Terrified No More! I used to be terrified of going to the dentist. So much so, that a cavity was far more preferable than the tooth doctor. This all changed when I had the pleasure to meet Dr Stein and his competent, friendly staff. His low key, calm personality, his warm and welcoming smile and his terrific playlist have converted me. Dr. Stein is a great dentist with an awesome personality! His staff is very knowledgeable, polite, and speedy. Unfortunately, I have moved to where it is difficult for me to get to Dr. Stein. Dr Stein is awesome. As I sat in his waiting room, I listened to the Foo Fighters, Guns N Roses, and Elton John. He greeted me with a warm welcome and made a lot of good jokes to ease my anxiety from a previous root canal on an infected tooth. During the appointment we decided it was time for me to get a crown on the molar and he always made sure I was doing ok the entire time he was working on the tooth. It was quick and painless. Excellent overall. Top-of-the-line, fast, comprehensive dental care, at a reasonable price. Suzie at the front desk is wonderful, friendly and extremely attentive, was super fast when I needed records sent to a dentist across the country. Chris, the dental hygienist I've seen, and of course Dr. Stein, are so professional and kind, on top of their high-quality dentistry work. I've been known to be picky in general :) -- but I've never had a complaint about this place. I never have to wait for my appointment, and they've actually let me bring my dog with me (don't worry, he waits in the waiting room, when there are no other patients around). You also get an AMAZING view during your cleaning/exam. Thorough oral cancer checks, and really helped my tooth sensitivity with bonding. But even after the bonding came off years later, sensitivity was way reduced. The prices are reasonable, and they are also willing to work with you when finances are tight. The building is easy to access, although I believe you had to pay for parking, so I parked on a nearby residential street. Would love to find a similar place (haha, not likely) now that I've moved to NYC. read more

Dr. Stein is everything you want in a dentist. Professional, warm and friendly, extremely knowledgeable about everything dentistry, and most important to me, patient and calming. He has a great staff, and a great office with views of the valley. It provides plenty of distraction and relaxation when your mouth is being worked on. He is great at giving novocaine shots, which is something that I used to dread with other dentists. He uses electronic x-rays so I don't have to deal with my terrible gag reflex when using the traditional bulky bite-wings. His hygienist is great, very thorough, but very gentle.
