When I last reviewed this Supermarket, it was an Albertson. I'm not sure how long it's been Market Street as 2016 was my last visit to Santa Fe. Gayle and I stopped here at least 3 times for grocery-related items during our nearby VRBO stay. The prices seemed OK, and this place was busy both inside the store and within the "bumper car" feel of the parking lot. We were also able to find what we wanted fairly quickly within a market that lacked our muscle memory. We also found employees here (checkout and in store) to be friendly and helpful. read more

Pharmacy review, Market Street on Guadalupe. "We value our customers" Ha! Extremely long lines and limited hours, on weekends especially, when many working people do their errands. Frequently, there is mass confusion, as there is only one line. Accordingly, there are people waiting for prescription and people waiting for shots. When those waiting for shots get their turn after a long wait, they are told they should go to yet another line, in front of the "drop off" window. Anyway, that's a complete waste of time. There is no signage or instruction, and this happens over and over. Many of those waiting a long time are elderly. read more

This review is for the pharmacy at 600 N Guadalupe. This place is the most disorganized, messed up pharmacy I have ever dealt with. I'm almost 70 years old and have dealt with A LOT of pharmacies, but this one really takes the cake. Chronology of my most recent bad experience: 8-21 doctor prescribes a medication electronically. I go into the pharmacy that afternoon. They say they never got it and to call the doctor. I call and doctor says they have confirmation the transmission was received by the pharmacy at 10:21 am. Doctor calls it in. Subsequently I talk with the pharmacist and she says they have it and it will be ready in half an hour. Oh and they did receive the original transmission after all - they had just called for clarification. I make the 30 minute drive in and they don't have the right dosage, but they do a partial. They said I could pick up the 30 day prescription today. Went in today and there is just a tiny bit in the bottle. They tell me that's all the doctor prescribed which is not what my chart shows or what the pharmacy told me yesterday. Oh and now we are back to they never received the initial transmission At that point I walked out and transferred everything to another pharmacy. Some of the employees working at this pharmacy are really sweet and I feel bad for them having to deal with the chaotic environment. The pharmacist on duty tonight however- sadly didn't catch her name - made the situation so much worse. She is the type who thinks she's great at customer service but is actually crap at it - condescending, won't listen, argumentative, more interested in proving she is right than in helping you. Has an air of 'handling' a difficult customer. I'm sure you know what I mean. Anyway she actually had the audacity to tell me it's more likely my doctor made the mistake than the pharmacy. Really unprofessional! I highly recommend you take your pharmacy business somewhere else. This is not the first time I've had this sort of experience with them, it's just the worst. Market Street is by far the best grocery store in Santa Fe in terms of selection, customer service and satisfaction. We love the 10% discount on the monthly Senior Wednesday. The staff is always so helpful finding products, suggesting new produce and in the preparation of party trays and treats. The staff works hards but they are never to busy to help. I shop at the Guadalupe Street Market Street twice a week (or more) and always walk away satisfied. Yesterday, though, was extraordinary! I left the house with one bright green glove - wearing it to remind myself to check the Market Street lost-and-found for its mate. Pushing my cart from olive oil to produce, I saw a friendly witch in a purple hat coming in the other direction. I wasn't alarmed - it was Halloween and her name badge said "Theresa." She made eye contact, gestured to my hands, and asked, "Did you lose a glove like that the other day?" I held up my one gloved had and one bare hand and said something about checking with the desk on my way out. Theresa informed me she had found the glove and turned it in. I was very grateful and said so - they're nice gloves. A few minutes later, I looked up from the cucumbers to see Theresa coming toward me waving the missing glove! It made my day. I am used to great customer service at this store, but the purple-hatted witch has set a new bar. read more

Cannot imagine how anyone can give this place less than 3 Stars. Typically they are NOT ELITE and have some ax to grind (e.g. Mask-NAZI's). Anyway, I've been to Albertson's, Trader Joes, and Whole Foods in Santa Fe. They're all OK, but no where near the huge selection of quality produce, dry goods, meats, cheeses, as this store. read more

I love the selection in Market Street. It's got beautiful cheese, bakery and produce areas. The store made chips are delicious as well. Check them out in the deli. Try the lemon pie! Omg. So good. read more

Pricey pricey pricey! Of course it is Santa Fe, in the middle of a pandemic with supply chain issues so I shouldn't have been surprised. It's actually a pretty nice store, and decently stocked. But sticker shock got this AZ native when he purchased just a four pack of root beer and an iced coffee. read more

My Girlfriend and I love this store. Recently we had an issue with a 12 pack of twisted tea about 8 were really dented. She didn't have the receipt. I know it's not their fault but the merchandisers who stock them. I tried to go online and they had a contact form.I wasted time filling it out and wouldn't submit. read more

Once the Albertsons became Market Street , the store got a lot better FAST! Same employees for the most part but w smiles and hellos instead of too long lines. Selection in store suits my needs. Love that store now. So grateful. read more

If you are at self-checkout, there are often errors in their sensors and the staff will treat you like you are dishonest before ever checking your bag. My bags have been checked multiple times now and it's always been a computer error. Even after you've been put in the clear, the monitor will read a bright red recording and track your face. I understand shrinkage but this is demeaning. I'll be going to sprouts around the corner from now on. read more

I've lived in SF for 25 years and have shopped at Albertsons and now Market Street for years -- always being checked out by the same old cranky, rude, entitled women who've worked there for as long as I can remember; who can never be bothered to show customers a smile, never to engage, beyond unfriendly, acting hostile and bored to death under their crabby "a--" faces, often unrecognizable under their masks and sunglasses! -- seemingly barely tolerant - actually completely intolerant -- of the customers who give them their jobs. This morning, went shopping early at 6:30am, with barely a customer around, one of these old checkout ladies - a long time member of this most ever-smiling and always helpful posse ready to give the best customer service possible (not -- what an embarrassment and complete joke these women are...) couldn't bear to even explain to me a minor question I had about the way the weekly promo works... not an ounce of helpfulness could be found in her. She couldn't be bothered... It disgusted me for the final time. Talk about gals way past their expiration date! Management - don't you dare to act like you don't know EXACTLY who and what I'm talking about. I'll never shop here again. read more

I have shopped there for about 8 years since it was Albertson's. The store is located approximately 4.5 miles away, making it a convenient location for me. I'm a retired 81 years old male and take my time picking groceries, often filling up a full cart, which amounts to roughly more than a thousand dollars a month. On one occasion, while I was at the register and my items were being accounted for, I noticed that a small package was still in my cart. Initially, I couldn't see it because I was standing behind the cart, but both the bagger and the cashier had noticed it. As I looked up I saw the store manager leaning over the counter with his hand under his jaw with his full attention on me. I assumed at that point that the cashier might have been concerned about me stealing the item, although that was not the case. Instead of bringing this to my attention directly, she decided to call the manager and let him "deal with me". I asked the cashier if she had accounted for the item, and she nervously replied that she hadn't. I handed the package to her, and at that moment, I noticed the manager blink, as if approving of my action. Although I understand that "shrinkage" is a problem for stores, I felt humiliated and bothered by the lack of respect shown. It could have been resolved simply by pointing out the item to me, rather than creating an unwarranted and uncomfortable atmosphere. As a result, I will be giving MarketStreet one star, not good. read more

It's 8 pm and there are three people ahead of me, but it's totally fine because everyone is SUPER FREAKING FRIENDLY HERE. I swear I thought those automatic doors had opened the door to Narnia, but no...it was just incredible savings. Ramen for under a quarter? Check. Safeway brand ketchup for .99? Check check. I'm so used to paying at least $1 for it elsewhere, and when you buy it in bulk like I do (condiment wrestling) the savings really add up. What I really love about this location is how efficient it is. If anything there were just TOO MANY lanes open. I prefer waiting because then I get to mingle with the locals, get a taste of the scene if you know what I mean, but not here. I barely got to hit on three guys before it was my turn at the conveyor belt. Again, to sum up my review: If efficient, fast, speedy and friendly savings is what you are looking for, then by God get yourself to the De Vargas Albertsons ASAP. read more

When visited on Saturday May 16 most people were not wearing a mask. People were not asked to wear a mask. A woman who has underlying health issues asked a security guard why this was being allowed was lectured and told the virus is Gods Will!!! It was very inappropriate. Some staff here are very grumpy. Staff at Trader Joes and Sprouts always seem fairly happy and are always pleasant. read more

I wouldn't call them a Co op or Whole foods but they have a better selection of skincare products than the average grocery store. I've come here a bunch of times and have mixed feelings about the quality of customer service. I've had nice cashiers and rude cashiers, so I would call this place average . As far as variety they do carry a nice mixture of choices. A can find a decent amount of vegetarian meals so that's great about this place. Price wise I wouldn't say it's expensive or cheap. It really depends on what you get. As far as the grocery rewards program it's not that great. I've seen better for sure. read more

Wanted to leave some feedback because I come here often when visiting Santa Fe. Everyone is incredibly helpful and friendly (especially compared to Vons back home.) Since the renovation the inside is clean and I've had nothing but good experiences at the Starbucks inside. I love getting their wok bowls, fresh salad bar items for lunch. I believe some of the fresh custom lunch/hot deli sections don't open until 10 so really not fair to give them less stars because you didn't check the hours. I like this store a lot. Everyone is very nice and kind. BUT I AM SAD BECAUSE THINGS THAT I USED TO FIND IN THIS STORE when it was called ALBERTSONS I can not longer FIND My favorite cheese Cracker Barrel aged reserved Cheddar cheese "coon brand cheddar cheese, just vanished. Plus I can't find taro roots, decent yucca root, pork belly, pig feet there any longer. To find all those, I must to go to Albertsons which is a bit faraway. I came from a country hometown where some people lived to 124 years eating pork fat and I enjoy it. I don't know why Street Market do not carry Pork Belly and others that Albertsons used to carry! read more

I love this store - for me it's a cross between Whole Foods and Publix, which is a GREAT combination. They were extremely well stocked, with plenty of options for the vacationing customer. This is an absolutely terrible business enterprise. Their curbside delivery is awful. We order groceries online every week and at least half of the time they charge us for items that are not delivered. They routinely overcharge us and then it is a battle to get someone at the store to call us back and credit the account for items we paid for but did not receive. They tell us that they will call back, but they never do. Then, we have to call again and start the entire process all over. The last time I went to pick up groceries, There were two other cars in the designated area waiting for groceries. Those two customers were promptly served. Before I received my groceries five other cars came and were served. 30 minutes later, I was told that they accidentally erased my order. I cannot image a more incompetent set of people running curbside delivery. We will not be back. Unless you want to wast time and pay for groceries you do not receive, I recommend looking elsewhere. Yelp really needs a "0 star" rating option. read more

You might find what you want in this store that could house a 747, but in the time you spend doing that, or discovering that you can't, you'd probably be at a store where you's definitely find what you want. Use this place with caution. On the positive side, the prices and hours are good, and it is a gigantamous store that's a worthy first stop for any supermarket-y purchase, like detergent or food storage items. I shop at Whole Foods 99% of the time, but last night, they were closed, and I needed some things. I left Market Street outraged by their prices. In fact, I can get a better deal at Whole Foods by buying their generic brand, versus not having a generic brand choice at Market Street. Albertsons Food&Drug is in an incredibly emo place-it's perfect for TWILIGHT/HOT TOPIC fans. It's across the street from Rosario Cemetery. It's a market that's perfect for conducting EVPs. It's a grim&grimy place to shop, and surprisingly expensive. The "deals" are buying stuff you don't need in bulk, whilst the necessities are pricey. It's a poorly arranged store, and tends to be short on checkers. It is a hangout for drifters, so it's depressing (and there's the cemetery across the street) The only convenience about this place was that it wasn't far from where I lived. It was a nice, short walk. Albeit hella goth because of the graveyard you pass on the way. read more

For me, it's all about the attitude. Maybe it's because this is the Land of Enchantment, but I always get really zen when I go to SF. Maybe it's because everyone I encountered at this place was friendly and helpful. Sought this place out on our first night in SF when the Giant suddenly got a raging headcold or something else nasty, and needed OTC meds. I needed some essentials too, so off we went. Now, in some places, they store the heavy duty cold meds behind the counter and this was no exception, however, when I asked the pharmacy tech, he kindly escorted me to an all-accessible section with pseudo-pseudo ephedrine. You know, the fake Sudafed stuff? Offered to let me talk to the pharmacist to further aid in my decision making, but it wasn't needed: found exactly the right stuff to soothe a Giant's stuffiness. Prices are fine, selection is fine but everyone smiled and greeted us like we weren't tourists after all, but family. Definitely deserves 5 stars. read more

I wish they had Safeway Stores in Santa Fe. This is without a doubt one of the WORST grocery stores ever. First the layout is terrible and it is difficult to find things. Second, the average IQ of the employees is that of a common garden hose. The employees are rude, they cannot find items themselves in the store. The checkout lanes are slower than rush hour traffic in LA. They talk to themselves constantly and move so slow. I have a video I took waiting in line (only one line was open) and there were about 25 people behind me and we all kept asking to open another line and after 15 minutes they did. The packers do not pack bags correctly. I've had discussions on two occasions with the managers (who will apologize but complain about their own employees) about putting eggs and bread at the bottom of the bags. I tried it for six months and now back at Smiths. Better prices, staff are friendly and you don't have to deal with these idiots who work here. It's a shame because the stores in California are amazing: clean, friendly staff and eager to help. The polar opposite of the store. read more

Call the front desk for a cab and head to Albertson's where I saved $8 dollars on a bottle of Woodford. $28? You kidding me? Makes me want to start bootlegging. It is 7 pm. There are TWO people I front of me and ELEVEN people waiting behind me in the EXPRESS line. The manager came up and did something with the cashier and her cash drawer and kept everyone waiting for 4-5 min! C'mon, management! This is ridiculous and VERY BAD BUSINESS even for lazy Santa Fe! This is not the first time I've complained about this management and many slow checkers. I even called regional management once and received an apology call from this store's manager. But it obviously didn't CHANGE one thing! I can literally go 3 miles away to shop at Smith's and get in and out faster than this Albertson's. I use this store as little as possible even though it is closest to my home! Stay away! Once again...Friday before Memorial Day 4 pm. All lines back to the aisle.
