I have been there 3 times in the last month to buy fire logs. Only once did a young man ask if he could help and carried the box of 12 out for me. Today I purchased 36, sliced my finger open while loading them into the cart, stood in line waiting while my finger dripped and finally the cashier called to the back to bring out a bandaid. The jerk that brought it out, big guy that has been there for years...didn't even offer to help with the logs. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Personally, I find The Home Depot and Lowes way too overwhelming and loud. At Lincoln Creek, I feel like I'm walking into the hometown hardware store that I went to with my dad as a kid. With a smiling greeting at the door, a "what can I help you with" attitude, and a friendly, good-natured personality ... Lincoln Creek has it down. Sure, their prices can be a wee bit higher than those mentioned above. However, the staff is very kind and helpful. They all know where items are and don't need to "call" anyone to figure out which aisle something is in. Their selection is pretty darn good for not being a big box store, with me finding pretty much everything I need at each visit. Sometimes they don't have what I need, but it's rare that I can't find an alternative. The best part of the store is Larry and the paint department. Larry is the paint master, being able to match colors perfectly and tinker with the formulas to make them work. They stock B. Moore which is even better. Lastly, they have a very large Lumber department in which you can find most anything that you need. The only section that needs some love and is routinely lacking is the garden/plant section. Their selection of plants, flowers, etc. is pretty sad. All in all though, Lincoln Creek is our first stop. I like it. The kids like it. It's a safe, good place to go. They will keep on seeing our faces there.

Today I went in there, chatting it up with Samantha (who was absolutely amazing btw) she showed us where their vegetables were & talked to us about our ducks. Went to pay & told them I'm using my dads credit card, they asked me for his social which I don't know off the top of my head and have never had to use it before. I told them I'd give him a call. Shannon started freaking out saying I was trying to steal (I was only buying dog food for my dads dogs) I told her I wasn't trying to steal dog food. Ended up paying is cash because Shannon was telling me I was lying and I was never allowed back. This was so weird and something I have never encounter before. We've bought all our feed from them and even livestock but we will never be back. Shannon was the worst type of human I have ever seen and she came at me and made me feel so uncomfortable for no reason. Just trying to buy dog food lol. The only reason they got two stars is because of Samantha. She really deserved all 5 but Shannon was so horrible to us that was ruined. I can't believe I was put in such an uncomfortable position trying to buys DOG FOOD. thank you to Samantha for trying to calm the situation you were so wonderful to us and I pray for you having to work with people so negative.

And by apolitical I mean he's not a Trump supporter, which makes it uncommonly pleasant to shop there. He and his wife Laura are pillars of the community and a fantastic resource about all things Mossyrock, and in fact they maintain a flyer with local numbers of various businesses of especial use to new residents. When I first moved here I don't know what I would've done without both the store and their list, and I shop there to this day, even when I could save a few pennies online. They hire fantastic employees who know what they're doing too. Best possible customer service. And if they don't have it in the store (though believe me it's downright amazing the breadth of inventory they have for such a small town) they can order anything you need quickly. Not only understaffed, but, the staff never acknowledges anyone. I was in last week, there were six people in line and one employee. He was going into great detail with the person at the counter. Not once did the clerk look up and say something like "Hey everyone, I'm all alone and doing my best. I'll be with you as soon as I can" anything would have been better than nothing at all. One person said "See, he must be used to this because he's acting like he can't even hear us". With zero exaggeration, I've been in this store at least six times and it's been the same every time!! At the price of paint and the volume of business, there's no way they can't afford more help. Maybe they don't realize that if they hired one more person, it could greatly increase their bottom line dollars. I really wish I didn't love their paint!
