A month later, I still get the run around of their losing one of my pants. Why am I writing this review , it isn't so much because of the lost pants, it is how they are handling it. I have been back 5 times and I just get the run-around. A month ago I dropped 3 pants of, I was returned 2 that were mine, and a larger/different color one. I stated - this large grey one is not mine. I gave my name and phone number, I've been back 5 times. What have I been told by the same female employ, you the reader pick which one you find most unacceptable: 1) well we can fix the wrong one to fit you (so, um, wonder about the original owner of those pants?) 2) leave me your other two pants and we will look for the missing one (the only thing the missing pants have in common with my other two is they are black, not same brand 3) when I went to get my two pants back, they were reluctantly returned to me 4) one week I'm told, come back on Thursday, the owner can decide what to do. I come on a Thursday the owner is not there 5) I come back the following week, "I have to tell the owner about your missing pants." (so owner hasn't been told) 6) I asked - why don't you launder my next order of pants for free as compensation - I got silence, no reply. 7) I asked - how do you guys handle this? Yes, this is a simply a fantastic dry cleaners. Jennifer greets everyone with a sincere smile and knows most (if not all), of her customers by name. I'm new to the area and by reading reviews on Yelp, I went here for my wedding dress tailoring and bustling. With a combined 40 years plus experience in this business, they said they've never seen so much tulle, but we're happy to work tirelessly to give me an absolutely perfect wedding gown!! Jennifer went above and beyond to guide me in helping to manage my bustle, and LITERALLY was our savior! I have many other cleaners closer to me but I will always go here! These are incredibly warm and very good people, with the best of intentions. They also do fantastic work cleaning and tailoring! I've been getting my coat cleaned for over three years. The hand area always gets dirty because it's a light coat. It's never been a problem before and A-1 Valet Cleaners on Washington Blvd always got it cleaned. I bought my coat here for convenience. It's a different area so when they charged me $5 more than A-1, I was annoyed but thought, "whatever". No, it wasn't whatever. They were "unable to get my coat cleaned" but they had no problem taking my money. Needless to say I won't bring anything here anymore. I'll drive the 10 extra minutes and pay $5 less for the service every customer deserves. read more

I brought in my wedding dress, which I had bought second hand and had awful stains from the original owner, and they were able to get it looking brand new for almost half the price that a different dry cleaner quoted me! And it was done in about a week. Service was friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for more! read more

This is such a lovely business. I've brought a number of wool/silk/delicate items here and they've all come back in perfect shape. Prices are pretty standard and turnaround is a couple of days, normally. It's clean, well-lit, and so friendly. This is one of those small businesses that deserves support right now. read more

Their tailoring service is rubbish. I took in 2 garments to get tailored, and what I received back was a poorly done job that was sloppy, with loose threads coming off everywhere. I can't even wear these garments unless I take them somewhere else now and have them fixed. They wouldn't even offer a refund after the mess they made, but the lady sure was quick to place her hand out for my card payment. I'm beyond disappointed and upset. I DO NOT recommend them to anyone. If you're thinking of using their tailor services, look somewhere else! read more

Great people, very good value and superior tailor repair! Needed my nylon down filled vest repaired, it was not only done within a week but beautifully repaired as well, & once my fam saw what they could do there, I've been back several times for repair work alone ,a favorite pair of swim trunks, a lambs leather coat, salvaged a good part of the fams winter wardrobe this year & the prices are reasonable. No complaints here. I came here to get 4 men's dress shirt dry cleaned. They took it in quickly and quoted me. I came here and picked it up the next day and it was all done. It was $2.25 per shirt so came out to be $9 even. Quick. Easy. Cheap. And well done. =) read more

I took a very special polo match shirt by Ralph Lauren that was given to me as a gift by my Grand Mother and they destroyed the shirt. The sleeves were cut pretty bad, the stitched running ponies on the back were originally gold in color and after they washed it, it came out black and it looked wrinkled up. I thought maybe when you wash these particular shirts, its a possibility for the stitching to change color as the water color changes during the wash process, however, I bought a brand new shirt costing me $149.94 and tried washing it at home and it came out looking spotless without a cut off sleeve or change of color. read more

This place is no good. Although they are very friendly, they are over-priced and ruined 2 of my dresses. Long story short, both dresses were a fuchsia color and when I brought them home there were purplish-blue stains all over. Do they not check the clothes before they return to customers? When I brought them back, the lady made some excuse about the coloring done by the manufacturer and said she would try to fix it. When I came back to pick them up they looked better but there is still a noticeable hint of blue where the stains were. They did not offer a refund nor did they offer to reimburse me for the cost of the dresses, which weren't cheap. Won't be going back. read more

Am I the only one who had an average experience? I took in two pieces of clothing - one dress and one suit jacket. The dress came out just fine but the jacket looked like it hadn't even been touched. The jacket had all the same winkles and the same stain on the sleeve. I blame myself for not checking at the cleaners that the jacket hadn't been touched but as I am leaving in the evening for a business trip I did not have the time to go back and get it re-cleaned. They do really great work at competitive prices. Jennifer, the co-owner/operator of the business, calls customers by their names and they foster a friendly community vibe. I've had them tailor multiple dress shirts/pants, two suits, and a leather jacket with the work turned around quickly and affordably. They maintain extensive business hours (open six days a week for about 12 hours each day) and have even accommodated me by staying open an extra 10 minutes on a Friday to allow me to pick up my item since I would've been unable to do so that weekend. Friendly, professional and quick, I was very cautious at first because I had some bad cleaners in the past, but, after trying them over and over I just can't go to anyone else now! I took a very expensive leather jacket to them after it was soaked in the rain and severely damaged, when I picked it up, I kept thinking that they must have switched it or something! It took me a while to believe that this was my damaged jacket after all the amazing work they did on it!... Your clothes will always be ready at the time they give you. You will be greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome. You won't have to worry about them losing your clothes. You will not have to worry about someone damaging your clothes. There are two genuinely friendly young ladies who run the shop and provide a nice personal experience. Their prices are competitive with typical dry cleaners. I have had many shirts dry cleaned here and had a few pants altered and they have done a great job. If you are living in the area, I would definitely give them a try. read more

This was our go-to cleaners when we lived in the Mark Center/Town Square neighborhood for our suits. We utilized their same day service many times, which is only $1 or $2 more than the usual price I believe. You may be able to find cheaper cleaners in the area, but we never bothered looking because these folks have never failed us. The owners were consistently accommodating and friendly (which is more than I can say for their neighbors at CVS - service with a sneer & a snarl!). I think I just found my new cleaner. I checked out Mark Center Cleaners based on their Yelp reviews. I dropped off some dress pants on Saturday and asked to have them back Monday. The lady at the counter was very nice and assured me that they would be ready Monday. Fast forward to Monday. I show up to pick up my pants. I was greeting immediately by a different young woman. She was helping another customer with some tailoring but as soon as she was done, she promptly came over to get my pickup ticket. She was also very nice. Just the kind of service I was looking for when I decided to stop using my previous cleaner. They accept credit card but have a $15 minimum. I wish the minimum was lower or didn't exist because I rarely use cash. I understand why they have the minimum though. There are several other dry cleaners closer to my home but I will drive the extra couple of miles for this shop. read more

I used to live right down the road from this shop and used them all the time. When I moved to Arlington I tried some other places closer to me and could find none that did as good a job with my husbands dress shirts. Even though it is kind of out of my way, I still come back to this cleaner for all of my dry cleaning. They are very nice and have never had anything bad happen to any clothing I have dropped off. Wow - what can I say! This place is amazing. We just recently started going here and the family who owns/operates already know our names. They are always so nice and accommodating here. They are very friendly and provide incredible customer service. And the work is top-notch. Not only did they just rebuild a zipper for me on my Calvin Klein Dress (which should have been nearly impossible) they knew I was leaving for vacation so they got it done for me in two days AND called me when it was ready. I wasn't even expecting to have it in time for my cruise...but they knew I would have liked it and they went above and beyond to make it happen. I will never go anywhere else. When it comes to alterations, the Mark Center Cleaners team is composed of fairy-godmother-type magicians! I had my wedding gown and my bridesmaids' dresses altered there. One of my bridesmaids was pregnant when we ordered the dresses and she assumed that she would be back to her pre-pregnancy size by my wedding day. However two weeks before the wedding, she was still a few sizes larger than the dress. The dress was no longer in stock, so we had to work with the one that was purchased! Jennifer at the Cleaners crafted a plan on how to insert fabric panels on the sides of the dress to make it larger. Also, my bridesmaids' cleavage was falling out of the dresses and she created modern "modesty pieces" from the fabric that was taken off of the hems. The sewer did an amazing job and all of us looked beautiful and you could not notice the extensive work that was done on one of the dresses. ALL DONE AT A VERY GOOD PRICE AND ON TIME. Post-wedding, I took my wedding gown there to be cleaned (after a rainy outdoor wedding) and they cleaned it up and boxed it up in a fancy wedding storage box for a fraction of what I was quoted elsewhere. My in-laws have been going here for many years with regular dry cleaning and alterations and always get excellent service. read more

This cleaner was super expensive and they ruined one of my shirts. I was in a bind and needed a last minute cleaner. I have no problem paying extra if I am receiving extra service. In this case I was not. They didn't do anything special and in fact they ruined one of my shirts. The only reason I am not giving them one star is because they did finish my cleaning on time. In the end, if you're going to get the quality of Zips, I'd at least like to pay the same price as Zips. read more

No better dry cleaners in this area in my view. I used them for years when I worked just up the street then switched several other places as my job address changed. Right now, I live in ALexandria, work in Gainesville and find myself driving off my track to the Mark Center area to these cleaners. It's not price - you can get cheaper elsewhere - it's a combination of quality product, timeliness of service, great customer service - and price.
