I've had my ups & downs with plumbers over the years, and was feeling relatively secure I had…read moresomeone to call on as necessary but now my former plumber won't drive the 40 miles from his house to mine any more without a signficant surcharge (really? it's only 40 miles) and a wait of more than a few days to arrive. Without a super-solid review I could latch on to, I was hesitant to work with someone new, but I needed to fix a couple of leaky toilets. I called Mayflower Plumbing at 9:00am, explained the problem to Donny, and said I had only a small window of opportunity to get the work done, so he suggested that he come by and look things over the same day -shocker #1! And he was exactly on time, accurately updating me with his ETA as the appointment time drew close, and arriving exactly on time as promised- shocker #2! These guys are great! Polite,calm and courteous, Donny arrived and introduced himself, looked things over and immediately made me feel significantly less stressed . He explained how he was going to figure things out and introduced his brother Paul, equally courteous and professional. They got to work, organized and explaining things to me along the way. They began to diagnose the problems with two toilets, and as Donny said "we won't fix what isn't broken" so I felt that the leak would be fixed and realtively confident that I wouldn't be paying for work that wasn't necessary. Turned out to be a very minor problem (woo hoo) easily (and less expensively) fixed without a major overhaul. Turned out they left my toilets fixed as well as cleaner than when they arrived! They worked neatly, and in less than 90 minutes had fixed everything, picked up every last bit of trash, installed new toilet seats, dropped the trash in my garage as I asked them to, and even replaced the little zen garden I keep on the tank of one toilet that I had removed before they arrived. Plus - they came in well under $200 (shocker #3) for the whole deal which made me very, very happy. They back up their work, they're professional and experienced and didn't 'fix anything that wasn't broken" as Donny promised! Now that I found a new plumber, I'm already planning the next project without stress!

On our most recent problem to resolve, we had some outdoor water connections to shut off for the winter. Tim replaced them with updated shutoff valves. While here, Tim discovered that we had a leak in our water heater, that he could fix quickly and at a lower cost than if we waited (ultimately fixing something preventatively is much better than waiting for it to break). At the end of the day - Tim has earned our trust over many projects over many years. Best suggestion for a homeowner out there, is to call Condon Plumbing and have him review your system before you need him to come fix a problem. Found Michael thru Yelp and since he was local I called and asked him for a quote on new…read moreboiler/heating system as ours was leaking a little bit. He stopped by and gave us a quote which was very comparable to other quotes we received. We decided to go with Michael and a few days later (before our scheduled installation date) our boiler/heating system completely broke and we had no hot water. He again stopped by and looked it and offered to try to fix it temporarily. We appreciated the offer but we just waited for the scheduled installation date that we had already set. Michael had said it would take 3 days to install and it took 3 days. He arrived on time every day and worked all day in the very hottest of days. His subcontractor/electricians came on the last day and they were polite and on time. We asked them for their business cards in case we needed future electrical work. I've attached a photo of his work. Disregard the flooring as that where the old equipment was.
