What an amazing hidden gem. We struggled to find a place that had seating, but couldn't have been happier to have found this place! We ordered breakfast and it was on our table in no time! Tasted amazing, we had ordered extras and the total bill was only $22... We will be eating breakfast here until we leave and of course whenever we return! Had the Sal Maglie with Everything. It was delicious. Pecan pancakes were really good too. Coffee not the greatest and water doesn't taste that great; which may be part of the coffee problem. Maybe they should invest in good water filtration. Service not good. She was nice but cups were empty for a long time before we got refills. Also they're cash only. Didn't see any signs when we came in saying that so make sure you have cash. If I could've rated on food alone I'd have given 5 stars. read more

Awesome place, little breakfast restaurant that makes you feel like you're home. We we're staying a few min away from the restaurant, drove up from Indiana, and went here twice to eat breakfast. Both times we had awesome experience, friendly staff, the food was great, totally reasonable prices and your coffee cup will always stay full! The second day we came we didn't know they're closing at 12 and we came at 12:07 so one of the guys working there insisted us to stay and said not to worry about it. Nobody rushed us and it seemed like they let a few people in right at closing time too. Just make sure you bring cash, they don't accept credit cards, but you can get cash at the ATM around the corner. Definitely coming back next time we're at the falls. read more

Went there because there are so many 5 star reviews but it was a disappointing experience for us . They took us in quickly but it went downhill from there. The wait was 45 minutes to get our pancakes and toast and eggs and the food was subpar at best. The prices were higher than ones posted on yelp and although you can get blueberry and chocolate pancakes they are not listed on menu. The chocolate pancake was all chocolate with a little pancake batter in it! It was like eating sweet chocolate!! At $8 per head for two pancakes each or two eggs and toast it wasn't a cheap breakfast for a diner experience. There are higher end restaurants that charge the same price if not lower, for a better ambience. Coffee was good but it got cold waiting for our breakfast. Some patrons who came after us were served their breakfast before us and we had to remind our waitress for our order after 45 mins and we got it 2-3 minutes after that reminder! Wonder if she forgot to put our order in? The Italian toast with the eggs was 1/4 the size of a regular slice of bread and it comes with butter (no one asked if we wanted the toast buttered). The butter was so heavy on the Italian toast that it made it soggy. Also pancakes came with lots of melting butter on it and again no option to get it without it or on the side. To top it off pancakes are served with Log cabin maple syrup (yuck!). Don't think I can recommend the place unless you are from out of town and are not aware of the much better restaurants around the falls. read more

I've never written a review while dining, but I had to get this out! We had the home fries, French toast, bacon, eggs, fruit bowl, and a scramble. Everything was absolutely delicious. Service was superb and our waitress was very friendly. This is a popular spot with locals who know each other. The owner was making the rounds talking to all customers and even spilled his secret formula for the seasoning on the home fries to me-yas! He even gave us tips for our visit. Marketside was satisfying to both my stomach and my budget, and the staff was so friendly. My beau and I shared the Sal Maglie with the works plus 1 blueberry and 1 apple pancake... get the apple pancake. It was so delicious - just the right amount of sweet and tart, with big slices of tender apple throughout. And I don't know how they make their batter, but those cakes come out light and fluffy and moist like I've never had before. Five stars all the way. Killer breakfast food. The cook is obviously exceptional. We saw a photo on yelp of the "Sal" breakfast plate and I ordered it. I needed to take a nap after I ate it. HUGE and delicious. This is a very friendly, tiny little restaurant where lots of conversations are taking place among patrons between tables and across the restaurant. Most having to do with world war II (older clientele -but apparently this non-health conscious food is not causing their regulars to die young - it's way too late for THAT... LOL), but don't let that stop you from popping in and having breakfast. I had a bit of trouble finding it with my GPS because its not on the main street but facing a parking lot adjacent to the McDonalds. My GPS drove me around the block twice before we spotted it. The service was quick and friendly, even though we arrived a little close to the end of breakfast service. The owner (I believe) even stopped by to say hi and see how our meal was going. I don't carry cash often so luckily I had some by chance - they don't take credit cards, which with current technology I just can't understand.
