Lost Over $5,000 Due to This Company!!!!…read more ***Review for atlasmovingcompany.co*** formerly atlasmovingcompany.com, in Utah I hired Atlas Moving Company in December 2025 and the experience cost me over $5,000 in total losses. Here is the breakdown: Initial payment for services: $2,000 (company failed to complete move, didn't finish apartment clean, left behind bedroom furniture) Property destroyed by rat infestation: $2,500 (caused by company storing garbage near my belongings) Key replacement: $300 (company failed to return my car, house and mail keys) Additional storage costs and gauging: Stored my items in unauthorized storage unit, Apex Storage, and failed to obtain my permission to do so. They failed to place my name with Apex, and Apex denied me access to my belongings. The company withheld my property for weeks and I had to file a police report to track down my belongings and get them returned. When they were returned, extensive damage had occurred due to rats attracted by improperly stored garbage. Public records show the company was **dissolved** by the State of Utah during our transaction, and only reinstated after police involvement. The company has been unresponsive to my attempts to resolve this matter. Litigation pending ... warning ... they've branched into Idaho, beware Idaho!! This has been an expensive lesson. I strongly recommend using a different moving company!!!

I gave them a final box count and we reviewed the photos of all my furniture. I agreed with their estimate which was 25% higher than what I wanted to pay. Before they arrived, I moved all of the 95 boxes out into the garage to help get the final cost down since they bill by the hour. The final cost was double my starting number. So they need to do some work to provide better estimates. But on the plus side, they were careful with my belongings and getting from the truck to my apartment on the 4th floor was quite the hike. After they left, I plugged my recliner in and it wasn't working. I looked underneath and found that two of the wires must have been tangled up with whatever it was that they used to move it, and the wires were stretched to the breaking point. The company sent 2 people over to see if they could fix it. Two hours later we abandoned the effort and they told me to give them a few days to see what they could do to make it right. In the end, they found a new recliner and let me sit on it and try it on for size. It is nice, it is new, and it reclines. So I said, fair enough. They had gone the extra mile, and gave me more than they were obligated to do per the contract ($0.60/lb). We agreed on a delivery date and Andrew showed up right on time and delivered my new recliner to my place and hauled away the chair (which is that you call a recliner that doesn't recline). The underestimated quote was a gross negligence for a company who states they are professional and do this everyday. You would think after giving them your full inventory, which they require, they would be better at their estimating. The actual bill was more than double their quote. They damaged many of our belongings, damaged the house we moved out of and damaged the place we moved into. Then when you file a claim, there are so many stipulations that if you do file a claim, you waive all your rights away! Like disputing the cost, you must have repairs approved beforehand, which when you sell a home, you cannot wait for an approval. Not a reputable company nor an honest company. DO NOT HIRE MIRACLE MOVERS!

They were very responsive via Yelp DMs, showed up 20 minutes early, super friendly, and had the work done incredibly quick (within 90 minutes). I took my dog on a walk while they were moving things in and they left everything clean and neatly organized. Pricing was lower than most others I looked at, it started at 100/hr with a 2 hr minimum. Would definitely use again!

I filed a police report for the disappearance of cherished high-value items, including heirlooms, and sentimental belongings. Beyond the financial implications, the loss of sentimental and personal belongings caused me significant distress and anxiety and I do not want anyone to have to go through that. The experience was traumatic and frustrating, particularly when they accuse me of lying. They do not want to file a claim so I am left feeling abused by them and the insurance company. I do not want anyone to experience what I have been through. It's awful.

I worked for a moving company for 8 years and know what it takes to make a smooth, professional…read moremove. We had all items packed and labeled according to what was in the box and specially labeled fragile where necessary. We had several glasses and heirloom China plates that were shattered that were in dish boxes, individually wrapped and in the own cell. We also had three different sizes of shrink wrap, two dozen moving pads and a couch cover. All of this was available for their use to protect the couch and chairs during the move and used the couch cover only when in the truck, never using it when moving it thus resulting in dirty hand marks all over. There was an inch square chunk broken off the inside arm from one of our chairs that had to have a heavy object fall on it, all of these damages could have been prevented if they would have been more professional. At my initial contact with David Rosier I did discuss insurance and the procedure for any damage, and he assured me that they never had any damage and were very careful and if there were any damage, he would take care of it. This was not even close to being true, he was combative had every excuse in the book that it was my fault. But what made me aware that he wasn't going to address any of my concerns to my satisfaction was when I brought up that I had paid for 3 men for 4 hours but actually had 2 men for 4 hours and should have a refund for the third man, what I got from him was they had to work harder and longer because of the missing third man and there would not be a refund. I would highly NOT recommend this company if you value your possessions.
