My builder gel manicure turned out ok -- inconsistent in application, resulting in the appearance of a dip on some fingers, but since we don't typically look at nails from a side profile, I will say they look decent head on. The pedicure, missed the mark: crooked big toe, uneven polish, and roughed up cuticles. Biggest gripe? The pricing structure seems off. I was quoted $90 for colored ombré and then $125 to add glitter gel color to the colored ombré -- no art, no 3D, no extras. A $35 difference feels steep. GOAT is very close to where I live & had great reviews so I decided to pop in after a long shift at work to pamper myself. My nail tech Rosie did great. Flower art turned out so cute & process was relatively fast :) Can't forget to point out the complimentary drink - a very nice touch! There's also free parking in the shared lot. Now for the cons: Wait time - Although they accept walk-ins, I highly recommend booking an appt. I ended up waiting over half an hour. Nail length - I usually get much shorter nails but was told this was already very short. It was almost closing time so I didn't push back. Ultimately I do wish I was able to have it shortened. Payment - They accept cash or card only as & paying with card will incur a fee. Overall, I like this salon but I gravitate towards salons that is more flexible when it comes to walk-ins & take Venmo/Zelle as payment. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience here. I've come to this salon before and usually see Natalie, who I've liked in the past. This time she wasn't available, but when I called, I specifically asked to be scheduled with someone good if she couldn't do my appointment. I was reassured in the past that "everyone here is good." However, when I received my confirmation text, it said "next available," which should have been a red flag. I went in for a gel builder fill. Instead of doing a fill, the technician began filing off my entire existing builder. I initially tried to stay polite and not question her, but after a few minutes I asked why she was completely removing it when I was scheduled for a fill. She then turned to ask the tech next to her (Natalie) in Vietnamese about doing a fill/builder. From the partial English spoken and the conversation happening, it was clear she did not know what she was doing. She over-buffed my nails to the point that they hurt and I had to physically pull my hands back multiple times. When I tried to lift my hands to look at the color, she would pull them back down. She aggressively buffed underneath my nails to the point that they bled. She also attempted to cut my nails down and twice nearly cut into my skin, even after I pulled back and told her to stop. Two weeks later, one of the nails completely popped off, and there is now discoloration on my natural nail -- likely from improper prep and application. After doing my research, this means my natural nail plate was likely thinned and possibly has moisture trapped. Now I need to go get this professional removed and let my nails heal for multiple weeks. The receptionist could tell I wasn't fully happy (though she didn't know the full extent of what happened) and encouraged me to come back. I declined. The only resolution offered was 10% off. I can't believe someone working in a professional nail salon would handle a client this way. I used to enjoy coming here, but after this experience, I will not be returning. read more

Went here for the first time yesterday. It was difficult booking online for same day appointment but I called and was able to book easily. There is parking but it's limited since it's a busy retail center. The salon is beautiful and trendy. It smelled fresh and looked bright. The wall was FULL of gel polishes and a limited assortment of regular polish (which I know is not as popular as gel). The customer service was friendly. Most of the staff had a customer. If they didn't have a customer, they were watching the application of intricate nail designs. I did a classic manicure (regular polish manicure, trim, cuticles, 3 min hand massage). I wanted to choose a bright orange polish for the summer but I didn't see it, so I went with a warm pink. Now, I see the nails look a lil pepto bismolly. The staff member who did my manicure brought her cart over. I saw some bags so I thought all tools were sanitized. When the polish was applied, my cuticles were flooded. The top coat used was dnd gel bond... I've never used that as a top coat on regular polish. Maybe this is the industry standard... there was a walk in after me. As I was waiting for gel bond to dry from fan, I was directed to switch chairs to make room for the walk in. Immediately, the walk in had their gel extensions cut with the same nail clippers that were used on me. The only sanitary experience I received was the rubbing alcohol sprayed on my nails post cuticle trimming, pre-polish application. I woke up today, took a morning shower and peeled off some of the excess of that gel bond top coat. The shaping is a lil off too... I will say the gel nail designs are beautiful but I wouldn't come here for a regular classic manicure. It was too rushed. read more

I showed her a picture of a cute nude color I was looking for, described to her that I wanted almond style nails and on the shorter side for length, and she helped me find the perfect color. Girl was nice but didn't clean them how I wanted (in grown removals). Nail polish also didn't get the entire nail. However, I constantly had to repeat myself when it came to the design I wanted and then the artist (Rosie) was telling me what she wanted to do to my nail. Then she finally put the gem on my nails as the desired design shown. However, it was extremely sloppy due to excess glue leaving my nail with excess glue.
