The prices they charge are a great value, and delivery is rapid. Had we come earlier in the day, we could have received it same day. instead it is scheduled to arrive the day after. The coffee table leg kept trying to collapse, so I called them after putting allot of money into warranty. Found out had to go through someone else and they conveniently kept forgetting to email us. The seats are sunken and material thin and with stuffing so thin after having furniture only 9 months. We threw the coffee table out as it's no good and obviously not worth anything. American Freight sells cheap and worthless furniture. I now have to look for new furniture and more then likely will have to sue them for money lost as I paid it off within 90 days same as cash. It is only my husband and I we both work and the use of the furniture was minimal. I'm frustrated, we spent 2019.96, which they gladly took and when needed help for defective furniture, we kept getting the run around.

By being a previous customer she got 20% off every thing, including the bed and any accessories she wanted. Her daughter-in-law came too because she was interested in a new bed as well. She got a 15% off coupon from my sister by creating a new account. She and and my sister's son came back Wednesday to get their bed. Although, I wasn't ready to purchase anything today, I will be getting the same 15% discount when I am ready. Otis was our salesperson and very helpful. He had us try several beds and pillows. He answered all of our many questions. In addition to replacing her mattress she decided to go with the adjustable frame that raises your head and feet in the split design. That means each side is independent of the other side and adjusts individually for two separate people in the same bed. They have mattresses where the foot portion of the mattress heats up to keep your feet warm if you would like that feature. They also have a wide assortment of pillows in all kinds of shapes, thicknesses, firmness, and materials used inside. They have sheets and comforters too. Today, Thursday, was delivery day, everything went smoothly. They arrived on time. They notify you twice before arriving. Total time spent on delivery and setup was less than one hour.

Make sure you really want to do business with a place like this as their service department is useless, go look at reviews prior!!! And just like Goldilocks, I found one that was just right with an automated feature to raise and lower head and feet. Each mattress is custom made and takes a little over two weeks to make. I thought the prices were reasonable. They will deliver the new mattress and remove your old mattress for a nominal price.

A few hours later, a fire had ripped through our condo building. We didn't know it then, but we would be displaced for over two years. As we all started to figure out where to go now that we were homeless, the stories started to come out. We all dealt with the feelings of loss and heartbreak as we put the pieces of our lives back together. My friend and neighbor of ten years told me of her auto accident months earlier that had left her with head trauma and memory loss. During that time, her insurance had lapsed. Her agent of twenty years didn't call, didn't follow up, and her insurance coverage had lapsed. Then the fire. I was sharing this story with Rich Taylor at a community event, and he asked me to call his wife, Lauren. I asked why, and he explained that she was the president of Holder Mattress and their company was all about helping the community that had helped and supported them. I called Lauren and shared the story of my amazing neighbor, the auto accident, the head trauma, the lapsed insurance, and how she had lost all of her possessions. I asked if there was anything Holder Mattress could do to help my friend. She asked me to give her some time to check into a few options and said she would get back to me shortly. True to her word, she reached back out and told me that Holder Mattress would love to provide a free mattress and box spring for my neighbor. I thanked her and told her I would be in touch once we knew when we could go back home, little knowing it would be two and a half years. My friend is fortunate to have many great people in her life who gave her a place to stay while she waited for her home to be rebuilt. We are finally able to go home now, and when I called Lauren, she graciously responded and assured me that Holder Mattress wanted to help. They scheduled a time this past week and delivered the mattress. I love the message they left: "We will call you early next week to confirm a window of time for delivery, so you'll know when to expect them. They will do all set up, and if you'd like, they can haul away any existing mattress you need to dispose of. You'll simply need to open the door and point them in the right direction. I hope you sleep well on the new mattress!" No old mattress to take away, the fire took care of that, but Holder Mattress and their team showed up, and it was a VIP experience for my neighbor. If you love to support local companies who truly care, Holder Mattress is a company worthy of your support and patronage.

The mattress was delivered on February 19, 2026, and it feels nothing like the mattress I tried in the store. In fact, it is stiff and hard and has already started to cause me back pain. I am writing this review to warn others that you will be better off purchasing your mattress through a major retailor, who will stand behind their product, usually 100 nights, or your money back. Don't get taken in by Holder's folksy story about a local company that custom makes your mattress personally for you. This is actually a business model that allows Holder to not stand behind their product, no refunds, no exchanges without additional fees, because the mattress was custom made. I realize that based on other reviews, some people are happy with their purchase. I am happy for them. I am speaking to the people where the Holder Mattress was not a good fit and the customer is not happy. You have absolutely no recourse! I actually reached out to Holder and was told that I could exchange my mattress for a $500 fee, but since I bought the most expensive mattress, any other mattress I would choose, would be less expensive and they would not refund the difference. I had the good fortune to get to deal with Mark Thomas again. Mark is great to work with, very personable and just a great everyday guy. I decided to change my choice and go with a less firm mattress, and I`m glad I went back, I needed to get this right. Mark was great and Longs Mattress seems to be a great locally owned place to do business with. I am very pleased with them so far. It`s nice to have a local place to buy from, and they even make their own mattresses, and I think that`s a great situation too.
