All items locked , trailer hitch locked and away from street view. Someone from inside the facility was able to breach spaceplace security, go unnoticed for over an HOUR dismantling our locks, and drove out with our trailer 26 HOURS AFTER dropping it off in broad daylight. At the end of our vacation, we came to pick up our trailer and we're devastated to see another empty trailer in its place , and spaceplace's response was a shrug, and took no responsibility for our stolen items. Spaceplace after several days of requests, and police intervention with days of delay provided security footage, and details to police. They made us feel like this was OUR fault, they seemed more concerned with us telling our story to try to recover our items making them and their business look bad. The manager would not provide owner information for us to plead for swift action as every day that passed our items were further and further from recovery. This location is not safe or secure, and we hope no one ever has to go through what we have over last few weeks searching, pleading, and trying to get our things back and criminals caught.

They quoted us at a price that after negotiation was very competitive. The problem became that the price doubled with the hidden add-ons and miscellaneous charges that they added on the job. Here is the breakdown: Initial payment for services: $2,000 (company failed to complete move, didn't finish apartment clean, left behind bedroom furniture) Property destroyed by rat infestation: $2,500 (caused by company storing garbage near my belongings) Key replacement: $300 (company failed to return my car, house and mail keys) Additional storage costs and gauging: Stored my items in unauthorized storage unit, Apex Storage, and failed to obtain my permission to do so. They failed to place my name with Apex, and Apex denied me access to my belongings. The company withheld my property for weeks and I had to file a police report to track down my belongings and get them returned. When they were returned, extensive damage had occurred due to rats attracted by improperly stored garbage. Public records show the company was **dissolved** by the State of Utah during our transaction, and only reinstated after police involvement. The company has been unresponsive to my attempts to resolve this matter. Litigation pending ... warning ... they've branched into Idaho, beware Idaho!! This has been an expensive lesson. And then they showed up and did the exact opposite. They didn't even bother to wrap my furniture properly. My dresser and my nightstand were rolled out on a dolly with just a blanket draped over the top -- the entire bottom fully exposed and unprotected. I have photo evidence. This wasn't a mistake. This was how they operate. One of their movers was missing for half the move, and the rest of the crew took 30 minutes to drive across the street. Yes, literally across the street. The level of carelessness and unprofessionalism was beyond anything I've ever experienced. When I confronted them with proof, they first admitted the crew took shortcuts -- then quickly flipped the script and tried to claim that throwing a blanket over a piece of furniture is their "standard practice." That's not a standard -- that's pure negligence, and they had the nerve to defend it. They refused to take accountability. They denied the damage was their fault. And instead of making it right, they offered me a half refund and called it a "goodwill gesture." This company is a scam. They cut corners, gaslight customers, and hide behind empty policies when they're called out. Avoid 801 Moving Company like your furniture depends on it -- because it does. They were very responsive via Yelp DMs, showed up 20 minutes early, super friendly, and had the work done incredibly quick (within 90 minutes). I took my dog on a walk while they were moving things in and they left everything clean and neatly organized. Pricing was lower than most others I looked at, it started at 100/hr with a 2 hr minimum. Would definitely use again!
