to me given their attention to detail and how close it is to me. They also always offer me tea, coffee, water or champagne each time. Would definitely recommend trying here :)

I got the Russian mani and pedi. The work is super detailed and I've never had my manicure look so neat before. I was a little nervous since it's my first time getting a Russian manicure, but it wasn't bad at all. As someone who goes to the salon mainly to keep my nails neat, I highly recommend. They also have non-Russian mani/pedis as well. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating, which always helps puts me at ease.

My life has been changed by this salon! I have never gotten a Russian gel manicure before today and I can't tell you the last time I LOVED my nails before today. I was completely missing out?! Rosanna did my nails so beautifully and she was so sweet. At this salon, they really care and truly pay such great attention to every detail to make your nails perfect. Usually, I leave a basic nail salon unhappy, with chunky acrylic nails. But, today I left Marivanna nails sooo satisfied and in love with my nails!! :) read more

I was very hopeful for this salon and drove an hour to be dissatisfied with my set. I booked a Russian manicure with 10% off - which I assumed would be $94.50 due to the length of my nails (medium is $105). However, I was caught off guard when I was charged "long nail" fee of $115 with no 10% discount as indicated in their website. Additionally, my art was $40; $20 for a French tip on only 6 nails and another $20 for chrome on 4 nails, totaling $155 (lol). For this price, I expect absolute perfection, but this set was underwhelming. The original design I chose was not fully executed, and the French tips were uneven (higher on the right) and streaky. The shaping could also use some improvement. That said, the Russian manicure itself was decent. The cuticle work was excellent and probably the highlight of my appointment. While I appreciated the great cuticle work, I left feeling dissatisfied with the service and the value for what I paid. read more

Made an appointment at 9 am on a Saturday and was paired with Natali! She got started on my nails right away as soon as I sat down and showed me all the colors they had. I went with hard gel and got a neutral color. Her attention to detail was amazing and she kept checking in on me to make sure the length and shape was good. Natali's cuticle work is impeccable. So detailed and clean!!! I was so amazed! The appointment was around an hour for a Russian hard gel manicure. She was fast but very thorough in her work. My cuticles looked amazing and all the dead skin was off. Love my nails and would come back again!!!! read more

Marivanna Is literally hands down the best nail salon in Los Angeles, I've been coming here for a year and they always do the best job to my craziest design and never complain when I am late. I drive over a 100 miles to get my nails done every two weeks. I have never broken or chipped a nail, there products are fantastic and the best Russian mani and pedi. The girls are always smiling and laughing. the atmosphere is always clean and comfortable. I would recommend them over and over again! read more

IT TOOK THEM NOT EXAGGERATING 3 hours to do my nails plus they charged me $140 total for gel refill and fixing one nail, I got there at 7 and left at 10! The tools they used look like you can get it from the dollar store and she took so long I understand taking your time but it looked like she wasn't sure what she was doing. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you're patient and for convenience. I still liked my nails but wasn't worth the time spent there and felt inexperienced. I am very open minded and still have tip but don't have a nail salon if some of the workers looks unsure on what they're doing read more

I keep coming back to this spa because they truly are amazing. Their work is always so clean, precise, and professional. I'm very picky about nails and I've had them done in many different places around the world, but I can honestly say this is one of the best nail salons I've ever been to. Today, Yulia and Ira took care of me and they were both wonderful -- so kind, detailed, and talented. And Laura, the owner, is always so welcoming and professional. I struggled finding a good spot in LA for manicure/pedicure in general, and I can assure you - this is the spot. Friendly and attentive service. Also, since I probably couldn't articulate 100% what I needed, the result exceeded my expectations. So finally no need to look for another spot. Highly recommended! read more

I did hard gel removal. My booking was easy, i scheduled appointment same day! Little late, they are were about to close, but still accommodated me. Wouldn't say she is cleaned my nails properly, I still got some parts of hard gel on my nails, but my nail plate was very thin, probably that's why she left gel layers and doesn't removed it all. If you want fast and same day nail service or you have emergency like me, yes i recommend. read more

I showed her a photo of this elegant almond-shaped manicure with a soft nude-pink base, classic white French tips, and that gorgeous silver glitter ombre on the accent nail. Ira not only understood exactly what I wanted but elevated it even more - the result was flawless, luxurious, and exactly like the dreamy look I was hoping for (shiny, perfectly smooth gel, no bubbles, and the glitter fades so beautifully!). I originally had an appt yesterday, but had to reschedule because of a flat tire and I wasn't sure if I'd make it, so they were kind enough to reschedule me for the next day. I went in for a gel manicure with hard gel and it was great. My nail artist nicked me a little bit on my pinkie, but I honestly didn't feel it until she cleaned it with alcohol. But she did an amazing job. She was super thorough during the cuticle work and even afterwards while doing the hard gel portion to make sure there was no dead skin left. I did feel a little bad (no part on them) because I had issues with my card which was completely my bad for not fixing before hand! Especially since they were busy immediately after.
