As a veteran of the US Marine Corps, I was unsure how I would be received seeing that my primary care is a local veteran's clinic which is closed on the weekends. Veteran's receive first rate service at Lee County Health Services. I was amazed at the quick response I received from Lee Health intake personnel, their kindness, concern, and an initial check of my status by a nurse in the lobby. I was admitted immediately and my first interaction was with EDT "Seth" who performed an EKG and began an IV for impending testing. Seth was encouraging, kind, professional, efficient, as he prepared me for the testing to follow. My EKG results were returned to me quickly subsequent a review by Doctor Cox. Next, I was escorted to X-Ray for imaging...the technician was very kind, patient, professional. Next, I was placed on a hospital bed and taken to a private room by "Brandon" where I met with Dr. Cox and my Nurse, Dana. Brandon was very polite and conversational, calming and professional. Nurse Dana was attentive, kind and professional. Dr. Cox was incredible...she actually took the time to discuss all of my concerns and she was insistent that I receive every possible test available at the Lee Health Emergency section. Next, I was transported to vascular and the Technician, I've forgotten her name, was incredibly sweet and kind and thorough...she certainly deserves recognition as she took an extended period of time to examine me. Next, Doctor Cox ordered urine and blood testing. Subsequent to all the testing and their results, Doctor Cox, once again, counseled with me at length concerning the test results and my follow-up with an area specialist. I hope that those Administrators with Lee Health, Cape Coral, will take the time and effort to recognize these incredible employees as they all made me feel at ease as they took the "time" to care for me in a most professional and personal way. We interviewed other concierge practices in the Lee/Collier vicinity and it was apparent in the 1st meeting that we were a perfect fit. We couldn't be more pleased with his exceptional, professional and thorough care. While we are very healthy 69 and 70 yr. olds, unexpected things occur. As exceedingly careful as we have been throughout this pandemic, we were exposed to and contracted Covid-19. When my condition deteriorated to a very concerning level, my husband called Dr. Tritel who immediately responded and intervened. He assessed the conditions my husband was explaining over the phone, and calmly and with absolute conviction advised my husband to call 9-1-1 to get me to the hospital immediately. I was admitted, diagnosed with double pneumonia and with Dr. Tritel's intervention and constant communication with the hospital and my husband, received the utmost care and the Remdesivir treatment and Convalescent Plasma through the clinical trial in place between the hospital and the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Tritel was pro-active in seeking these treatments on my behalf. We are 100 percent convinced this would not have occurred without Dr. Tritel. While he will not take credit for saving my life, I am stating for you in this review that is very much the case. We were beyond pleased with our relationship with Dr. Tritel prior to this life changing experience; we are now beyond grateful to Him for his dedication to his patients and our care. We trusted that Dr. Tritel would always make the best decisions as it relates to our healthcare and that he would "be there" for us when we needed him. My experience: Urinating Frank blood and with pain at the end. Upon arrival I explained the symptoms, I was instructed to urinate into the specimen container. I couldn't believe that the urine was clear and no pain! This was so weird to me. I thought to myself that maybe I was passing a kidney stone. Dr. On duty there was no bacteria present and will send it to the lab for further examination. And would they call with the results. Two weeks went by, no word. I called and receptionist said it was negative for any bacteria. OK, I need to speak to the doctor as to what might have occurred as I did have frank blood, very painful upon urination. Receptionist said she would pass this along. Receptionist phoned me( not the Dr.) back and stated "the doctor said there was no bacteria present" . I said, "Did you ask what could have caused it?" No reply, and I said, "well as a doctor, why wouldn't he mention that maybe it was a kidney stone". In my nursing experience, it is common sense to go over what could have caused this and talk about it directly with the doctor. This never happened and I was very disappointed. A Patient(customer)going in should ask lots of questions and make sure you are clear and follow up. Be your own advocate as no one else will be.

Now for everyone seeing those two stars let me tell you the reasons why I will not be returning to the establishment . Upon my last visit which was back in I think February 2025. I went in for a routine visit and everything seemed normal there's a couple spots that I wanted to have taken off . The nurses assistant left the room to go check for insurance and came back and told me that there was an issue saying that I had to have clearance for my primary care physician before I could come and get anything removed . I work for the insurance company that I use and I know what my coverage carries I was allowed up to five biopsies a year without question . I explained this to the nurse who was very polite by the way and she's told me to hold on and she would check again . Then comes in the fun part . In walks in this tall blonde woman that had this look on her face like here we go again someone else that knows more than me kind of attitude. I explained to her my concerns and assured her that I knew what my coverage carried because I work for the insurance company . She insisted that I was wrong she did not let me speak she was very rude and forceful . She told me that I would have to go to my primary care physician first then get a referral to come back to get any biopsies . I'm sorry but my primary care physician is in a mole expert they aren't trained in melanoma which is why I came to this business . At this point I feel like it was a money grab I had already paid $130 that day they wanted me to go to my primary care physician pay another $100 copay then come back and pay another $130 for them to remove what could be removed right then and there . Me and my husband both have since found other care. Its a bummer that one person can ruin a whole experience. Upon a little investigation on this woman and prior places shes worked its a common pattern of behavior. I wish Harris Dermatology all the best but definitely need to weed out the bad egg​
