We had three rooms done. Two were carpets destroyed by puppies, and one was old, ugly tile. I had hardwood floors put in. All three rooms done in one day! Absolutely beautiful job, and I was thrilled they could lay the floor over the tile, saving time, money, and a lot of dust. We will definitely be using them again!! read more

They don't even deserve 1 STAR. Went for the 1st & last time last week. The people who work there are usless. There were 2 guys and a female there when we got there. One guy walked in the back, the other one just sat at a desk usless and the female was pretty rude. Not only were the staff not helpful the prices on the flooring we were looking at was INSANE. On top of the crazy prices for the tile, we'd have to pay freight. We walked out and will NEVER walk back into that company and DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

Had them install tile in showers and bathroom floors. Bad experience from day 1. Salespeople failed to call me back after the sale when I had a question. When I did talk to someone, I asked about adding one row of tile to the shower walls, and they tried to price gouge me at over 100 bucks per tile. Every small change that i requested felt like they were gouging me more. Installation was bad (crooked tiles, jagged cuts, etc). We tried to work with them, but they just kept getting worse. We ended up ripping out all of the tile and starting over. It was a complete headache. I would look elsewhere, at least for tile. read more

The first time I called to verify when my installation would be they told me the carpet had not been ordered because I did not give them a deposit, No one ever asked me for a deposit. The following week was set for installation. Very poor communication. I had to call them to verify installation was set up. They told me that installers would be here between 8 to 9 am. At 9:30 called to see if they were coming, I had to call them twice because no one wanted to tell me "installers were running late and would be here sometime after 12:30." They started running late at 9:00 am and no one took the courtesy to call. What has happened to Customer service?? read more

I wanted to like Mark's, nice people. I was shopping for flooring and installation with a fast two week deadline, I had gotten a couple quotes and mark's offered me a comparable one for what I needed done. I picked out a tile and asked is this ceramic or porcelain? As I had been shopping and knew the average prices and was looking for porcelain. She told me it was porcelain and would be around $6.50 per square foot installed. I knew other similar tiles I had looked at were around $3.50 a square foot and I knew from the few installers we had called that $3 a square foot for our job was pretty standard. So I deemed that was a fair price and they said they could meet my deadline. So I met someone out at the property for a quote, I exaplined we would be getting up the old thinset and chunks of block off the cement floor so he measured and gave me a quote. I proceeded, agreeing to the quote. When the day came for the installers to begin work I loaded up my kids and drove out to the property to meet them only to see them pass me LEAVING the property. We then received a call from the office saying that the floor is uneven and they will need to make an additional quote for that. The additional quote was $2k more and two more days added to the job atleast. I am now almost to my 2 week deadline and feeling pressured to get this done. I asked them how much to simply purchase the tile only off of them that I had ordered so I could use one of the other installers that had offered us a very reasonable price even with the little bit of floor leveling to be done in the job. They told me my tile was $1.79 a square foot and then I realized.... If that's the case this is not porcelain tile and they were charging me a whopping $5k in installation and addition materials alone to begin with THEN saying well the floor is uneven and we will now need to chge you an additional $2k for labor. You mean to tell me it's going to cost me $7k for installation alone for my tiny 1100s.f. home? Needless to say I was frustrated that my time was up, I had based a lot of my home colors off this tile that turns out to be a ceramic tile I could have gotten at Home Depot and now I need to go find another installer that's not going to be ridiculous about it. In Mark's defence I do believe it was just some misunderstandings, some misinformation, and some poor communication that happened. The office person probably believed it was a porcelain tile and the installers they contracted for the job were telling them it's worse than it was and wanting great pay for the least amount of work possible. As exspected when we picked up our tile, the boxes to say, ceramic tile. We were blessed to find a very kind and hard working tiler that could start immediately and would only be charging us the $3 per square foot to do the job. I wish I would have known and could have ordered an actual porcelain tile and paid someone that could do it reasonably and get done what they said they could when they said they could. I understand it was probably just mistakes on their end, so for future Mark's customers just make sure you cover exactly what work needs to be done and what tile you're getting and how much the tile alone is costing as well as just how much you're paying in labor. read more

mark came out and measured the room the same day i called and my carpet was installed the next day. only took the guys 20 minutes to install the carpet. the guys that did the job were friendly and professional and did a great job. i'll call them again for our next flooring job for sure!! read more

We had had a bood experience with Mark's when we had them install bedroom carpet a couple of years ago so when we needed some padding we knew just where to head. The girl we talked to seemed aggravated that we bothered her and we never felt welcome, but they had what we wanted so we paid for it and were to come back the next day after they cut it. They never called so we called and they hadn't gotten it done, would try later, never did so at 5pm they said they'd get it the next week. We waited for a call that it was done, no call, we called and were told it would be done that day and they'd call when it was done. A little before 5 we called, they hadn't gotten it done, so tomorrow. By this point we were done and just canceled the order. We never felt like our business was welcome only that we were bothering them. We went to another carpet dealer who cut it for us right then and there, and with a smile. Shame on Mark's for having employees that don't care if you buy from them or not, and when you do, don't deliver. If you don't want to be valued and don't want your product, head to Mark's as they deliver both very well. read more
