Horrible customer service. These employees need to take lessons from the Walmart greeters and customer service lessons from The Farm Store. I have been there 3 times in the last month to buy fire logs. Only once did a young man ask if he could help and carried the box of 12 out for me. Today I purchased 36, sliced my finger open while loading them into the cart, stood in line waiting while my finger dripped and finally the cashier called to the back to bring out a bandaid. The jerk that brought it out, big guy that has been there for years...didn't even offer to help with the logs. UNBELIEVABLE!!! read more

The good folks at Lincoln Creek Hardware have helped to make them our go-to hardware store! We have always been a locally-preferred type of customer and tried to steer clear of the big box hardware stores whenever possible. Personally, I find The Home Depot and Lowes way too overwhelming and loud. At Lincoln Creek, I feel like I'm walking into the hometown hardware store that I went to with my dad as a kid. With a smiling greeting at the door, a "what can I help you with" attitude, and a friendly, good-natured personality ... Lincoln Creek has it down. Sure, their prices can be a wee bit higher than those mentioned above. However, the staff is very kind and helpful. They all know where items are and don't need to "call" anyone to figure out which aisle something is in. Their selection is pretty darn good for not being a big box store, with me finding pretty much everything I need at each visit. Sometimes they don't have what I need, but it's rare that I can't find an alternative. The best part of the store is Larry and the paint department. Larry is the paint master, being able to match colors perfectly and tinker with the formulas to make them work. They stock B. Moore which is even better. Lastly, they have a very large Lumber department in which you can find most anything that you need. The only section that needs some love and is routinely lacking is the garden/plant section. Their selection of plants, flowers, etc. is pretty sad. All in all though, Lincoln Creek is our first stop. I like it. The kids like it. It's a safe, good place to go. They will keep on seeing our faces there. read more

I was very shocked at the customer service I have received at this store in Centralia. I had been there before and received great service. I live in Chehalis and wont go to the one there, due to poor customer service. I have Home Depot very near to me. I like to support local smaller businesses. i needed no trespassing signs and other signs like the metal ones that state. Beware of owner or my house is secured by smith and wesson. So I called many stores to see if they had them. I called the one in Centrailia and the man assured to me that they had them he put me on hold to check. We there which took me 25 minutes due to traffic on Harrison back up from on ramp to the store. Got there and they didnt have what i was looking for. I was upset because they told me they had them. i bought the no trespassing signs. two clerks were very sorry for what happen. You make sure you have the product before telling the customer they have them. I told him i was coming from another town. When i went to purchase the signs. i said I guess my time and money arent werent anything. The cashier told me in a very mean way and stare. "I dont like your attitude " she was young and i was shocked on how no empathy to me for and the mistake they made to me. She needs to be stocking shelves and cleaning bathrooms. In my 40 years of Customer Service I had people screaming at me and I never was rude like that..You always take care of the customer and fix the problem. They have lost my business due to this cashier Donna I was told by a clerk. I go to places that give me good service period. They didnt even call the store in Chehalis to see if they had them. read more

This Lincoln Creek Hardware is the Best! We've been shopping here for over 30 years and can't remember a poor experience. My husband and I have remodeled 3 houses with the help of Lincoln Creek Lumber. I usually try Lincoln Creek first for plumbing and electrical parts. We both really appreciate the excellent customer service. They greet you, offer to help, and always know where the item is located that you're looking for - so you can get in and out. Then they have housewares and items you wouldn't find in other places - so it's also a great hardware store to explore when you have more time! Although it's not a huge box store - there's always an excellent chance they have what you're looking for. read more

Without going onto too much detail, I rate Lincoln Creek- ACE Hardware 5 Stars for their ability to make continuous improvements and advancements keeping up with technology (and classic) hardware as related to home ownership and maintenance and repair part including landscaping equipment. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and non-judgenental when I walk in with odd or inexperienced questions. They sell a wide range of items so you get a lot in one trip. I enjoy just walking up and down the isles even after finding what I came for. The best part was finding out from friends that I could buy BLACK RIFLE COFFEE at Lincoln Creek- Ace Hardware. They are very patriotic and Veteran friendly! read more

I needed a plumbing item so stopped in as Ace is close to my house. I know next to nothing about the mystery's of plumbing so knew I'd need a place with good customer service. I went in with a dishwasher hose draped around my neck and proceeded to wander the store. Saw 3 employees in various stages of 'cleaning' which is good, a tidy store is nice but they completely ignored me. It was 5:30 on a weekday so maybe they were anxious to get off of work? I finally gave up and as I was walking out the door the young cashier asked if I needed help. While I appreciate the late offer and yes, I could have tracked someone down I just wasn't in the mood to chase after employees that had no desire to be of help. I left and went to Home Depot and purchased my items. I try to frequently smaller stores and will even pay more but only if I receive good customer service. Ace, if you want us to shop with you and not the big chain stores you need to give superior customer service otherwise you'll lose us to the big stores. read more

I wish I could rate this place with zero stars. Worst customer service. No greeting or asking how hey can help. I wandered the store for 15 minutes looking for someone before I called the store from my cell for help. It's places like this that make going to a bigger chain store easier. It's worse that this place is so convenient in location for materials though. Hope they all get retrained or fired. read more

I go there because it's convenient, but be prepared for higher than normal prices. I've never had a problem with customer service though.

These guys are SO nice! I love going here. So helpful and never condescending. I love going here for all my hardware needs. It might be a bit more expensive than Home Depot but the hometown Mr. friendlies and personal service is worth it! read more

Went here today with two buddys of mine, moment we parked an employee came out and gave us a look before going back inside. When we entered the store the same employee decided to follow us all through the store (not even 3-5 feet behind us where we could hear him breathing). We were doing nothing wrong or suspicious, just taking a look, and when one of us decided to go down another aisle he called another employee to watch them. Followed us until we left, not coming here again if this is how they treat potential customers. read more

I just had the worst experience today with the customer service the manager and cashier were not helpful,rude ,using profanity ,and ignored me today I will never go to that store again and will let everyone know about my experience ace hardware sucks. And yes I called them assholes when leaving because I have never been treated like this before especially a retail store, I was trying to buy an item listed for sale online $19.99 but listed in store for 31$, staff proceeded to tell me I couldn't get that price today I would have to order from web site and wait 3 days especially on holiday. Staff continued to ignore me so I called head quarters and spoke to customer service and explained the situation, the rep was also confused on why I couldn't get that item today. She offered to call store to tell them to accommodate online price. 20 minutes later went back into store and was approached by cashier who stated I would of helped you but you called us assholes and kicked me out of the store,,, doesn't make sense, so I ordered the item off line from tumwater store and was able to pick up today, please do not support this store they are not a place to shop maybe if you don't have pigmented skin it will be ok to shop there ,,DO NOT SHOP HERE read more

My first time in this Ace Hardware I remember thinking about the "Helpful hardware man" that I have often seen advertised on T.V. Boy was I wrong about that. My few minutes in the store was very uncomfortable. No one would help me and when I asked a question of one employee he was incredibly rude. I left that store and went straight to Home Depot and was greeted at the front door with smiling faces and helpful attitudes. Prior to Christmas I went to Lincoln Creek or Ace Hardware to have a key made for a Kia Soul. I work three jobs to make ends meet and I am on a very difficult schedule. The first day I went in, there was no one in the store that knew how to determine if they could actually make the key and requested me to come back at a different time. I was able to get back to the store about a week later. That time, there was a gentleman working that had knowledge of the programmed keys and he let me know that they could order the blank key and give me a call when it came in. I received the call and went to have the key programmed and when I went in to the store I was told that there is no one available that knows how to program a key and that the machine to program the keys is not working. Now I ask, whey can't they have the hours posted to indicate when it is possible to have a key programmed for customer convenience? I have been a long time customer at this store but will never step foot in this store again. They have the worst customer service and management of any store I have ever encountered. Lost another customer due to poor customer service! I have referred many others to Lincoln creek for items my store does not carry but will not be doing that again. These guys and ladies are great! Actually found most of their prices are better the HD and Lowes, I go here whenever I need hardware or lumber because it is local, family owned and they have great prices...rarely do they not have what i need it's not any trouble to go to the big guys, but they're always knowledgeable and helpful. My wife won't go anywhere else. read more
