There are many great things to say: He always answers his phone, and is very generous with his time answering your questions. His inspections are broad and very detailed. He identified a long list of issues, many of which were small and could have easily been overlooked. Some inspectors only use binoculars or drones to inspect the roof. Chuck climbs up on the roof and inspects it up close, which is 100% necessary in my opinion. With that service alone, he discovered 6 issues, and saved me a bunch of money. Since we have a toddler, I requested specific water tests that are not listed on his website. Chuck happily collaborated with the local water testing facility to administer the extra tests properly. My brother-in-law was so impressed by Chuck that he will be using him on his next home purchase. After the service is complete, you will receive a PDF report of the findings. The report is clean, well-designed, color-coded, and easy to understand. Photos are large and easy to see. Descriptions are succinct and easy to communicate to contractors. I've seen reports from other inspectors, and they are terrible by comparison. (Small grainy photos, unclear descriptions, disorganized, and ugly.) Chucks reports are professional and presentable. We'll be moving into the house in a few weeks, and I am confident that it will be in the exact condition that Chuck reported. I had contacted the Third Estimate about an insurance claim for siding repair from a storm that had…read moredown-poured hail. I had high hopes since I had used them 5 years ago for a roof replacement claim and had no issues. Since the roof repair, they have significantly grown and their communication has made a serious dive. I messaged via their social media after a request for a inspection had gone unanswered that I had filled out on their website. The person behind the social media page contacted and said they had no record, even though I had the confirmation from 2 days prior that my request had been sent. Their siding tech Ronnie had come out and was great to deal with. After that, it went way down hill. I had been sent a email from their claims person asking about the insurance claim and asked for the information for my insurance. I responded the next day with all the information, and received no response. I emailed the following day to make sure that they had received what they needed and got a response as yes. A week went by with no update. I had received a letter from my insurance company that they were denying the claim. I then sent another email inquiring about what was going on and received no response. Another week, another email and nothing. It took me sending a response on their social media stating that I will start looking for another company if I cannot get an update. I magically got a response later that day saying the person was out for a few days and that for whatever reason the insurance company didnt get the email from them. They said they would try the Tuesday after Memorial Day. We are now into the second week of June and nothing. At this point im thoroughly disappointed and saddened at the lack of communication and care that they have showed me. I will move on to another company at this point. I have wasted my time. They obviously do not care about doing work for smaller homes or homes that dont match what they post on their social media. I feel like all the recommendations for this company that I had given out to family, friends and coworkers was a waste because as a return customer, i've been let down. I have all the email correspondence and messages saved as well that will show the large gaps in responses and communications. My home isnt a $500k home, its a small ranch in Parma, but I should atleast be shown the same respect as other customers. Poor customer service
