During the holidays they still had put up their xmas decorations which was nice. They have recently rented out part of the building to UofR medical offices so things will be much much different than in years past. Dicks sporting goods is still around, RPM speedway and Dave and busters are attractions located at the mall but have been shut down for to covid for almost a year now. I usually go to get my healthy steps in and not be in the cold. It's great in that regard .

But now all thats left in the mall is a JC penny's , Dave and busters and some other businesses that are open in the mall. The good part is that most of the mall would be repurposed for different types if jobs and retail Such as a hospital being constructed in the old Sears, a tile shop opening in the abandoned Maceys And also other building being repurposed/built around the mall.

The Pittsford Wegmans and Calkins Pittsford are the larger cleaner and fancier ones around. Right across from the wegmans there's this plaza called Pittsford Plaza that includes an upscale steak house called Blue and Black, a pizza shop, a cafe for sandwiches/coffee, a J Crew Warehouse, Carter's, Michael's, Barnes and Noble, Swim school, Trader Joes, and a bunch of other little shops all int he same parking lot. For moms looking for a place to take their young children in and out and hanging out, this is the place to go to! The parking lot isn't dangerous like the Costco parking lot or the East Ave Wegmans (VERY dangerous). The shoppers aren't aggressive and are friendly. The crowd is safe and overall happy. Right across from this plaza there's even a Taichi Bubble tea, prometric, URMC Urgent Care, and a bunch of other upscale restaurants.

It is a little confusing on how to enter the building, but once in, it is a great space. I love the artwork, and sculptures. This place was so surreal. We all lined up waiting behind a barrier for the next "drop". The people…read moreat the front kinda ran towards the bins when the barrier dropped and I think a bell even rang. There was a frenzy as they rushed through the goods plucking what seemed like trash (to my untrained eyes?) from the piles and choosing...a lot to keep. I wandered around looking at what must be the leftovers from the Goodwills? Surely? Anyways, we did find a brand new pair of L.L. bean boots somehow. That was weird overall and I couldn't wait to get out of there.
