When the technician arrived, I pointed out that the cable tension on that side seemed different from the other side. He spent about 30 minutes trying to fix it, but I could not stay with him the entire time, so I'm not sure what was actually done. In the end, he told me, "this is the best I can do" and that "it's just an old door." He also suggested replacing the doors. I paid $221 for this visit and was left with the same problem. That was extremely frustrating. I later fixed the issue myself. It turned out that the cable drum on one side had lost its grip on the torsion bar. The replacement part cost about $20, and after watching a few YouTube videos and spending about an hour, I was able to fix the issue. What bothers me most is that this seems like something an experienced garage door technician should have been able to diagnose.
