It's kind of overwhelming because I wanted 1 of deese & 1 of dose & 2 of dem. The prices won't break the bank either. My wife ordered a vege omelet & sum sausage links, her brother go the chicken fried steak w/gravy hash browns & eggs. I got the steak (medium rare) hash browns crispy, eggs over easy & English muffins. I love these type of restaurants because the portions are ginormous & reasonably priced. While in the area for a business trip we stopped in for lunch. We both got the Coney Island special with onion, I added mustard to mine. My husband got cheese fries, I got regular fries. The good was amazing! I've got a sensitive stomach but this didn't upset me one bit. The place is very clean, open, lots of natural light. Our waitress was so kind and helpful. I almost skipped this place because the name sounded like a hot dog joint. But it's more than that. It's a regular diner that offers breakfast and sandwiches all day long. They have plenty of pancake and egg/omelette options. The omelettes are good, but not the best in the world. Good service, and good food, but be prepared to pay $1 for a small container of salsa. read more

Solid diner located in a strip mall. I had the turkey club sandwich for lunch. It was massive. Plenty of left overs. Sandwich was excellent. The bread was expertly toasted and the turkey was moist. Ample fries provided. The inside is pretty much no frills in terms of decor. It has a nice mix of tables and booths. The waitress was attentive and the price was quite reasonable. I would recommend this place if you are looking for good diner food in an unpretentious setting. A Coney Island is a Coney Island. It's nothing special and you're just there for the food and to be in/out. This particular location felt very outdated though. I got western skillet and a small French toast to share with my friends. It satisfied the craving but it wasn't anything special. I also got a cup of hot coffee because I needed caffeine. They kept refilling my coffee but it would have ruined the ratio of the creamer and sugar I already had in my cup so I had to decline multiple times. read more

Stopped in early on a Thursday. Located in a strip mall off of busy Plymouth and the freeway. Clean and bright, everything is in good repair. When the food came I saw there was little butter on the toast, and asked for some butter packets, and the waitress got a disgusted face on. She also did not come back to ask if I wanted a refill of the very small sized soda pop until she cleared the dishes and dropped off the bill. So poor service. Worse was the food taste. It is a Coney diner, so it is not a Michelin star or anything, and is comfort food. This went much further, it was largely tasteless. I don't know if they buy the cheapest from sysco, or what. There were a lot of older people as customers, talking loudly and all that, and paying very slowly in cash and counting their change. So if that is not your thing, bear that in mind. read more

We used to get carry out from here every Friday but the guy who was so kind to do that has retired and so we don't get that benefit anymore. I remember getting spaghetti and it was REALLY good but hard to transport. Coneys and breakfast are all good. We have people in the hotel next door a few times per year when we do training for bigger groups and in all the years everyone has always liked it. Stopped in for Lunch on our way through Ann Arbor. We used to live here and like stopping in AA when we are back in Michigan. I have eaten here twice. Both times were delicious. You can tell there are so many regulars here. The staff makes everyone feel welcome. I miss my Coney Island restaurants in Texas. I can get Greek food, hubby can get breakfast. I ordered the chicken Philly sub, subbed out the green peppers for mushrooms. Added yellow pickled peppers and tziki sauce. It was so good! My side was fries and a mini Greek salad. They had amazing ranch dressing. That is a great statement for a ranch dressing snob. It's obviously made in house. Hubby had the pancake and eggs breakfast with sausage links. We went here today and I got the Western Omelette (I asked for hash browns inside and outside) with wheat toast. It was super good!! I also loved their coffee! The service was good and fast. My one complaint was my menu was very dirty. It even prompted me to use hand sanitizer before eating after I looked through it. It's possible the person at the table before us got it dirty so it could be a fluke but if the restaurant sees this, this might be a good reminder to make sure you wipe down your menus each day. read more

My first meal in Ann Arbor after a ridiculously long day of traveling. You'd think I don't have Gavin w/ me and it was 7:30PM so I could have driven anywhere to enjoy dinner but I was tired and wanted something close by. And since I spent the entire day traveling, I wanted to hurry back to the hotel to catch up. One thing I do know. OK. Two things I do know. You must order the Gyro Sandwich and you must order the Coney Island Special. Their service is genuine. I felt right at home. I ordered a lot because I did not eat all day and I know the one thing that would turn my day around would be: good food. Come here if you want fast service, good food, a variety to choose from. The gyro was WONDERFUL and the Coney Island looked ordinary but tasted extraordinary. I ordered a Coney with just onions with a side of onion rings. Preston. Got and ready before I even took my coat off and got comfortable. Eveything here is GREAT and fast. There was 4 cooks when I was there hence.. Fast. But besides the the food being fast All the cooks had head coverings on wheter it was hard or nets but I really liked the fact that they wore gloves. Everyone tried something different so I did a bit of sampling and to my surprise everything was good. A face mask is required to enter but once seated off they come no temperature check it seems to me they practice social distance but the server did not have face mask and just hope they know your food can be amazingly good but still make customers feel safe about returning to dining out. Yes they have good food but I found specially the older women at the cash register on Saturday is unfriendly, rude her attitude was she was to busy standing and doing nothing and she did not want to be disturb. I am on a walker I received from the VA and just stood there staring at me while fought the doors to get in lucky a gentleman came to my aid and helped get in and out. I never went back and let the veterans who was staying at the Microtel hotel about the incident. It's a great experience for my first visit! It's a small restaurant with open kitchen, you can smell the food( so as well for your jacket or cashmere coat...) but it's just like you were having breakfast cooked by your mom. People working there is very friendly, the lady's smile warmed me, in a dark and cold morning. They gave me a super large pancake, not a normal size they usually serve though. My husband and I were staying at the nearby Doubletree Hotel and heard they had a great Big Burrito so we gave it a try. They did not disappoint. The food was excellent. Mens Bathroom was clean. I ordered a Gyro with coleslaw. Both tasted very good. I love thier sauce that goes on the Gyro. The second day I went here and got the "Coney Island". Wasn't that impressed, just a chili hotdog with onions and some mustard. It was still good, just thought it was gonna be something better. Marks in Saline used to serve great food, but over the last year and a half the quality has gotten worse and worse. Today I got a couple coneys and onion rings. It was the worse coneys and onion rings I've ever had. The buns must have sat out all night then they tried to heat them on the grill? The onion rings were over cooked in old dirty oil. I took 2 bites of this food and threw it out, been giving them business since 2004, the last couple years have now convinced me to NEVER eat there again. read more
