There were two different playground areas (one for younger children and one for older children). There were a a couple of micro trails that you could walk and plenty of parking. That was about it. There is a lot of potential here and I would love to come back one day when the boardwalk has been repaired and reopened.

This beautiful and well maintained park offers an array of recreational amenities. Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the basketball, softball, tennis, and racquetball courts along with a soccer on the multipurpose field. As a nature lover I enjoyed the many boardwalks with views of the lake and the sidewalk which meanders through the entire park. It is perfect for walking for exercise and I saw the cutest marsh rabbit as I made my way through the park. There are also two fishing piers. Kids will spend hours playing and on the two imaginative playgrounds. Secret Lake Park is also home to the recently renovated Casselberry Recreation Center which has a main room, ballroom, billiards room, computer room, outdoor deck area, activity room, and outdoor pavilions. The recreation center offers many programs from youth to senior. They include exercise, yoga, Tai Chi, Zumba, and dance classes. The park is also the host of several beloved Casselberry traditions like the HOWL-O-WEEN Dog Walk-a-Thon and Canine Costume Contest, Art & Music in the Park & Food Truck Bazaar, and the Casselberry Easter Egg Hunt. I really enjoyed my visit to Secret Lake Park. It is the perfect outdoor recreation destination for families, fitness seekers, and sports lovers. You can go for peaceful stroll, play basketball, or watch the kids play safely. The scenic lakeside views, comprehensive recreational programs, and variety of amenities add to the charm and versatility of this park.

This review is for the "Black Hammock Trailhead" in Winter Springs (Just west of the 417 at 434…read more Hopefully, the crew at Yelp! rename this back to that. Google Maps has it correct as of April 2022. Anyway, this Trailhead is a great way to enter the Cross Seminole Trail. You can ride the trail south to Oviedo (Stop at the Townhouse or Kelly's Ice Cream) and continue to the Cady Way trail in Orange County. Or you can go North for about 5.5 miles further into Winter Springs (just past Gee Creek bridge). This trailhead has restrooms with actual running water so you can wash and flush (not in that order). There's also a covered area at the beginning of the trail with an air pump, some tools to fix your bike and some water fountains (high for people and low for dogs). As the trail continues to expand, this is a great starting point for your bike ride or walk on paved trails. It can get crowded in spots but not as bad as the West Orange Trail.

Cady Way Trail,…read moreis a 6.5 mile stretch constructed along the abandoned roadbed of the East Florida & Atlantic Railroad and which ran to the former Naval Training Center Orlando. The trail is jointly owned by the Orlando Department of Families, Parks and Recreation and by Orange County Parks and Recreation. I was able to pick up the Cady Way Trail in Winter Park near Cady Way Park and take it down to Lake Baldwin. The paved Cady Way Trail is not open to motorized vehicles making it safe from cars although there was a famous murder of two Winter Park high school students that took place on the trail in 2012. Cady Way Trail travels through the Audubon Park. Baldwin Park, Colonial Town Center, and Coytown neighborhoods of Orlando. Cady Way Trail is actually part of a larger regional trail. From the trail you can connect to the 2.5 mile trail loop that lops around Lake Baldwin as I did or to another 1.5 mile trail around the west side of Lake Susannah. The shady trail is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors by walking, running, and biking.

You can pump your tires and use tools for quick fixes, which is super convenient. The trail itself is well-lit, clean, and felt very safe. We passed homes, wooded areas, and even stopped for a smoothie along the way. I also loved the tunnels at major intersections--such a nice touch. Overall, a fantastic trail we'll definitely be back to!

It's always clean and the water fountains here work well. There is a bike care station and a bench. The parking lot is in nice condition and the area in general feels safe.

The mile markers go as far as 10 miles if that's something you're interested in doing. The trail is smooth and easy to exercise on. They have clean bathrooms and plenty of parking. Overall a really nice and clean environment I would recommend to anyone in the area or someone looking to explore outside of their own town.

A great walking trail in Sorrento with paved and wide trails. There are benches along the way…read morehowever there is very little shade. There is plenty of parking at both ends of the trail. There are no restrooms or water fountains on the trail but there are restrooms at the Orange county end of the trail. The trail is approximately 2.5 miles long and goes from Lake County to Orange County. Horses and bikes are allowed on the trails, bikers yield to hikers and horses and hikers yield to horses. The trails passed through multiple Florida, ecosystems, including sand, pine, scrub, pine, flat woods, and wetlands. Although we did not see any, deer and tortoises can be seen at times.

Our friends have their Rock Super Bowl at this park each year, they have been holding this event…read moreannually so it's their Rock Super Bowl IX. We had a blast! Basically, a battle of the local rock and roll bands - a variety of different members from different bands come together on two teams for one day with a purpose to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Tickets are only $5, bring a foldup chair, 10x10 tent, a cooler and it's a great time watching all of our friends compete with one another on the field. Torcaso Cove Park is a great place to hold this event. There is a spacious field with plenty of space on the sidelines for fans. There are several parking areas available making parking easy for large events. There was plenty of space for a half-time show with live music right by the field. There were also a BBQ vendor and several other vendors on site selling food, jewelry, and other items. The park has a public restroom, a playground, splash park, sand pits, plenty of paved walking areas, a picnic area with tables, large pavilion, a beautiful bridge that crosses the heart shaped cove, the park has a bunch of Muscovy ducks waddling around and is dog friendly, what else can you ask for. Nancy and I really enjoyed our time at the park, we will definitely be back to bring our dog and take a nice walk. I just have to mention that it was a bit muddy on the field, even on a hot sunny day. So be sure to wear something you don't care about getting dirty.

Full of ducks and turtles, and I always make sure to bring oatmeal and frozen peas so I can spend a little time with them. You can feed them from the bridge, or the beach. They will surround you LOL. There are 3 play areas: 2 for the big kids, and a pirate themed area for the little kids. There is also a splash pad, and I will openly admit to running through recently, as I chose to go on my run when it was over 95 degrees. The park is very clean, and well cared for, and it's right next to the Winter Springs Police Department, and on this day they had an event bringing awareness to autism; I was offered a popsicle and gladly grabbed it. I sat on a bench to watch a soccer match, while I finished my cold treat, stretched a bit, put on my weighted vest, waved to the ducks, and took off. Perfect park on a perfect day :)
