Reposting my review that I also just made on Google. I'll be honest, I was shocked to see as many 1--3 star reviews for this place. I get it - it's a little pricy outside of waiting for the $1 bagels between 12pm-1pm - but holy schikies the quality is amazing. The bagels themselves - all 10/10. The schmears are insanely good - the basil schmear literally blew my mind. I didn't know a schmear could taste that refreshing. The cucumber sandwich - incredible - never would have thought bagel, with cream cheese and cucumber could be THAT good. Sure - it's a bit pricy pre-12pm (but what placing selling real food with real ingredients isn't these days!) spent $40 on a sandwich, bagel with butter and bagel with the fermented jalapeno schmear - but sorry not sorry - still worth it. All these cry babies in these lower reviews complaining about how the bagel they wanted was no available - it's because they are that good. Sorry - you snooze you lose. Get up earlier, preorder if you want it that bad. To the owners of Starship Bagel - hope you guys never sell out (well keep selling our of product so you stay in business yes) but you know not sell out to big mega food corps, and keep doing what you're doing. People need more food establishments making food out of actual real ingredients - not the slop bucket artificial BS that 99% of any other chain bagel shop is going to use. Just look up what Einstein puts in their highly processed schmere's, it's trash and it tastes like it too. Zero chance if they put out a basil schmere that it wouldn't be chock full of artificial junk - just look up the their strawberry schmere on Instacart - ingredients include: Maltodextrin (filler, usually corn based), Modified Food Starch (likely where the bioengineered junk is coming from as noted under the ingredients), Natural Flavor (God only knows where the hell that came from), Guar Gum (a soluble fiber derived from the ground endosperm of guar beans - not something I want in my schmere), Color (almost get a pass except they state they use Caramel which is usually an artificial / petrol base colorant that is not good for you), Carob Bean Gum (plant-based thickening agent and stabilizer - still don't want it), Xantham Gum (produced by fermenting sugar with the bacteria Xanthomonas campestris), and then lastly Natamycin (natural antifungal preservative produced by bacteria -Streptomyces natalensis - something you really want to eat much of?). I'm tired of fake food, that tastes like cardboard. That lacks any nutritional value. We should celebrate when new companies come out like this - and not only that - but they offer their bagels at $1 if they have any left over after 12pm. These people deserve a block party in their honor for producing such high quality products - that yes - those unwilling to wait till 12pm whose selections might be more limited - will have to pay a bit more. People who recognize quality and hard working people will continue to come here. Last note, if you're trying to avoid seed oils, soybean lecithin / soybean oil - this is also a great place for you - and its one of the few places my wife can actually eat at since 99% of places in the USA these days, even the ones you think are higher quality - use trash ingredients with soy as a base - these guys do not. For that I say thank you again - to the owners of Starship Bagel. You guys rock - don't listen to the winey cry baby haters. read more

Been wanting to try Starship but it just never aligned. They've opened a few locations outside of the core city. In a very deserted / random strip mall in Lewisville... It was semi busy on a weekend morning. There's a variety of bagels and a variety of cream cheese. Got the millennial falcon ($10.25) which is basically avocado toast on a bagel. you choose the bagel type and the schmear you want. You can choose 2 different schmears. Both the basil and jalapeno were good. I liked it.. pricing is what you would expect. They don't have all the sandwich options like Shug's. But I don't think they're trying to do that. They have a lox bagel sandwich ($14), regular lox and bagel ($12). A regular bagel + schmear will run $5. Personally I'm not crazy about bagels. So it did the trick for me. read more

In my never-ending search for the best NYC bagel in DFW, this ex-New Yorker came in with high hopes, especially since this spot recently won a NYC bagel competition. We arrived around 10:30 am, which I realize is not exactly crack-of-dawn bagel time when everyone is grabbing their carb-loaded fuel before work. As an ex-New Yorker, I have my favorite bagel flavors, but my number one priority is simple: is it warm? Sadly, I was told there were no warm bagels, so I settled for a poppy bagel with the new lemon cream cheese. The cream cheese was fantastic. No notes. Seriously, it was great. The bagel itself was fine. My bigger issue was the service and the missed opportunity. The place was not crowded at all, maybe seven people inside. After we sat down waiting for our order, I noticed a guy in the back literally baking bagels and moving fresh, hot bagels into bins. HOT BAGELS, people. Would it have killed someone to walk 30 feet and offer me one fresh off the line? I had already mentioned it was my first time there and how much I love a warm bagel. I totally understand they cannot do this for every single customer all day long, but when it is quiet and someone is clearly excited about your product, that little extra effort can make a huge difference in customer retention. I worked in customer service my entire life, and I always believed in going the extra mile when you can - "accomodating when you can be" is a great customer service motto! I really wanted to love this place, and I appreciate what they are doing, but at this point my bagel loyalty may be heading toward PopUp Bagels. (And I have love for Dan's too.) read more

Great service, funky little joint, beloved by the neighborhood. Prices in person are really high. You only get the online prices if you order before noon the day before. A dozen bagels and a rub of cream cheese will set you back $31. Ordering the day before it'll be $24 Einstein's is $19.75 for 13 bagels and 2 tubs of cream cheese and I didn't taste much of a difference. The lox and fresh veggie options are good but they don't have breakfast sandwiches here. James Beard Award and DDD visits are great but not sure that justifies a $5 price tag for a bagel & schmear and jumping through hoops to order so they know what kind of bagels to make and how many staff they need read more

Definitely lived up to its accolades!!! Best Bagels for a reason!!! A warm welcoming atmosphere that's cozy yet open, super friendly staff/service and great tasting coffee n bagels!! Shoutout to Bianca and Kat!!! I told them it was a first experience for me and they gave me everything I needed to know! I went with the Millennial Falcon (Guys Pick) w the Basil Spread - which is the Schmear of the Year!! OMG! SooOoooo gooood!!!! Light but juicy and fresh, the pickled onions were a great add on as well! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS!!! I am from New Jersey, where there are two food groups, Bagels and Pizza. I drove from Frisco to check this place out. I bought a dozen to freeze as I did not want to have to drive back in the near term. My first reaction was the bagel is good but not great. My second bagel was a tuna sandwich. My opinion changed. My adult son and I agreed that the bagels are exceptional. He made bagels as a high school student at The Bagel Depot in Ramsey New Jersey. So, I will drive there again when we finish the dozen. I had the Millennial Falcon with the basil schmear, and it everything I had hoped for. I haven't had that many sprouts since before Jimmy John's quit serving them for a while. Excellent bagels! Came here due to outstanding reviews we saw online. We came around 8 am, and there was already a long line. By the time I ordered my bagel only cinnamon raisin was left. Cute little shop that's a little bit hidden. My buddy and I came here on a whim and I'm glad. It's a hidden gem for sure. One of the most delicious cute little bagel shops in Downtown area. Super great crunchy with just the right chewy/soft texture. They taste fresh and the schmear options and flavors are beautiful. I'm a big fan of their options for bagels as well. The service was great, quick, but still patient and they really heard what we needed. My buddy got my friends and I a dozen. Super delicious flavors. When I found out this location was down the street I decided to see what the "Best Bagel of 2025" tasted like. After all, a bagel is a bagel right? WRONG! I think what made the bagel better for me is the schmear! I had the fermented jalapeño kind and they generously apply it. (Don't let the word fermented scare you, there was no weird taste and if anything the jalapeño heat was not present). For me a bagel is often just a method of eating cream cheese without eating it out of the tub. Much like a tortilla chip is a salsa holder. But anyway I also tried a bagel and lox for the first time. Visually it never appealed to me. It looked messy and odd. But I figured I'm 50 years old now, weird stuff is better to me now! While it DID taste good, it wasn't great to me. I'm sure that's more of a preference than a reflection of their quality so don't take my word on that one! But I also considered that it made my bagel and cream cheese indulgence less guilt ridden since salmon is such a "superfood". Also the addition of tomato, red onion, and capers felt equally "healthy". At a cost of $16 though I would not order it again. As for the service, the online ordering process was easy, pickup was easy, but when I got home I discovered they did not put the lox on my bagel. Luckily I'm 5 min away but who wants to bag stuff up and drive back to a restaurant on a Sunday morning no matter how close by?? They quickly remade my bagel & lox and gave me 2 coupons for a free bagel & schmear so for that they get their points back lol. Many restaurants don't bother to "make it right" when they make a mistake that inconveniences a customer so for them to do that says a lot. I will recommend it to people as it is way better than Einstein or a store bought bagel! Just a very quick review. The exterior crust on the everything bagel is exceptional. Their schmears, namely the fermented jalapeño and scallion are perhaps the best schmears I've ever had. I ordered the millennial falcon and the flavors were definitely there. The thing is, I asked for it toasted, and maybe it was or maybe it wasn't, the point is I couldn't tell if it was. The bagel, for me, was so dense, thick, and chewy, I could feel the calorie burn in my jaw lol. I know some people like em that way, but I like mine more on the thinner and crisper side. I live in Boston where we have great bagels. We're visiting my husband's family in Denton, and friends told us about Starship Bagel. Well!! This is a great place! I arrived around 9:45am with my list, which included 3 cinnamon raisin bagels. They were out of them but were making more if I'd like to wait 10-15 minutes. For warm bagels? Yessss!!! They have a nice variety of bagels and cream cheese flavors. And the bagels are delicious, genuine, bagels. But best of all was the guy who was helping customers. He greeted everyone with a big smile and a warm welcome. He seemed very happy to be there, and I loved seeing that. He's doing an excellent job, and I hope he's recognized for that. We will return to Starship Bagel whenever we're here! read more

Being a native New Jerseyian, I have very high standard for bagels. I stopped in one afternoon while craving a piece of home and man did it HIT. It is not exactly the same, but pretty good for being hundreds of miles from home. I came back again to have my husband try it with me and the second experience was not as good. When I heard that this Dallas based bagel spot beat out NYC for best bagel, I had to check it out. Here's what I found. The bagels are very tasty, truly good bagels, no complaints. What I would've enjoyed are more choices, there was not an egg bagel option and I feel that's a staple bagel. They had three bagel sandwich's to choose from, Lox (classic), cucumber and schmear (ok, high tea feels) and what felt like a hippy, free for all, sprout adorned, peace lovin' bagel. Would've enjoyed a nice Taylor ham and egg breakfast option. Any breakfast option in fact. The locations are all a drive from my location, but I recommend stopping in if you're in the area of one of their DFW locations. The Everything bagel was my favorite. read more

Very good and fresh bagels! Stopped in since I had heard a lot about the bagels here and wanted to give them a try. I had the Supernova Lox and as others mentioned it is almost perfection. The challenge is that it could use more schmear and the bagel itself seems a bit in the undersized side. All ingredients were very fresh which was great. My main concern with this restaurant is how long it took to get my bagel. I placed my order around 10:45am and it took over 25 minutes to receive. It was something specific to the Lox orders as the other orders after me were going out quite quickly. I would definitely give Starship Bagels another try! Usually, the quality of the bagels and schmears is fantastic. However, the past two times I went there, it seems they overcooked the bagels. I understand bagels are supposed to be hard on the exterior of course but the last two visits resulted in a disappointing product. No complaints about the flavor but wish somebody would mind the oven a little more closely. We had to throw the bottom half away because it was literally borderline cement. This place is pretty cool! You can watch them make the bagels in the back and they have a fun little truck just sitting there with supplies inside! Both hubby and I got zatar bagels with veggie smear. Delish! I'm a dipper though so they made mine extra toasty per request and put my smear on the side. The food is excellent, but the staff seems kinda unwilling to work with customers. I ordered a bagel and I had a simple request. I wanted the rind cut off the cucumbers before they were added to my bagel. The cashier said they couldn't. How hard can it be to take a few seconds to cut the rind off a cucumber? ! I would think that if someone is paying $14 for just one bagel sandwich, they could accommodate a small request. I th4n asked for the cucumbers on the side and they were OK with that. I have a new addiction. It's Starship Bagel. The vibe is amazing; the service is always kind. They offer a discount to educators that I didn't even ask for, added it because I had a badge. Super generous and kind. My go to is the Za'atar bagel (perfectly seasoned, perfect texture, rivals NYC bagels from Liberty Bagel which held the prize as my absolute favorite until I found Starship by my work) with the garden veggie schmear. Paired with a vanilla lavender iced latte and you have the best comfort meal/snack for a hard day at the grind. Go get a bagel. Now. Here. It's the best. read more
