TJ's is the place to get finished foods and snacks, it's not the place to shop if you have a family. It's great for if you live alone or only feed 2 people. They have all the latest food trends and high quality products. Prices are good. Service is excellent. Layout is good. Prices are good compared to California (home for me). It's quite small compared to other locations in California and Chicago where I spend most of my time in. It's a great compliment to Cox, Zion, Las Colinas for the specialized markets. HEB, Market Street and Tom Thumb for major grocers and Whole foods for the bougie health focused. I"m too much of a foodie to come here on a regular basis, but for those that don't want the fuss of cooking for themselves or others it's a great place with it's own place in the area despite Coppel being a family suburb.

Insanely rude employee named Lori. She didn't bother to help when I asked for help and she had a scowl on her face the entire time. So bad!

It was a little out of the way, but we love having the Quorn Roast for the holidays. The store was clean and easy to navigate. I loved seeing how the employees greeted customers by name and even hugged them! It was such a family-type atmosphere and was very welcoming. I will definitely return!

I asked her if she could help me thinking we would meet as I got to the registers. Instead she said yes and I was put in a position where I needed to talk much louder than I felt comfortable. I asked if she could come a little closer and she reluctantly took a few steps. Now I feel as if there's something wrong with me so she didn't want to get to close. I said never mind and found another employees who could be helpful. When I went back to self check out she got behind me and I felt watched. We instinctively know when we're being watched. So I got all my things and went to the line. This clerk was also talking a bit loud. I told him I may not have brought enough. He immediately started telling me what the bill total. I tried interrupting because he was going tell everyone in the front my situation. I said the dogs may have to wait for their treat. I asked him to ring it up last. He was talking while I was explaining so he may not have heard me. Unfortunately the bill did go over and I needed to take something off. While looking I noticed the dogs treats were rung up. I repeated what I said earlier. He corrected me by telling me I didn't say that. I'm irritated at this point so I correct him. We both left it alone. I found him to be a courteous and professional. It just wasn't okay to tell me I didn't say something. You're basically calling me a liar. He could be a little more aware of how his voice carries when dealing with sensitive situations.

Winco was new to me and while not related to WinDixie it has a range of basic and affordable house brands as well as name brands. with a good produce section. I'm not sure about the meet dept but it looked clean, well organized and stocked. I was there for bread and eggs and left with two heavy and tightly packed bags of food for under $50. I won't be hitting the HEB at dawn/ 7AM anymore to beat the crowds, I'll do Winco once a month when I wake up early at 4AM and can get there from Plano with zero traffic and red lights. They have better prices on a lot of things than Walmart and certainly than Kroger. If your grocery bill is exploding the last year or two try shopping here at least once a month. Best part was the checker said they are an employee owned company which is a huge plus to me over over these chains that are gouging people over profits on food and staples while not giving any benefits because they mostly staff with part timers. Did you know that Kro-ger made $1.24 BILLION PROFIT in 4Q25, that was in 3 months of the 2025 year. Search for Kro-ger 2025 profit and you can see the SEC report!!

The options at HEB are always fantastic so I made the drive out to Plano. I'm really ready to start an OnlyPans for the broads who can't and I don't mean one recipe or twelve, you better be able to make anything in existence (and I'm talking every cuisine, every item imaginable) from scratch - PERIOD. It's funny having recently relocated to TX and people sharing bars with me. Honey, as much as I love a great marg and some brown liquor idgaf about a bar - point me to your best grocery stores. I'm still obsessed with H-E-B, every time I walk through the door I fall in love all over again. I'm in very serious relationships with Eatzi's and Central Market as well but H-E-B just won't fall off. They are on their shi* in a real way. I wandered in today because I wasn't able to secure my garnish for dinner and needed some fresh parsley. I was dehydrated from a trail run in 86 degrees and 30mph winds in November and the wine stations just hit! One after another, all over. I mean I'm not loving my relocation but the way TX takes drinking seriously is very much aligned with the way I take drinking seriously. I walked here, so I was ready to help myself to every tasting station they had, in every dept. I mean tastings in the produce section, tastings in the bakery, tastings in the dry goods - LA needs to bump up their grocery store tastings and get on this level. A grocery store wine tasting is really a beautiful thing. I can't rave about this location anymore than I already have. I am head over heels. I fill my Rx's here, floral is outstanding, balloons lovely, bakery superb, prices on meats unreal. Holiday items always on point. There's not more I can say. I am a huge fan. H-E-B meets my needs in a real way, but of course I still must dabble at all of my other spots because they do too ;) LOVE this store, one of the very few places I will miss dearly when I depart from 75024.
