I came in specifically because I wanted fresh, brick oven-style pizza and did not want chain-style pizza. I ordered the Pandora pizza from the menu because it was advertised with pepperoni, tomato, and fresh mozzarella. That detail mattered to me. I intentionally chose that specialty pizza instead of building my own because fresh mozzarella has a very different taste and quality than the standard low-moisture shredded cheese used on many pizzas. When the pizza came out, it did not taste or look like fresh mozzarella was used. It tasted more like a frozen or chain pizza, which was exactly what I was trying to avoid. When I asked the waiter about it, I was told they did not have fresh mozzarella, even though the menu clearly advertised it. After going back and forth, the server brought out different cheeses, including what appeared to be fresh mozzarella, which only made the situation more confusing. They then remade the pizza with burrata, but it was not properly prepared. The burrata was just placed on top in cold/lukewarm globs and was not melted into the pizza. It was not appetizing and did not resolve the issue. The service got worse from there. After I raised the issue, the waiter stopped coming back to the table. The owner ended up bringing out the additional items I ordered, including dessert. When the bill came, they tried to charge me for both pizzas even though the first pizza was the result of their menu/service issue and was still sitting on the table. I had to push back to have it removed, and the response felt dismissive and unpleasant, as if I was wrong for speaking up. My issue is not that mistakes happen. My issue is that the menu advertised fresh mozzarella, the pizza did not reflect that, the replacement was poorly executed, and the service response made me feel like a problem instead of a returning customer with a valid concern. For pizza specifically, I would not recommend it. If the quality is going to taste like chain pizza, I may as well go to Papa John's, Pizza Hut, Ledo's, or Little Caesars and pay accordingly.

This was the first time we had visited this restaurant. We went for the AYCE snow crab legs and steamed shrimp special on Saturdays. My husband had the AYCE and I ordered off the menu. Everything was absolutely delicious! I had a quad seafood meal broiled. But I have to say the service was the best you could get! You didn't have just one server. Whoever walked by your table and noticed you were out of something or needed something they did it. And not once did my husband have to ask for more crabs. Before he could finished his plate they brought him another plate of crab legs. Before he ran out of his drink, they brought a refill. When a table left, whoever noticed they started cleaning it, whether it was their table or not. If a restaurant ever wanted to train their staff on how to provide exceptional service and work as a team, they should see these servers and imitate them. Now, the ambiance was quaint. And they played 50's and 60's music. I LOVED it. We will definitely be back. read more

This is our date night restaurant every Friday night. when I call for a reservation ( highly recommended) they know who I am. Always greeted with a smile and led to our table. Food is always good and there is a large selection. Have never had a problem of any kind. This restaurant is family owned and operated. Try it,you'll be glad you did. read more

The hostess pointed in a vague direction to seat ourselves as she followed, but I couldn't figure out how to get to the deck and had to ask her to lead us. I thought it might put her off, but I was brain-numb from driving for the previous 7 hours. We sat in the shade with an incredible view of the boats and the creek. It was so beautiful that I didn't think the food would matter at all, which is good because it was a mixed bag. I ordered a whisky sour, with house whisky.... Whatever's in the well. Waitress didn't understand what was meant by my order, probably my bad. I was so tired that I couldn't sort my brain. We figured it out and it arrived with a slice of lemon and a slice of lime instead of a flag, so it was sour like a Warhead! We ordered fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. The only thing we could taste was the oil they were fried in and the pimento cheese they were topped with. The 3 tomatoes were the thickness of a slice of Kraft American cheese and no larger than the diameter of a Pepsi can. We wouldn't order that again. Ever. We also ordered a cheeseburger, which was lovely, but wasn't served with onion, pickle, or any spread. No mustard, ketchup or mayo. It wasn't something we would order again either. Redemption came in the guise of a swordfish steak. It was grilled to near perfection, moist, flavorful and topped with cilantro microgreens. This was a delicious entree. With it was a lovely, fresh mixed leafy green salad topped with blue-cheese vinaigrette. We wouldn't go back for that dish alone, but we would go back. The menu is appealing, with a variety of seafood. I do recommend it, for the ambiance, and the swordfish. We did order a key lime cake. It was good. Not "inspired", but good. We also ordered a brownie to go. It was hot. We dodnt understand heating a brownie, when the item isn't for immediate consumption? Maybe it was hot out of the oven from being baked. I will learn to sprout cilantro microgreens, because they were excellent. When you look at the high rating, remember the rating is on "your experience", not just one aspect (the food).
