We had new floors installed in our entire house. It was a 2 month wait, but once things got moving the company they contracted with (MDT) exceeded our expectations! They arrived on the date stated, and would communicate with us each day what the daily goals were. The men stayed each day until they met their goal. The crew was extremely respectful, honest and knowledgeable in their field. The prep work and installation was done masterfully and to perfection. Our job was not an easy one, as it's an old house with all of the old house quirks. They had to remove a bunch of challenging tile and ensure the floor was level. It was HARD work, and they did it all with smiles on their faces. The energy they brought to the work site each day was truly positive. They even finished a day early! My guard was up due to our other recent contractor experiences that were sub-par at best, but they quickly broke down my barriers, and I was truly sad to see these nice young men go. I would recommend this team of people to others without hesitation. read more

Okay, so it's been a while since I've written a review but the Excellent Customer service we received today was absolutely Above and Beyond! First off, Home Depot in Chehalis must be the happiest Home Depot I've ever walked in! Smiling faces from everyone. We were on the hunt for the globe Electric LED dinosaur lamp, we checked online and saw that they had 8 left. When we got to the store, they didn't have them on the shelf but the young man that worked there, his name was JOSE, asked if we were looking for something (yeah we looked lost) He checked and noticed that they came in today and he went to check! He came back with a box and handed one over! He made my daughter so happy and his customer service was 5 Star! Above and beyond! From now on when I need anything from Home Depot, this will be the store I shop at! Overall one of the best experiences I had in a hardware store, and I'm in the middle of remodeling my house, so what does that tell you! Thank you Home Depot Chehalis! Don't waste your time here. They don't stock enough items, cannot deliver due to their vehicle being broken for weeks, don't have ANY washer or dryers for sale in stock, won't sell floor models, I could go on and on. Lowes can though in longview. Take the additional drive to Longview, save the headache of this poorly run store. read more

Really impressed with customer service here. I ordered on line some items and one of them was on back order and not available for pick up. I was at the store so I asked to cancel since I would not be back there for a while. Sharon tried to cancel but obviously was not successful as Home Depot then delivered to my house without charge. It was still on Sharon's radar and to ensure it was closed she called several days later to confirm that I received the order. read more

Terrible customer service, there's ALWAYS a line in the customer service area because they never seem to open the return area, you have to tackle someone to get assistance, and (when you finally get someone) they are rude when you "interrupt" them from their stocking duties. It is an unfortunate pain to simply walk through these doors. read more

Horrible appliance return policy. I would not advise anyone to purchase appliances from Home Depot. They have a 48-hour return policy and will not budge on it. You should have appliance repair expertise in order to identify any defect in your purchase quickly, otherwise you're flat out of luck. They sold us a defective refrigerator and expected us to identify the problem in the fan/cooling motor during those 48 hours. Since the freezer was working terrifically and shooting cool air into the fridge, we had no idea the fan motor was defective. About a week later, ice dams built inside and the cool air stopped coming into the fridge so we returned to Home Depot to get some answers. When my husband questioned the salesman about this, he said we should have known the fan was broken. Now I don't know about you, but I had no idea I was supposed to go into the back workings of my fridge to examine the fan motor and the channels from which the air flows through. (The manufacturer's repairman agreed with us on this. He had to come out twice to get our fridge working over the holidays. It wasn't fun going without a fridge with my two very small toddlers who still wake up in the middle of the night for bottles of milk.) So they would not allow us to return the fridge for an identical model or pay extra for an upgrade, even though only 30 days had passed. My husband had just arrived home from an 8-month military deployment in a combat zone when the fridge stopped working. We decided to buy three brand new appliances from Chehalis, WA Home Depot at that time. The contractors they hired to deliver the appliances told some possible lies and blamed the miscommunication on Home Depot. Home Depot blamed it on the contractors and directed us to keep calling them. A reputable business should go after its hired contractors if they have poor customer service or lack the skills necessary to assemble a product accurately. We weren't informed that said contractors would not install the dishwasher. They said Home Depot had to figure that out. Home Depot said the contractors had to arrange that. The contractors told us an electrician or a plumber could install it, but Home Depot did not support the notion that an electrician could hook the darn thing up. The fridge was not installed correctly but my husband tried his best to fix it himself, rather than get in-touch with the contractor from Renton or Everett or somewhere by Seattle, and wait two weeks for them to come back to fix what they had done. In any case, we are taking our business elsewhere from now on. Not just appliances but everything related to home repair, remodeling, etc. Our family, friends and co-workers in the area are equally outraged at how we were treated with the refrigerator issue. They will probably think twice before supporting the business also. read more

I purchased a fridge and gas stove, found the appliance dept to be very helpful and friendly. I was really happy to find that I saved an extra 10% for buying multiple appliances. Saved me $200!! Had to wait 1.5 weeks for delivery but it was free (Sears had a $75 delivery charge). 2 fellows showed up on time, also nice and efficient. Bat took time to explain how everything was hooked up and answered questions I had. Nice experience. Note to H.D.- You have really nice cashiers, get rid of those crappy self-checkout lines. You want more interaction with your customers, not less. read more

I will no longer shop at the Chehalis store ever again. I keep thinking that they will hire staff that care about what they do and the customer but there are only one or two employees that care. I waited in line at customer service and when it was my turn, the girl did not acknowledge me or at the least say "I will be with you in a moment. Instead she ignored me and made an anouncement over the phone. Went in for insulation and again not a single acknowledgement. When you ask a question more time than not you get " I don't know'. Is the employment pool that bad or does management need looking into. Now I know why brick and mortor stores are closing. read more

If you buy a dishwasher or washing machine extended warranty, please note that water damage to your floors is not covered. The third most common failure on a dishwasher is the door seals. Guess what happens then, water on the floor most likely. Asurion doesn't mention "WATER" in the warranty so you can't pick up on the fact that there is no coverage. read more

I asked the cashier if I would be able to get help loading 15. 80 pound concrete bags in my trailer and she called someone and told me it would be about 5 minutes before someone would be able to help me I was like ok but then the person behind me about the same age asked for help loading 10 sheets of osb and he got help right after I got done loading The 15 bags that took me about 45 minutes to load do to having a bad back and dealing with a hernia there was still yet no one to be found Thanks for the help Home Depot read more

As many employees this store has it is like pulling teeth to find help. Been back in the flooring department for a good half an hour trying to get assistance to cut blinds. But the two employees at the computer cannot be bothered to come help, instead they say that another associate will be here after he gets off lunch.. yet they are flooring department employees. I guess the home depot method is to Ignore customers and just hope they go away or figure it out on their own. read more

As new home owners we come here a lot. They are always friendly.. The customer service is great and they are very helpful. What they don't have they will find online and have ordered, or they will direct us to somewhere that does have what we are looking for. They are also very knowledgeable when it comes to giving us tips for our various home projects. It's always a good experience and I even call it our second home since we go there so much... hah! read more

I purchased a pressure washer on line. Double checked to make sure it would be sent to the right store. I pulled into the curb side pick up, called the number they provided (no way to enter the extension they provided) got transferred, for transferred, got transferred again. Finally someone answers. Lady told me someone would be out. About 40 minutes later a young man took my order. Turns out my order was shipped to Spokane. Called Spokane to very, they verified. Went into the store to get a refund or see if they had one in stock. Only waited a minute or two. So, this is where it gets bad. The lady waved at me very aggressively, she appeared to be annoyed(I was not on my phone). When I get up there I explained my circumstances, she looked it up and said "It's been picked up already ". I said, "I haven't picked it up". I told her that I called the store to see if it was there. She then again told me, "it says it's been picked up". By now I'm already irritated, my orginal delivery date was pushed back 2 days . I said, "well, I'm telling you that I have not picked it up", she was very rude to me. Wouldn't get a manager, I felt like she was accusing me of stealing it. She then called the other store and in less then 1 minute I had a refund. When I called the other store back to verify my refund, they told me that if the cashier would of looked a little bit closer she would of noticed that the notes said refunded, for wrong delivery. She had absolutely no customer service. She was very rude. I told her; Because of how she was treating me (body language, facial expressions and tone of voice) I will never use this store again. I understand that everyone has bad days. As a customer, who was already dealing with issue after issue and holding my composure; I should not have to deal with that. read more

Very disappointed in the customer service. We recently (mid-2018) purchased several thousand dollars worth of major appliances here. Paid an additional fee for installation. The installers caused damage to our home. Had to actually go to the store twice to get a refund for our appliance that was damaged during shipping. Was yelled at by a store manager. I would recommend Lowes in Olympia if you need a big-box hardware store. read more

If you want to go insane, try placing an order with these folks. I spent over an hour in the store just purchasing some lumber and a door that I'd already picked out. To arrange delivery fully involved the efforts of 4 or 5 employees and 3 departments. Individual employees apparently aren't allowed to make decisions. So, after spending nearly $500 dollars, I had to pay $87 to get my stuff delivered over a week later. After the truck showed up and delivered, I noticed everything wasn't there. I called the store and they informed me some items hadn't been in stock. This, after they said they'd delay the truck until the items were in) I asked why they hadn't called me -- silence. Employees are generally friendly but, the pro desk (or the whole store) apparently doesn't have anyone who knows plumbing or carpentry. Save yourself time and sanity. There are other big box stores who aren't so dysfunctional. read more

9 weeks for 600 sq ft if carpet is unacceptable. Such a small job but HD had 4 different people / departments handling it. Lack of communication between them all was ridiculous. Romanoff was the installer...not any good to say sbout them either. The night before they were coming we ended up calling them to confirm that they were actually going to be there. They had our old address for the install site. We corrected them and gave the new address......guess were they ended up going the next morning. Thats right ! .....annoying! Definitely will be using small local company next time for our carpet and install. read more

Do not buy any flooring from the Home Depot Chehalis store. You will pay full price for a flooring product with a 7 day install guarantee and 14 day later they'll tell you. " Your flooring will be installed in 6 weeks. There is nothing we can do to help resolve this situation ". They over promise and under deliver. I usually have good experiences at other Home Depots but tonight I was very dissapointed. We purchased wood blinds, spending a couple hundred dollars, and accidentally left the hardware for one set of blinds, after having them cut, in the cart when we left. I called in and asked if they had been turned in and the lady on the phone informed me they hadn't. I then told her where they might be and she proceeded to just continue to inform me they hadn't been turned in. She didn't have anyone check and didn't take my name and number in case they were turned in. We were very upset and since our blinds were usless without the hardware we drove s half an hour back in and found it ourselves. I've never received such poor customer service before. read more

where do I start, purchased 14 gallons of paint 12 of the Marquis because we were talked into upgrading because it's one coat coverage guaranteed, which is $10 more a gallon than the bahr plus. live quite a distance away, had to make a trip back because one can was not shaken....spray painted, did not cover in one coat, and cancer not appear to be shaken well enough. spoke to the store manager James, & a bahr representative. made another trip back to replace 12 gallons, went to paint the next night only to find out that 4 gallons were the wrong color. this point trading out the cans of paint isn't enough so after much discussionwe werent reimbursed the cost of 8 gallons of paint for our trouble and given the correct color of the four gallons. we rolled outour second paintjob of the four gallons only to discover this morning that the color doesn't match the first color it's actually a bit darker and a bit more blue rather than silver. contacted the store manager Chad in Tumwater because I didn't want to deal with James and Chehalis again,of course they're all really sorry for the trouble but not really willing to go the extra mile, at this point I don't really care to compensate us for having to paint our house a third time. so I filed a complaint with the district managers office and I await the outcome there. read more
